Check out how RICH in GOLD this black sand is!

  • Checking out this new claim the first thing I noticed was the visible black sands behind each and every rock and on most sand bars too. Once I check the black sands I was astonished by how loaded they were with fine gold. But fine gold that would add up FAST! watch me sampling this claim with nothing but a gold pan for the first time. The next time I will have more equipment and more man-power!

Hey Dan I just wanted to thank you for being an awesome dude. I'm an experienced Miner so haven't learned a ton from watching your videos but I have learned a few things. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are very thankful for your experience. I am in Quesnel and go mining on the Frasier and Cottonwood Creek. I also appreciate the fact that you are teaching a young generation of minors how to do it properly regulations and techniques are both important

I'm glad you did this one! The bar I work has small cobble and loaded with visual black sand. I believe the concentrated heavies accumulate from wave action washing as the flood recedes.....the deposits are not on the downstream side of the rocks parallel to the river.... they're traveling toward the river perpendicular to the flow. I wish I could vacuum up the top inch instead of shoveling unwanted underburden (that's a new one!) and rocks.

A rock you can pick up and throw with one hand. A BFR takes two hands and ranges from being able to pick it up to just rolling it out of your way. A BAMFR stays right where it’s at and is always made from Leavherright. This river has lots of BAMFR’s!!

Dan , Black-sand looks very well rounded , compared to the gold flecks, lovely big feldspars on that rock at the end

just curious but would it be viable to set up larger rocks up a horse shoe shape along the bank to act like riffles in a gold mat? if so it would be a good way to concentrate the new gold in areas of your choosing to an extent. I've never heard of anyone doing it so it got me to thinking.
