SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST TEACHER OUT THERE, SHE IS VERY CLEAR SPOKEN ,GOES THROUGH THE PATTERN STEP BY STEP , SHE IS THE BEST OUT THERE IF YOUR A BEGINNER. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK THAT YOU DO..TY SO MUCH
TMI !!! I know your heart is in the RIGHT place, BUT ... I got so very frustrated going over and over and over. I've been crocheting for over 50 years! Finally, I scrolled down the comments and I could clearly see that I was not alone. I've never made a crocheting video but this has taught me something to keep in mind, as I too try to give people as much info as possible and sometimes less is best. Like I said, "I know your heart is in the right place," so PLEASE don't ever stop teaching, but maybe use this as a learning video, I know it has for me. I will scroll comment 1st and see what the people are saying. B.hooked Crochet, thanks for posting ~ btw, one of the comments talks about making a poinsettia, using red yarn, I think that would be awesome.
Shad Ebinger The whole point is for beginners, if you look at the comments the ones who dislike how long the video is are not beginners. The beginners are in love with this style of video. She explains several times she does this on purpose to make the tutorial beginner friendly for people who don't know as much about crocheting in general. She offers the written pattern specifically so advanced people can use it and skip around in the video IF they need help. The written latter is available so you don't have to watch the video at all.
@@jessiegarner2772 She's not talking about being too slow or going over basic stitches too many times. It's about being too detailed but somehow also omitting some information that would have helped figure out what's going on - like when you're just starting a new petal and the first sc is going into the slst that went into the ring, and then the hdc is going into the back loop of the last st. She does it, but doesn't say it like that, which would make it easier to understand and to learn this unusual pattern by heart. Also the written pattern is driving me insane because it's different that the video!
I am so glad that you care enough to take your time to explain the pattern. I am a beginner and am happy to say that I made two of your headbands with the button on them. They came out good for a beginner. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to more of your video's. Now on to the spiral flower :)
I just want to echo what Gloria, Karen, Christina, Aminah, etc. wrote. I think your pace, delivery and level of detail are beyond perfect for novice crocheters. Those of us with more experience can simply fast forward through the video to whatever next step we need. Thank you so much! ツ
And while I am an advanced crocheter, sometimes I just like to watch someone crochet (or knit)!!! So I pull up a video of something pretty like this and mute it and change the speed to faster setting if need be.
This is beautiful!!! I'm thinking of making them in sparkly red to make poinsettias to decorate a Christmas sweater. Thank you so much for this lovely tutorial! ♥️💚❤️💚❤️
The spiral crochet flower is stunning and your teaching style fabulous madam... Fantastic... I also saw your written instructions which is also very good.. A big thank you 🙏🙏👍👌👌😊 I will definitely try and let you know
This flower pattern is so beautiful! Your creative mind is genius. Thank you for sharing and for the detailed explanation; it really helps beginners like me to get a better understanding of the reason behind the different techniques. Thank you so much! So glad you found me on Instagram.
Thank you for sharing this pattern, I was able to follow along easily. These turned out beautiful! Even my 15 yr old daughter loves them, lol that doesn't happen often with her.
I TRULY appreciate ur approach 2 a TUTORIAL. ...I'm an experienced crocheter and when I learn a new stitch I need 2 slower break just as a newer person 2 the craft would! !! Thnk u so much & I've def subscribed & will be using ur tutorials often moving forward!!!♡♡♡
I 1st found your rose video after trying another ladies page who done it with 3 rows but i ended up doing yours with the 2 rows and it turned out excellent compared to the 3 rows 1,anyway now halfway thru this flower and have to say that your videos are easy to follow..Thank-you for tutorials
Thank you so much. The filming is perfect, your instructions extremely clear and the pattern beautiful. It's also wonderful to see your "ups" moment and then you fixing it, that way I don't feel like a screw up when that happens to me :p Also, it's lovely to hear your own trials and tribulations with the pattern, again, makes my own mistakes much more passable.
Great pattern, thank you so much for sharing and for having such great video's that give so much detail!! Your ability to clearly explain each step if so helpful beyond words!! You are a wonderful TEACHER/INSTRUCTOR for this type of helpful video!! Thank you again, this will be on my list of TO DO projects....
I love your videos and I think you do a great job explaining how to make everything. if people have a problem with you taking it slow then they should just go look at the pattern. I really appreciate the work you put into your videos. Thank you :)
Thank you so very much for teaching this tutorial, you did a beautiful job! Mom always said, never be intimidated & always try things at least once. I agree, I've made this gorgeous flower. Now I can say, without any reservations, that I will NEVER do it again... EVER. I've done whole baby blankets in less time & with much less aggrivation!!! 🤣 Thank you again!!!
I love this flower, but just as a warning the written pattern in the description for the large flower is different to the pattern in this video, don’t switch half way through the petals or you will have very wonky petals!
Thank you for the video.. You are very good at showing nice a slow for me to flow you..some peoples video are to fast I can't keep up... Looking forward to seeing more
I added this lovely flower to an earwarmer and I'm in love it! I used the biggest flower so it's definitely a statement piece... Thanks for the tutorial and pattern!!!!
Thank you for sharing the beautiful flower. For used shower crocheters, could u possibly put items needed in med size black lettering so we can pause, write it all down, then have it all ready to begin? It would be so helpful. I enjoy the videos that show items/materials needed for recipes, quilting etc also. Less pausing and backing up. LOVE this flower. Plan to make many and get the small and medium size patterns also. Thank you!
Very good video tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I can think of a way to turn this into a motif. Simply create a square using stitches of your choice and in a contrasting colour, and attach this flower onto the square. It would be great because it adds a 3D texture. :)
At the being it did drag abit but I can see why, I was come on come on lol but I'm that's because I just want to get on with it but have found I make mistake so this is good you stop me from making them. Also once you have done one petal it gets easy and easier to do the rest xx thank you x
Thank you you are the best teacher I seen ever till this day so well explain that anyone can do it because the way you take us step by step I love it question can this pattern be made in a blanked?
Sorry, but the written instructions you posted on your blog/page don't have any mention of treble crochets or double-treble crochets--for any of the sizes. What am I missing?
I think this is great. My thought going into watching was for a washcloth or a scrubby! Not sure if large size dimensions might need to be a bit bigger. If you could share those dimensions it would be wonderful. Before I dare try to figure out how to increase size =-O if needed. Scary thought actually..Lol but? TY
This is so fun to make, although I am only able to fit 10 petals instead of 12. When I tried to do 12 it was bunched, but 10 lay flat perfectly. Not sure what’s different that I did- I used 5mm hook and worsted weight 😌
Yes, please! The darker the yarn the harder it is to see, especially with my OLD eyes. A bright sunny yellow 💛 would've made me feel a lot less errr... murderous. Kidding of course!!! I really struggled with this one in spite of your exceptional tutorial. Thanks again!!!!!!
this looks great! it’s a little frustrating that the video pattern for the large flower is not the same as the written pattern on your website, but i’ll make do!
Love these flowers! At the bottom of your written pattern you mention layering the 3 sizes for a 3D look. Do you have any tips on how to bind them together to use as an adornment for a hat? THANX
bjr a vous merci bcp pour votre magnifique vidéo cette fleur pour mes bandeaux est trop belle même si je parle pas votre langue je regarde vos geste et sa va très bien merci encore pour ces jolie chose bisous et a bientôt
I am confused I love the pattern you are using in the video but it is not even close the the written large pattern???? the starting chain is different numbers and sts completely different???
Hi Karla! There's a little note in the pattern that mentions the written instructions have been re-worked to improve the pattern and overall shape so that's where you're seeing the difference.
Can you please tell me how to make this flower with lesser petals? Here you have made 12 petals, how to make 9 petals flower. Please reply Thanks for this tutorial 😊
I love this. But while following the directions. I dont understand how i kept running out of stitches to treble stitch. I dont get it. I counted. Its the the right ammount of stitches. Im lost. And its agrivating): anyways. I love the pattern. Cant wait to master ittt

Thank you for sharing this pattern. This is a great way to test your stitch repertoire. It's also a great way to practice them too.
I much prefer this spiral flower version to others. This version looks sooo much easier and tidier. Thank you.

Yes, I agree using a lighter color yarn would be better especially for beginners. Love the pattern.
