I have a Dacia Logan as well and from my experiments I can tell you that the rear muffler is very restrictive.
Remove it and you instantly feel more power. Obviously not a long term solution.
Only downside is that above 4100rpm when the lambda goes open loop you can smell exhaust gases through the drivers window when it is opened.
Sadly the Logan has really whacky aerodynamics.
@@no-damn-alias my Dacia got a full stainless-steel exhaust with Sport-cat and only one big muffler. As I said in the Video, it's allready tuned. 😉
A Dacia around the Nurburgring seems like something Gran Turismo would make you do on the last round of trying for your B racing license lol

@@danielk9379exhaust valve ported to a bigger diameter, better exhaust with high flow cat, updated map for better performance, and lighter flywheel for a quicker engine should be enough for a cheap and nice improvement.

2nd, my favorite engine from the Renault group and by far the most reliable, you'll hardly find a more unkillable econobox engine from them than the good old trusty Energy (yes, same that came in the Renault 19 back in 87).

This video confirms what I felt in my first race with a Dacia Logan Cup car. On the straight its pretty slow, but in the bends, even here on the ring you'll see that you have ALOT of speed.

Misha do you remember roughly about 10 months ago when you were walking round the track when parts of it were being rebuilt and you were commenting on it. It proves you live and breath what you do!
Awesome driving as usual Misha. The longer it went on the less you used the brakes, they were probably ice cold by the end of the lap!

Anyone asume that this Dacia is fast on corners? Must look on the lap . Car is amazing in corners , only needs + turbo and 70-80HP to be so fun on track. Also is so cheap for race car . Not many ppl have money to spend for a high HP car with all upgrades.. Beautiful, what can i say. Misha is on fire like everytime 😉

These kinds of cars are way more fun to drive because if you are not fast with 100hp, you won't be fast with 500hp 🐎
Running costs, repair costs, spare parts, very do-able. When you pass the expensive cars with your "beater" = priceless.
Just over 10 minutes for the lap. This shows that it is only a difference of 2.5 minutes to achieve a brilliant lap time in a car that costs quite a lot more than this one. So it is about the driver as much as it is about the car!
I mean 2.5 minutes is massive but yeah you dont need to spend alot to have fun
What ya mean only? Jeeeesus 2.5 minutes of time converted to race time is like light years difference.
@@Niels-booij That's right. True. It is massive. Sometimes having fun in a car that is normal and challenging can bring more pleasure than a Ferrari Sf90 or a Porch Gt3 Rs. But it is all relative.

This car loses time because it has no power, but you can still learn lines to keep max speed through turns, have fun, and practice without having to pay a ton in fuel.
@@sermerlin1 Yes. I agree with you. What is the most fun though? Driving a brilliant supercar such as a Porche Gt2 Rs on the limit or doing the same thing in a Suzuki Swift sport. I have tried supercars in this situation on other tracks and more normal cars. The end results the feelings you get from each car is surprising and it makes you think what is the best feeling you get from the experience.

Any Audi R8 video in line . Don't know but all R8's videos are full of rush and enthusiasm. Love from India ..wish we had the same car culture and community in India like Europe (especially Germany) ... Thanks to VW Skoda still offering some fun engines 1.5 2.0 TSI

Wonderful to watch... David & Goliath. For me it's so much more entertaining to watch a humble car taken to its maximum capability by an amazingly-talented driver and then be able to see how that compares to the average drivers in a Porsche, Yaris GR, etc. More videos like this are welcome by me, for one.

Man this brings back a lot of memories of driving in the Dacia Logan cup 🥲 one of the best race series I ever raced in! Because of the cars being so slow the drafting is forever, which means no one ever gets to pull away. Still one of my proudest moments winning the championship in what’s actually one of the most competitive racing series! 👍👍

Dacias are made in romania since the 1960s when romania was a communist country. So it was meant to be cheap and reliable which it does really well

Hi Misha, please forgive my ignorance, I was told by an instructor once that left foot braking was only an advantage if you had rear biased brakes. Is that not the case?
