Appreciate the review, been seeing bullstrap online lots and the products look amazing. Trying to figure out what my next leather case will be with new iPhone. I currently have the iPhone X with Apple leather case it’s 2 + years old and still looks amazing but I have heard the new Apple leather cases aren’t that great
You won't be disappointed by the look of the case for sure and it will protect your phone. But a couple small drops will hurt the case. They do have a warranty that will allow you to replace the case if it gets damaged. You might also check out Nomad - their edges are made of rubber but the case still looks nice. I just haven't been able to get my hands on one.
I love this case and I am so tempted to buy the Sierra Blue collar though I know is not durable. My favourite leather looking case is the TENDLIN 15$ which is Pu leather mixed with silicone. After a year of use I only have minor pilling at the corners and no one scratch. I wish they would make them in navy as well.
I have the ocean blue case, I really like the case with one exception, the case is no longer blue. The website makes the case look like bright blue, when I received the case it was nothing like the website. It was blue, but more of a very dark navy blue. After a few months it is now black. As a black case, it is fine. Everything else about it is fine, but don’t expect it to look anything like the website.
Sounds like that’s due to the patina? I suppose for the blue case that may be undesirable. I think Nomad does a leather case that does not patina, but I could be wrong. Something like that seems like a good idea for the blue leather case.
Another problem I’ve noticed with my Bullstrap case is that the opening for the silence switch is too deep.. I’m not able to get my fingernail in there to easily switch it on or off. Guess I just have fat fingers 😂
Appreciate the review man. I'm on the fence about it. I have a Spigen case coming and I could see myself using that during work and possibly switching off of that to the bullstrap for everywhere else where I tend to rarely drop it. Hmm dunno.
I never got around to posting my Nomad review but that’s my driver and it’s been amazing. Both are good cases. Nomad gets you 90 percent there while the Bullstrap looks just a bit better.
did you get the sienna with magsafe or just the classic sienna? i notice on the website the classic sienna looks like it has a more orange tone than the sienna listed with magsafe
Thank you. I’ve had it on my phone for about 3 months, but most of that patina happened within the first month. Pretty impressive, faster than any of my other leather products!
I have the exact same case. Dropped it once on the front a few months in and it tore off some of the leather. Ended up swapping to a hard plastic case after that. Love the look of it, but my Apple leather case I used to have on my iPhone 8 was far more durable.
I hear you. I wanted to love this case because it does look nice when not damaged, but one or two drops really hurts the aesthetic. I have a Nomad rugged case coming in a few days and I’m eager to see if they strike the right balance between looks and durability.

I preordered the Elite case when they announced it, so I’m hoping that’ll be more drop resistant with the metal edging.
Same! Check out the nomad cases. I was going to look at one but they sent me the 12 pro plus instead of the 12 so I’ll have to wait a while. I want to love the bullstrap, but I just dropped it again less than 2 feet today and the case took a lot of damage. It’s too bad!
They are running a sale for old iPhones. Their cases are currently priced at $20. Must buy.
They now have a lifetime warranty, so you can replace it twice a year for as long as you want... Seems to justify the higher cost.

Has lifetime warranty not 1 year.. unless they changed that recently.. for my iPhone 14 pro says lifetime warranty.
It's changed a couple times but I think you're correct now.

If u were to choose one case between this and the Nomad which would you go for? The speaker cut out on this one just screams a fall for me.
It’s a hard question. With the amount I drop my phone, I’d go for the Nomad. But it really is about preference at that point.
