For people travelling to CPT and wanting to know where to find the "rock nightlife" scene, here are a few suggestions: The Corner Rock Bar, The House of Machines, Evol, Surfa Rosa, and 'Aandklas' in Stellenboch.
Thanks for covering the Cape Town metal scene. I really feel we have the cream of the crop. I would highly recommend checking out Infanteria. They've been around since 2006ish and they are EXCELLENT. One of my favourite thrash bands in the entire world 😉
I second the Infanteria recommendation. Amazing musicianship and they're all awesome guys in the band as well. The second album is such a banger. My personal favourites are "Beneath the Waves" and "We All Have Dreams".
