@@sergioramirez1693 it is expensive for the materials that are used can be more costly than a good leather jacket. I pay for this in HInoya 400 pounds maybe 500 USS.
I had one of these jackets a few years back, and LOVED it. Material, style, fit, everything was spot on. Unfortunately one night I got caught in some very heavy rain and had to walk in it for about half an hour or so. Came home, hung the jacket on a rack to dry. The next morning the jacket had SHRUNK considerably! I would say it went down a full size (shortened in sleeve length, and slimmer overall.) I was pretty frustrated by this and reached out to Buzz Rickson's to complain. They came back to me saying that this kind of shrinkage simply isn't possible with this type of jacket, and that they couldn't do anything for me. I ended up selling the jacket a few weeks later.. To this day I'm still confused by the whole experience, and always wonder if anyone else has had the same kind of shrinkage lol!
Another great review Diego. I tried to get an Oiled black Iron Heart version recently for my son but they'd all gone in his size. Im like you, in that i prefer the traditional colours. I think id even prefer a early blue version.
Great overview. I picked up one back in 2018 and loved it. Outgrew it and decided to pick up the newer model. Sadly, quality of the lining has decreased. Blend is the same (40% alpaca, 35%wool, and 25% cotton) but its alot less thick. My only gripe with this jacket. Hope it will be as warm. Edit: i did not get the demotex one. Maybe i should have.
Just ordered a Pike Brothers one. I tried on the Real McCoy's and Buzz Rickson ones and the RMC one was too small and the BR Demotex one imo too expensive after the price increase and I didn't necessarily want the US NAVY stencil on the back. The RMC one was beautifully made and I would have bought it if it fit.
It’s a nice jacket the only negative is the stenciling.. if you didn’t serve it would be embarrassing having to explain .. I have the Ironheart N1 in the same color .. The quality is unsurpassed.
Hi! Good point, but I think this jacket has not been in service since the 60s; it is a historical piece; moreover, in the late 40s and 50s in the US, it was used by civilians who were in service and who never were in service. The Iron Heart version is an excellent jacket!!!
@@UrbanLadUKhey buddy don’t mistaken my comment as a knock . You actually earned a new subscriber here . I apologize for any confusion . Like I was saying I actually love the jacket and I do see it as a histrionic piece . I was only referring to myself as a person who didn’t serve I would feel awkward explaining if someone asked but the jacket is badass and the video was very informational and I appreciate you guys who put out these product reviews . Keep the videos coming . Another thing with regard to the stenciling I generally don’t like any logos or stenciling on anything I wear.
Not at all!! as always, I thank you for any input to help me make better content. I appreciate your support!!! By the way, the Iron Heart N1 was my second choice very close to BR´s
Urban Lad do you know by any chance the price of the silvermans navy deck jack i cant afford the expensive ones and iam not into the Mil-tec nnº1 usn navy deck....apreciate
I think i am going to buy the bronson navy jacket is there any one who knows about their sizing 1 am 1,67 77 kg apreciate any information sorry Urban Lad i cant afford the Japonese i am retired guy...a hug
Great jacket i had the original buzz rickson with the great fur I personally think the buzz N1 is the best one I have the rmc now I like the fur is more premium but the fit on the buzz is better
With all due respect I admire this video and the time it took to make etc. However, first of all these jackets were meant to be worn with the shirt tucked into one's pants. This is late 1940s. The blue cotton sailor's shirt were made quite well and provided ample length to wear inside one's pants. See SM Wholesale USA. This looks bit off with shirt going below hem of jacket. Secondly, if you cannot wear an N1 with a light sweater as Paul Newman did after his service in the Navy it is too tight. What I like about this video is how he discusses Asian sizing. I believe these jackets are All made in China. Buzz is simply made to higher Japanese and military specifications. So yes a Size 44 which is a Large should be XX Large. A Medium is X Large and a Small is Large. That was my experience with a similar Asian N1 make. I recommend SM Wholesale USA for utilitarian modal. It seems the Asian modals are often cut tight perhaps to save money on fabric or to appeal to contemporary trends which do not fit historical reality. At the moment most clothes are worn tight to save on fabric because we are still in a recession, and because fashion tends to fluctuate between roomy and tight fitting. We are currently in tight fitting mode etc.
IF I wear a jacket with a USA logo most people would call me fascist....I guess you can get away with that in the UK but be careful wearing it in mainland Europe.
i have the olive green iron heart.. best jacket ever.
It is really good!!!! As with all IH products, never going to let you down
How much was it. I really dig the old military/Americana west sadly you don’t make these anymore in America

It is good to know if anyone else has had the same experience. So far, to my knowledge no one has had that problem, but it is important to know
Lovely jacket for this time of year.👍👍👍

Subscribed!!
Thank you!!!
Sub here! Looks great on you. Also, I like your frames. I'm thinking to try that shape with my next glasses. I keep getting the wayfarer style.
Hi!! Thank you!!. The frames are Moscot and the model Miltzen. Small changes give you a fresh look 👍👍👍👍
Have a Bronson. Pretty accurate jacket. Not alpaca lining, but looks about the same. Wool blend. Cord shell.
I don't know how the products hold in the long run, but they look perfect for the price tag

Hi, the Silvermans N1 Deck jacket looks very nice. The price is around 170£ 👍👍
Do you think you could wear size 42 in this (and also move) or is the 44 snug for you. To my eye it looks bit roomy.
Hi, probably 42 for me is going to be snug, 44 it is very comfy and I don't feel that is roomy

Bromson is a good option, and according to your measurements, the Size 38 looks like it suits you if your chest is not bigger than 42 inches
It is bigger@@UrbanLadUK

where did you buy? is this the 15345 lot?
From Hinoya last Summer, Lot: 12032
@@UrbanLadUK I just bought one from Hinoya. This year's LOT is 15345. Do you know if there is a difference?
There is no difference; a different lot doesn't mean a change in the jacket; it only tells the period of production

In matter of fact I was wearing this jacket in Spain and France this weekend and so far so good.
Same here. Nobody ever called me anything where I live. Not that I’d care anyway.
Huh? I'm an European ANTIFA punk rock kinda guy and I wear this jacket, lol.
Most people? Really??
What a ridiculous comment.
