    Great video. I was confused on how to route IEM using the aux outputs and this helped. Thank you

    Thanks Chad!!, this is just perfect, I'm in the process of setting up 2 x32 racks and an S16, was thinking to use 2 outputs form the S16 for this the 8th stereo iem mix. Now I'll do it this this way!!
    I think I will keep Bus 15 & 16 and use the LR mix for this instead, to be able to setup some vocal reverb and instrument verb for the band

      That works. Just keep in mind that whoever is on the LR mix will need mixing station or the full version app since the monitor app won’t allow access to the LR mix. So choose someone you trust hahaha!

      I think this still works, but you can also use the LR as a reverb send. You used to be able to separate left from right with some sneaky routing but I don’t think it works anymore after one of the firmware updates.

    Do you have a video on how to setup this rack mixer with a split snake and IEMs?

    Thanks for the clarification! Pretty helpful.
    Just wondering: Did you ever check the latency of the USB Multichannel-Interface?
    I was thinking like: Maybe one day i'll need more than 8 stereo IEMs i might just use a beefy MacBook, have the USB connected to the mixer, connect several audio-interfaces with let's say 32 outputs total and route the incoming X32 signals to the individual outputs via a DAW.

      You could also look into the Behringer WING. You can run up to 16 stereo bus mixes off that bad boy. Also, the X32Rack acts as an excellent digital stage box to pair with the WING.

      Yeah, i only wished that there was a Rack-Version of the wing. I love the wing and have used it on a couple of shows on FOH (+Monitor). Worked and sounded great.

    Could this work on the Midas M32R, which only has the monitor outs on the back? If so, can you use those as direct stereo outs to a livestream audio interface?

    In a x32 rack, Will I be able to add 7 stereo IEM out using a s32 digital stage box? I mean can I use S32 box and use all 16 outputs ?

    • @AWTechTuesday
      @AWTechTuesday  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can do up to 8 stereo outs (16 outputs) from the X32Rack to an S32.

    Hi, any chance you can do a video on how to add FX on each channel please. Basically my friend bought one for his Karaoke. We then plug 2 wireless mic receiver, so we uses 1-4 channels for mic inputs. We managed to add FX (reverb) on channel 1 but got stuck on the next 3. Any help will be greatly appreciated….first time using digital rack by the way.

    Thanks for the advice! So if I have understood correct initially bus 15 and 16 are assigned to FX sends and if we use these buses in USB L and R we loose those FX sends, basically it is ether additional outputs or FX sends?

    • @AWTechTuesday
      @AWTechTuesday  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Essentially, yes. Now, if you’re using the X32Rack as a monitor console, this may not be an issue as you can still send the FX returns from the FOH console to the monitor console. Check out this series for more info on routing more than 32 channels between consoles - m.th-cam.com/video/Z9CyqIDnh8c/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps :)

      @@AWTechTuesday So is it possible to have 16 buses for IEMs and still have fx to use in those IEMs? We are doing an X32 for FOH and an X32 Rack for a monitor console. I would like to use all 16 buses for monitors, but still have the option to have effects in the in ears.

    • @AWTechTuesday
      @AWTechTuesday  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jeewilly321 Yes, in this example, the FX are generated at FOH and passed on to the monitor console.

    • @jeewilly321
      @jeewilly321 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AWTechTuesday So I would pass them to the monitor console from one of the 1-6 buses on the front of house console? Just like in your video where you passed a talkback mic to the monitor console.

    • @AWTechTuesday
      @AWTechTuesday  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jeewilly321 you can use the busses or you can pass them straight through using your outputs. Either works :)

    Hello! When I play with my band the master volumes ducks when we push the faders. Its like its a limiter somewere on the master L/R that limits the sound - it does not distort. Do you know anything about it? Im a sound technican but cant figure it out.

    • @AWTechTuesday
      @AWTechTuesday  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you checked your amps or powered speakers to see if you’re hitting limiters there? Is there a limiter or compressor inserted on your LR mix or any matrices it may be feeding?
