Your instructions were great. Easy for people to understand. I am 93 years of age and even for me it is very easy to understand. The cc really helps for the hard of hearing which I am. Thanks again. Pausing for crocheting is also a great thing.
I have been meaning to make these popcorn stitch flowers for ages .. People are asking me for brooches for winter here. So off I went to my crochet flower playlist and there was that blue flower glaring at me again .. It's so fun to make, I like things that are finicky. Your tutorial is possibly the best tutorial I've ever seen. So clear, so modern. Love the fonts & how you teach. Very good for beginners & intermediates. Advanced could just work from the written pattern. I'm glad I have the written pattern so I can work at a faster speed. Anyway now I'm waffling .. Just want you to know how thankful I am that you took the time & effort for this beautiful flower & beautiful tutorial 👏🏼😃
I'm a lefty and thanks for having a left handed tutorial! It makes it way easier for me to follow.. Going nuts with this pattern. Love that it has dimension. Can find all sorts of uses for these. Brooch pins. On baby headbands. As bows on presents. The sky is the limit. Thanks for sharing this. Look forward to more awesome patterns.
You made this so easy to follow. I appreciate you showing exactly where stitches are supposed to go. Some of the other tutorials I’ve watched have not provided that courtesy and as a beginner it makes it very frustrating. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing skill.
You've explained this perfectly, thank you. I followed your instructions and made a neat little sunflower, using brown for the centre & yellow for the petals. Many thanks.
Dear Brittany, Years ago my mother used to crochet, she made the most awful things and I had to wear them to school (back in those days children didn't say NO) I have steered away from crocheting ever since... Because I Home Ed my nine year old I have recently gotten back into yarn crafts and recently we had a couple of 'yarn days' with some other Home Ed friends. I was teaching weaving and knitting and was asked about crocheting, I was a little derogatory towards it but afterwards felt this was unfair so took to the web in order to find something that I could tackle that I didn't feel would end up looking like one of my mother's Frankenstein creations. I came across a number of flower projects and decided they were small enough for me to have a go at, especially as I had completely forgotten how to crochet. I had made three flowers from three different designs, then came across yours. It looked robust enough that I wanted to have a go (many of the things my mother had made were those kind that have great big holes that catch on everything and pull the article to pieces). I absolutely love this popcorn flower, I made the first part with a much smaller hook, simply because I don't have the same size that you were using (in the past, this would have made me anxious that I was doing it wrong but all you lovely ladies posting these wonderful videos had already given me more courage), and when I came to the end of your video tutorial and had made a lovely little flower it felt right to just carry on with another colour, then I intend to put a third colour to finish. Most of all, I would like to tell you this.... as a person who is dyslexic, and therefore has to pull apart work many many times when following a written pattern simply because I had read it 'inside out', these wonderful tutorials, that can be paused and rewound as many times as is needed, are absolutely the answer to this problem, so thank you so very much for taking the time and effort to post them. XxXxX
Thank you for this video! I'm currently trialing a load of different crochet flowers to see which ones would work in my wedding bouquet that I am making, I have a feeling, this pattern may be one that makes the cut! Thanks for making it such an easy pattern to follow
You could use this pattern to make a wreath for Christmas. I like this pattern. It's easy, very useful, and pretty. Thank you so much for sharing this. I wish you peace, love, and happiness always.✌🏻💐🐾🧵🇺🇸
I'm brand new to crocheting but was able to follow everything you did as your instructions and videos are so clear. I'm thrilled with my popcorn flower and can't wait to try out another of your patterns. Thank you so much x
Marvellous just finished a flower. Very good explanation & a nice speed for my little brain to keep up with. I find with crochet the trick is where to start a stitch it is not always obvious with all that yarn hanging around. Thank You
Love the tutorial--such a cute flower I'm going to add to my new granddaughter's beanie:). Just so you know and to save time--the old way to connect the top of the popcorn stitch, is to keep the loop on the hook, turn the work to the back and insert hook into the first top loop, yarn over, pull through both loops (slip stitch), chain one, then turn back around for the next stitch--way easier than taking the hook out on every stitch:)
This is exactly what I was looking for! You’re a great teacher. Can you possibly show how to crochet more bold big flowers? Thank you for this video ♥️
This is an awesome video. I had no trouble understanding where to place stitches. Thank you so much for sharing! A must for beginners wanting to try a flower.
Thanks for sharing this! My daughter needs a new cushion for a papasan chair we found. I'm making a giant "flower" this was the best 'in the round' video.. others were very hard to follow. Thanks again for the inspiration! 💜
Brittany, I am also really pleased with this way of making a flower because it is so simple that I can now continue with the project without watching the tutorial, the pattern is so simple that I remember it easily. Thanks again :-)
Loved this flower pattern! It turned out so cute on my cloche hat using the same yarn color as the hat (ecru). The texture of this flower is what makes it so cute. I also put a button in the center of mine. Thanks so much for posting the video. Beautifully done!
hard to find pretty flowers to do crocheted flowers in besides a rose i am starting to like this flowers format. and i would defintly give this little flower a try soon !
For other people like me who didn't previously know the rule for increasing a circle, on the 2nd round you put in two petals in every space as shown in the tutorial. To make a wider flower, in the 3rd round you put two petals in every other space with a single petal in between. On the 4th, you do double petals in every 3rd space, and the 5th round has double petals in every 4th space. Continue in the same pattern. The tutorial just says to follow the normal rules for increasing, but I'd never heard what those rules were before and had to go look it up.
You are wonderful thank you so much for your tutorial us newbies really appreciate the great tutorial with all the steps thank you very much have a good day
Your flower is beautiful and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Do you have a tutorial for crocheting an amigurumi lamb using the popcorn stitch?

Me gustó mucho. A pesar de no saber el idioma, pude entender todo, porque lo explica muy muy despacio y muy bien. Muchas gracias. Está muy lindo. Felicitaciones.

This a fantastic tutorial and I am very grateful for showing how to make this flower as well as a the popcorn stitch. I do have a question (it may sound silly): if I want to make an adult hat like a one "huge" flower (for myself), then (as I understand), I would have to increase, then decrease some of the stitches but....How would I calculate that? I have been trying and practicing to "make" some things for the pas 2 years. Some turned out good, some didn't. I am new to crochet. Any help or ideas would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
