I’m younger and I subbed when you were much smaller and now after you accumulated more of a defined older fan base I love looking through the comments of people with no profile picture and their full names on their account. It’s like I stumbled on a adult conversation. Love the videos.

Awesome feel and look of the jacket - ALTHOUGH I got caught in heavy rain a couple of years back in Sweden and the jacket got more or less soaked. Left it to dry overnight, and it shrunk considerably in both length and width..!! Ended up selling it shortly thereafter.

I own a pre-N1 jacket the "deck hook" one. They are pretty thick just like the N1, I sized it up one size and fits me perfectly. Dont know if its the same case with buzz rickson, but with all the thickness maybe should consider choosing one size up.
I have the real McCoy version and love it .
Also have one made by Eat Dust that was half price of anyone else and is just as good .

These reviews are very, very much appreciated. I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these, but the light colour worries me somewhat. Can you wash it if it gets grimy? If it’s built as well as it looks, it can last for years, and no washing it wouldn’t be an option for me.
Looks like a very nice durable warm jacket.
I have an m1978 USN jacket, utility, blue my uncle gave me that I wear at work and it's great.
Very durable / utilitarian, and it's pretty lightweight yet much warmer than you would ever think.
I'm sure it's nowhere near as warm as this or my M65 with liner but great for early fall before it really starts cooling down ( that's when I break out the m65 )
Sounds nice, I would like to add a M65 to the collection at some point.

I don't know about there in the UK, but you can get a brand new one from Golden mfg for as low as $60 here in the states.
They were a Gov't supplier until the m65 went out of issue in '09 so the jackets are the real deal made to USGI specifications, though produced for the civilian market.
They are definitely very functional and versatile, though the ny/co material is not quite as waterproof as one might hope for the design with the stowaway hood and all.
I know to many they are a fashion piece and once represented certain political beliefs, but to me the m65 represents dedication hard work and a commitment to serve our country.
Many members of my family were issued the m65 by our country.

From my experience of Buzz Rickson gear I found them to be alot tougher than Real McCoy's. I've had the M-65 jacket from both and the Buzz Rickson walked all over the Real McCoy's for tough construction. The Real McCoy's had a bit more detail though but the Buzz Rickson M-65 was built like a tank

How do you find the alpaca lining? is it itchy or scratchy with a t-shirt on? my Bronson Deck Jacket is quite scratchy, particularly the collar and sleeves

Nice one mate. How do you find the hand warmer pockets? I have the RMC N1. I find the pockets slightly higher than I'm used to but still ok. Ill do a vid of it soon. Love the content
Yes I agree they are a little high but useable, especially if the jacket if unzipped.. just been out for a walk around town and this is a very warm jacket!!

I’m new to this channel and I just subscribed, and I think it’s a good idea to mention the price of the items you review to avoid any “sticker price shock” when a person is interested in an item but won’t be willing or able to purchase the item. Also, this would spare them the time and trouble of going to the site just to be disappointed.

Yes, I agree fully. Most of the products that Devon Reviewer covers are top end (= expensive!). He's very good at the reviews, but a price range would be very useful. I'd like to get some of the stuff he talks about - many products are in the hundreds of £s !
Thanks for subbing and point taken. I guess a lot of the time I am thinking viewers are people on the verge of purchase and just looking for the detailed info to make that final decision to purchase or not. But I guess that isnt always the case.
From what I have seen their stuff is probably worthy of investment and resale seems good if you tire of a piece.. the price put me off for a long time but it is starting to make sense..
Thanks for the feedback, I must admit I rarely mention price unless my expectations are exceeded, for example with the Urban Shepard boots.. The heritage game doesnt need to be excessively costly, check out the Bronson review, I really like their stuff!

Hey all - I am super confused about one aspect - some websites promote this as [100% alpaca wool lining], others say [alpaca fur and alpaca wool] others say [alpaca AND wool pile lining] whilst the label attached to the jacket says [ALPACA and WOOL and COTTON lining]. I bought from a website which says 100% alpaca lining - is anyone REALLY familiar with the actual construction of the lining who can enlighten me? I would expect alpaca pile at this price tag but who knows ... Thanks!

I'm only 3 minutes through this video and already my question is how this N1 jacket compares to the Iron Heart version and what drove you to choose the Buzz version rather than the latter. My apologies if you do get to this discussion further along the video.
I would certainly like to try out the IH.. the BR is a faithful reproduction and to be honest via Denimio much more affordable.. the IH is somewhat evolved, it has an internal pocket which I do miss on the BR

hows the break in on the urban sheapherds boots going?
I had been wearing around the house and they were doing good, so I took them out for a couple of miles.. they need a bit more work before they are broken in yet!
