  • Tired of the same boring Splash Screen on your 3d printer? Feel like surprising your 3d printing friends with a new splash screen on their printer and firmware that may or may not work? (actually don't do that) Well this video will walk you through the steps of adding a custom splash screen for Repetier firmware or Marlin firmware (pre 2.0).

    I see you have run both Repetier and Marlin firmware on your Monoprice Maker Select. What one do you prefer and what one would you recommend? I used your other video and files to upgrade my unit to the Repetier v1.0.0dev (mostly to get thermal runway protection) but the baby Z steps are nice. I'm considering going to something newer fir Repetier or maybe trying Marlin to see if I can get mesh bed leveling but everything seems to be working with Repetier v1.0.0dev so maybe I shouldn't bother?

    I dont have show splash line 1 and 2 in my marlin. i was able to get a custom bootscreen but the marlin screen shows up right after. any other way to have it now show up?

      which version of Marlin are you using? those values may be set in a different file or might be handled differently in a different version of marlin.
