- This video I took some time ago shows the removal of the old automatic brake pedal assembly and the conversion to a manual clutch/brake pedal assembly for hydraulic clutch set ups. This should work in 73-87 Chevy and GMC squarebody trucks. My truck was a 1977 GMC Sierra k25. I apologize for the shakey camera work. Leave any questions in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Ive done all the pedal swaps...actual trans swap...but Im going to use the mechanical linkage, not hydraulic...as soon as I work out where to put the hole for the pedal to bell crank rod through the firewall
That doesn’t go through the floor? I’m not sure of the square body trucks but my 74’ F250 clutch rod went through the floor to the z bar.

That was the next step for me but I wasn’t smart and sold the truck.
I just took my th400 out and put in a sm465
More fun to drive that way!
Would clutch and brake pedals out of 74 fit a 86?
I believe so but depending if you were going to keep it manual z bar set up or go to hydraulic set up you will need the support rods from pedal assembly to the firewall that bolt to the back of the clutch master cylinder.

Correct. Out of an 86 Squarebody.
where did you find the measurements
I found them on a forumn but there is a u pull it yard that went to for misc parts. While I was there I able to confirm these measurements off an 80s k20, probably 85 or an 86.
