I can play Sims 2 again with no glitches or crashes. My Toshiba is now just any old PC game with a disc I can install, player. The factory reset worked.

​@@user-wk3cn7fs5c yes it did! If you have a Win 7 PC, when you first turn the PC on, does it go to a sign - in screen, for password & maybe username? I think if you hold down the Shift key, then click the power option icon, select Restart, it should go to the menu where you can choose to reset, refresh, or just continue starting the PC.
