Really interesting lap that shows 3 things important about the Exige V6 platform: 1) 5:36 rear end kicks because in "Race" mode, the ECU is learning the amount of grip available. And there is always a very first kick that you have to catch. You can then smash the throttle without any drama for the rest of the session. It resets every time you shut down the car. Race mode also helps to reduce the understeer to some extent. Glad you kept race mode. Fully off, the E-diff would have been off too and you would have been infuriated that the car can't put the power down, with the inner wheel living its best spinning life... 2) 11:12 Typical Exige V6 understeer when the ABS kicks. In this case, coming from the crest, when the car land, ABS instantly kicks because the weight transfer needed to help the car turn in never happened. This flaw is very common on all Exige V6 (only about 35% of the mass on the front axis coupled with really thin tires with high side wall, 215/45R17 Front VS 265/35R18 Rear) with factory alignment (about 0.5° Front). This can be greatly improved with a minimum of 2.0° of camber and better tires. Or at least, fresh CUP 2. Would have been interesting to see how old they were on this car. They seems to have dry out. 3) We can see in this video, how fast and epic the car feels to drive, even if this lap isn't really fast VS the other cars driven by Misha. This is what this car is all about: fun. Hope Misha that one day you will try a sorted out 410 Sport or 430 Cup 😀
@@mgcharoudin dashboard shows "Race". So TC is on, E-diff too. In addition, there is some help at corner entry to help with the understeer to some extent (this doesn't work like an ESP). One of my favourite videos of yours Misha, probably because I was fortunate to once drive a Lotus Exige on a track day in South Wales a few years ago. On the same day I also drove a GTR and a Ferrari (i think) California, and although the GTR was an absolute monster that was apparently tuned to around 600-700 BHP, the Exige was by far the most fun and memorable, the Ferrari being the most forgetable. I'll never forgive the Instructor for only giving me 3 laps in the Exige when i was supposed to have 5! I did get a free passenger lap in an Ariel Atom though to make up for it.
Just to let you know, race mode lighting show on means the cars traction aids are on maximum. You have to hold race again for a few seconds until the light goes off and the traction control light is illuminated. Then everything is off. Fantastic lap!
I love to watch every second of the driving part of this video cause you can definitely see how Misha really likes to drive this car and does it professionally. And one of my favourite cams is that is focused on the legs and pedals, there are some crazy and nice job. Amazing!
Those cup 2's saved losing the rear end a few times...great little cars with the power to weight ratio. You do not need 600hp in this little beast....just a nicely setup suspension, good tires, decent brakes and balls.

Awesome lap, incredible driving skills, cool owner and of course fabulous car! Brake pads suggestion: PFC 08 are great on the Exige. Squeaky when cold, but add a lot of friction compared to stock, and they last long. Other good options exist, but I can definitely recommend those from experience.
Sport is not a track car, Lotus Cup cars are track cars, which is why the cups have different tyres (semi slick) and I think suspension from the factory. I have owned both and for the road, a sport is perfect. For track, the cup cars are better as they really reward you for committing and loading up the suspension and tyres... Martin Donnelly is an awesome instructor at the Lotus Driving Academy btw
prob got the suspension setup what great for uk back roads they they can get very un even bumpy potholes and few jumps the softer ride makes it usable for a daily driver also a very fun daily

Some people like to kind of poo poo the Toyota power plant because it basically came out of a Camry. I’ll be honest though, it makes a ton of power for what it is as Lotus sets it up in that car, and it’s actually quite lovely sounding. Not many V6 engines sound that great. What a gem of a car.

Misha, that dude can freaking drive!! Thank you for this video!! The pedal cam is great to see heel toe shifting. Awesome car amazing driving skills. Well done!!
What a weapon the Exige is, Lotus know how to make a car thats for sure
One of the nicest sounds I have heard in this channel!!
Dude, the owner turned in to a fish! Bro was gasping for air! Awesome lap.
The Elise and Exige are my favourites of all time. 1M is a very close 3rd to those two.
Exhilarating lap. Excellent driving as usual.
The kid's facial expressions are PRICELESS!!! lol I'm sure he will never forget this lap, Misha!
One of the best sounding cars you have done Misha.
Misha you played those pedals like Piano pedals, made the car sing around the whole track. The double clutch was perfect. Amazing video thanks.
After thrashing his car glad that Misha is advising him of some great upgrades, terrific car well driven....Sweet Car.
I remember my first Elise and being amazed at the level of driver involvement, mainly the non-servo assisted brakes! It's quite a shock at first. Loved that car. And this is his first car!????? Christ. He must have been playing a lot of Gran Turismo on Playstation :D
That heel/toe was on point Misha! Each vid I watch humbles me more and more. Amazing driving!
One of the most exiting laps I've seen! Amazing video! The car isn't bad either...
This footwork is just so heavenly
Some people like to kind of poo poo the Toyota power plant because it basically came out of a Camry. I’ll be honest though, it makes a ton of power for what it is as Lotus sets it up in that car, and it’s actually quite lovely sounding. Not many V6 engines sound that great. What a gem of a car.
If I ever have any money a Lotus is what I'd buy, what a cool car amazing lap about the best I've seen.
This is probably the video I enjoyed the most in your collection. Great, sound, great car, great driving! Thanks to you and the brave owner👍😊
Really enjoyed that one, what a driver Misha is, Owners face was epic.
Good pick for a first car!
Damn what a car!! Looked amazingly fun to drive around there and the owner was hanging on for dear life 🤣🤣🤣✌️ love the video overlay style you have going now too man. Good work
I drive a Lotus 410 Sport for my work pretty regularly, they are very capable cars. The only thing is long distance drives is a bit tiring, but on track they are very nice indeed !!!!
Don't know how I missed this video. It was a good watch. You looked like you were having a lot of fun from the very beginning. I hope someone lets you drive a JUBU Performance 500HP Exige, Evora or Emira one day.
What a sick car, one of the absolute best I seen on your channel IMO.
Id love to see 2 more laps with good tyres please guys!!!
The induction noise these things make 😍
Man you can drive !!!!! ....your footwork is great too.....safe but very necessary and effective.
Love the sound of the engine. Tried my friends Exige 360, and I finally found a V6 with almost as good sound and as great response as my all time favourite, the Busso V6.
Great video. One of those cars that had me stuck holding my breath without realizing!
Amazing sound 😍Hehe nice, was going to mention the suspension after a couple of corners, and then at the end Misha immediately addressed it too. You can really tell how a car drives just from video, especially with a capable driver at the wheel; that's one of the benefits of this channel, other than just entertainment.
I was tense just watching this lap. The car looks incredibly engaging!
