I had the Saddleback Case on my 11 Pro Max for just under two years. Recently upgraded to a 13 Pro Max - and have bought another Saddleback Case. Love the case - it took months to break in - a great case. Mine was never super tight - but my phone never once fell out of the case - so your mileage may vary. I dropped a few times and the leather provided excellent protection. My case went from light chestnut to a dark walnut. I regularly conditioned my case.

Excellent review. Great to hear about your experience with the case and not just a rundown of its features, which can be found on the website. Only suggestion is to get a mount or tripod for the camera.
Just got mine for my IPhone 12 pro max, lets see how it holds up, I do love the look so far, I got a very good cut of leather with no blemishes, just the natural grains.

The case looks great, especially after darkening over time. But it is not machined like a typical case. The lip is giant over the front side, and the buttons aren’t perfectly aligned. I wanted to love it, but I don’t.
@@seattleleather good to know. I reached out them about the 14 pro max version and they’re still working. All I use is leather cases but this probably is a pass now.
Bought this case....not very happy. The buttons are awful, phone doesn't fit properly, looks really rugged with the Dremel cuts. I am sure some will love it, but it just isn't that nice or refined as other products.
They do make a point of saying so on the listing. It’s not meant to be perfect. But really could be with better design work and time out in. I’m sure that would make it prohibitively expensive however. I’m going to be getting down and dirty with the dremel and sand paper to make my case better

Yes it is. That's what I love about leather - it wears in, loosens up. And often good veg tan leather (like this phone case) doesn't stretch either. However, after three months it was already too loose to hold my phone securely.
@@MrAjmorley1 I'll probably try that at some point soon. Leather loosens up, so I'd imagine this issue would eventually crop up for most people with this case.
Seattle Leather Research yeh I get that. The only thing that makes me think it’s a dud, is because Dave has a video online of his own one that’s several months old with no issues as such. (On a side note I’m not sure why I care, your video put me off buying it. 😂😂😂) I suppose in that respect it was a great review. Even if the product looks nice.

Is that new 13 pro max case thick enough that the camera lenses don’t protrude?
@@sethhines4869 the 13 pro max camera array is flush with the leather, so I’m more cautious now.

New saddleback iPhone 13 cases are more gripping on the phone and mine is great

I'd be tempted to use 3m double sided tape on the inside.

On the phone it doesn't feel like it adds too much weight or bulk. It does feel like a tough piece of leather.
I owned couple of this cases and this cases they are the real deal I totally recommend I’m seriously honest

Why not send it back? Not many other reviews have said that it’s that loose. Sounds like it’s defective.
