Hi, people recommend lifting the bonnet from under the wheel arch & wiggling it as you lift it, it worked for me.

One fan will be plenty for that engine.

Best way is to lift from the wheel arch and flipper handle at the same time.

@@misplacedgarage you can also try reaching over and grabbing it from the center top by the windshield. Grabbing from the center prevents that sideways flexing which creates cracks over time.

I’m also concerned about your exhaust. It looks a little low to me. The stock exhaust is tucked along the center next to the driveshaft on the passenger side.

I have been reaching over to the center and pulling it up and it only works so well.
Yea the exhaust is a bit low but I don’t have many options that don’t involve cutting the frame and redoing it. But if it proves to be a real problem I’ll have to do that.

Some Spitfire drivers claim the optional front spoiler help scoop air into the radiator and was good for a drop in temp of up to 10•C….

I’ve been thinking about getting one of those but not for the added cooling benefits haha.
