If I want 32 XLR inputs and outputs from the X32 rack? How do I do that?

You will have to purchase the Behringer S16 module. It´s a digital "stagebox" with 16 XLR in with Midas preamps like on the x32 and 8 XLR out. When combined you have the full 32 channels available. We have this setup in my band for recording and IEM´s. We have configured 24 channels for inbut to DAW and 8 channels for output from DAW, so we can play along to the previosly recorded tracks and click. It´s a killer setup and we are still learning and finding new possibilities.

Can i record internaly one channel at a time at time??? Is that a recording mixer???

You can record channel-by-channel from the mixer into a DAW, but you can't record each channel internally.

So let me get this straight.. it's a 32 channel mixer that only has 16 inputs? So you have to buy a separate 16 channel input box to connect to make it run 32 channels? That seems like somewhat shady marketing. And for the cost of this at $1700 it really should have an HDMI video out for running a display/touchscreen. The Ui24 has one and it's $500 less. In fact I could get two Ui24R's and have 48 channels for the same price of the X32 and S16. So given that, is there anything that really makes the X32/S16 combo that much better? (and losing 16 channels in the process??)

From what I have heard about the UI24R, reliability is the main concern. For me personally, I ruled it out because the side inputs appear like it would be a pig to deal with in a live setting. I believe the sound quality on the UI24R is considered to be higher and overall, they are both excellent units at the price point. For us in the UK, the prices are almost the same ($10 difference), so I have always tended to stay away from the UI24R because of the issues I mentioned.

Yeah the regular X32 is 500 to 700 dollars more expensive so it makes sense.
There's no point in an HDMI out since you can get the XTouch controller and just use that for a full integration, this is a much better mixer overall and it still has more channels anyway

​@@ilpatongi Huge investment.. the X32 is $1,700. The other unit to add the additional 16 channels it's capable of is another $600 and now your adding another $500 for tactile faders. That's going to be over $3,000 when all said and done. Can the Ui24 really be so bad lol.

@@oldowl4290 Yep, it's nowhere near the functionality and refinement of the X32, the Ui24R is direct competition for the XR18, not the X32.
Besides, in the US the X32 Rack is 1000 dollars, here in Europe it's 1400, so it still comes to about 2400/2500 euros with every accessory, the same price as the full fledged console.

10 minute vertical video??? Seriously??? C'mon man, you can do better. Also, this is a 22 channel mixer. The 6x 1/4" Aux Ins can be used just as easily as the 16x XLR ins. What's that you say, they don't have full dynamics processing like the 16 XLRs... well just reassign them to say channels 17-22 and poof, now you have full dynamics. For the naysayers, it's an extremely versatile, re-programmable & amazingly expandable mixer that used to cost about $1200USD. However, in Aug 2022, Behringer got greedy and raised the price to $1700. At this point, there is absolutely NO justification to buy this unit. The Yamaha TF Rack is the one to go for at this price point (combo jacks on all inputs & outputs, full touchscreen with 8 channels accessible per page, the list goes on & on), or save a few bucks an go for the less competent, less versatile, less expandable but none the less excellent Soundcraft Ui24 as others have mentioned.
