I have a question for you. When you do puzzles for this channel do you consider the spending time as leisure time and enjoy puzzel or just work? Thank you
I'm glad that I discovered ur channel. I love jigsaw puzzles too! Have u ever tried jigsaw puzzles from Japan before? They come in different varieties too. Like the pure white hell jigsaw puzzle, pikachu mosaic art jigsaw puzzle, stained glass jigsaw puzzle, epoch jigsaw puzzle decoration etc. Personally I feel that Japan's jigsaw puzzle pieces are generally good quality, the pieces fit in nicely and each piece is unique enough that u won't fit in the wrong one accidentally. I have been collecting jigsaw puzzles from Japan, they are mostly anime themed ones. My living room walls are filled up with jigsaw puzzles. 😆😁
Hi Karen, my question is, 'Is running this channel your only job?', and, if so, 'What did you do before you became a youtuber?' Thanks. I'm just getting back into jigsaws after completing a 1 000 piece Christmas puzzle.
My friends and fam can't believe I take my puzzles apart and get rid of them. It's a great way to keep my attachment in check. It's satisfying to know the puzzle will only last a few days.
HighMandi puzzles are so expensive where I live in San Diego CA. I can't even afford them. And I love puzzles! I used to do them all the time when I was little. I save up all my green chip stamps my father gave me he got them at gas stations when he got gas. When I was little I bought a round card table with them so I could do puzzles on them at my fathers suggestion. I love puzzles but had no where to do them, I was doing them on the floor in my room. I'm 63. Have A Nice Day!
I never even thought of keeping or glueing puzzles, I try to choose puzzles that I'd like to do again at least a couple times, otherwise it gets expensive!
Now that it’s 2021 I am so excited that more puzzle companies are starting to be more inclusive and representative in their art! Not only with the artists themselves as you mentioned but also depicting people in the art who are various colors and shapes and sizes. Hope this trend continues!
Oh, I love working on puzzles with my adult children!! We make up all kinds of fun rules like: doing a puzzle only row by row or how about this one, you randomly pick 5 pieces out of the box and you can only build off of those five pieces, but you can take away someone else's build if you can add a puzzle piece to it. Then you get it and can only be taken away again if someone else adds a piece to it!! There's more, but you get is gist. :)
My first puzzle in 2021 was the 1000 piece puzzle by cloudberries. It was my first gradient puzzle and i loved it! Imfluenced by you i wanted to try it and i absolutely fall in love with it! So please keep up to show us all kind of puzzles.
Just so you know, your videos are enjoyable even without a “hook.” Some of my favorite videos of yours are just watching you piece together and review a traditional puzzle. They’re very soothing and fun, and I hope that kind of video still makes an appearance every once in a while 😊
I'm EXTREMELY glad I found your channel! It's hard to find another person out there with the love, passion and genuine interest in puzzles! No one in my personal life but my grandma (RIP ❤) ever does puzzles and they think they're annoying, too much, boring, etc! I LOVE jigsaw puzzles! I wish I had the space to do 5,000+ pieces! I only do up to 2,000 pieces! I also glue my puzzles lol one day when I get my own place I want to frame my favorite puzzles and have puzzle pictures here and there in my rooms. Or even a dedicated puzzle room 😄 I also love how we have the same opinion on make up lol I hate the way it feels on my face and for me personally I never wear it. I don't feel myself wearing make up. Another thing lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets bad neck cramps when doing puzzles! 😂😂 I love your videos! Keep up the good work and I'm excited to see more content from you! 😊💖👍
I have only been puzzling for a year. I thought for sure I wanted to hang them all, but soon realized that is not practical or easy. I realized there are puzzles I would definitely do it again, so I now understand why taking them apart can be as satisfying as putting in that last piece.
I enjoy how articulate and introspective (that might not be the right word) you are. I think 2021 may have been when I first discovered you (perhaps 2020) and I really enjoy following you now. Thanks for taking the time to give us some insight into your thinking and your world.
That's so crazy to think that you take them all apart 😧 puzzles take me so long that once I'm done I immediately glue it all. It's like my reward for completing it! Seeing it all put together in front of me and getting that gratification of sealing it forever ! :)
I can’t stop watching you, Karen! You are just so genuine!!! I’m so encouraged by you! I believe 2021 will be a much better year for me, and I hope the same for you!
LOL!!!! I watch your current stuff but when I get a bit bored and need some content, I will sometimes browse older videos like this and the very first question and where you are now with speed puzzling and teams...your answer makes me laugh so much because you do so much puzzling with others now!!
Karen you make me soooo happy !! the best part of my week is watching you do puzzles :) I really feel like we're best friends just talking and having a cute sleep over, muahmuah look forward to this year with you.
I so look forward to this new year -2021 does feel hopeful. Maybe i’m being overly optimistic, but i know we’ll at least have a fun year together watching your 2021 videos!!!!!
I'm kind of relieved to hear that you take your puzzles apart to do them again! I told my partner that I always take puzzles apart and put them away, then later do them again. He said he's only ever done puzzles for the purpose of gluing them and hanging them up and said that he'd never heard of someone doing puzzles again. So, I thought maybe I'm weird? :P But nice to hear that you do it, too! :D
Happy 2021! I feel the same way as you about acquiring a variety of puzzles. I'm not so good at letting them go, so eventually will run into storage issues.
Your *2021* futuristic feeling reminded me of New Years 2000. Everyone was going crazy over the new Millennium. So many people thought that all computers would crash and the infrastructure would collapse. Good times! 😂
2021. I look forward to your videos, Karen. Your enthusiasm is so adorable! I've rediscovered my love of puzzling during this pandemic and it's great to see your techniques and reviews. Keep safe and keep puzzling!
puzzle gluer here! I'm so jealous of people who don't get invested in their puzzles haha. I think since I don't have alot of time to puzzle, there's no point to just take it apart if I won't return to it and I also worry about losing pieces. I like having the pretty art on display with the added bonus of knowing I had a small role in it 🥰
Found your page before starting to do more of my puzzles, after gave 6 of them to goodwill in town that allowed it with all the pieces. I'm in Socal area. Final puzzle have is 2000 pieces my younger brother got it for me Christmas 2019
Oooo i love Josephine wall buzzles from buffalo games. The artwork is beautiful and there are glitter bands through some 💕 I have kept all mine. Sealed and mounted on foam board. Im in love with them.
I love watching your videos. Your enthusiasm over puzzles is wonderful. My favorite puzzles are the Night and Day from Buffalo. I just finished my 6th one last night. I have a small apartment but I made sure I can build 1000 piece puzzles on my table. Target has an amazing table, and that is 40in x 40in and 2 sides can fold down to be smaller.
I love the process of puzzling and I take them all apart immediately afterwards. I rarely keep it up even 5 minutes. Thanks for your video! And happy 2021! 🧩
My local library in Prescott, Arizona has a puzzle exchange section. You just bring one (or more) in and take the same number home with you, sorta like your street exchange box. It is a good feel to donate, as well, if I end up with extras. Since the pandemic set in, I’ve been buying them from Goodwill and other thrift stores, and you can get them for as little (here, at least) as a dollar. I don’t let it bother me that I sometimes trade an expensive puzzle for a cheap one at the library, because I feel like it might encourage new puzzlers to get hooked. Thanks for your interesting content, and all the effort it takes you to put it all together.
2021. Thanks for the video. I always enjoy hearing about your puzzle and life journey. You definitely keep it interesting, with content and presentation.
My husband and I are big puzzlers. The hardest thing for our relationship was working on a puzzle together, for the exact reasons you said. Since we cannot fit two puzzles on our puzzle table, we had to learn how we can work together without ending the relationship 😁 What worked for us was I sort out the edges as he works on the edges. I sort out the different colors/patterns while he works on the edge. Then we work on different colors/patterns. This allows us to enjoy working the puzzle together while not working on the same thing so we aren’t looking for the same pieces. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!!
Wow! Since you mentioned the variety of artists of color, I googled African American jigsaw puzzles and saw MANY beautiful examples. I plan to buy some to assemble and hang. Also, my daughter (31) has become interested in puzzling and I introduced her to your channel. Thanks for the ideas. Love your channel. (btw, I'm LA too!)
About the table problem: isn't applying silicone in the gaps a good idea? applying with the gun on the underside of the table and smoothing it out with your finger on the top? that would give a almost invisible look and would keep the pieces from falling
I like how it looks in general, so I don't want to permanently change the table! I think the best solution is to just put down foam board to give me a smooth surface.
I have the same table in a different finish and I don’t find the gap a problem. I do lose pieces down them occasionally but my cats find them fir me. I keep finding teeth marks
Why not buy a puzzle mat? They are larger than the boards you use and rigid enough if you buy the right thickness of felt. Plus the pieces dont slide around/I can roll it up when needing space. You can buy many colors also, or just buy a huge swatch of felt from somewhere like etsy.
I’m watching this January 4th 2023 and this morning I was thinking the same thing. This 2023 year sounds so much like the far future! How can it be we’re already here?! This year I’ll be looking forward to a lot more of your video’s and a lot more puzzles! I’m really enjoying them and hope I’ll be able to find some of those amazing puzzles you’re doing here in Europe.
2021Just happen to come across your videos one day ago, while looking up information on glueing a finished puzzle. Thrilled I did!!!! Now following you on instagram! Enjoy your videos! Interesting, Fun & Happy! Keep them coming!!!!!
2021, right? Time flies. I live in London, UK and I wish we had some kind of Puzzle Republic here too. I love the idea! I take apart my jigsaw puzzles right away too, and if I enjoyed them I keep them and love to revisit them in the future, but there's definitely a few ones that we frustrating to put together - I put them on eBay on drop them in a charity shop, but I'd love a cute little house I could drop them into :D
I love that you share new artists and different styles, I to love the process, I live in LA too and I trade puzzles with my hair dresser and my daughter so I always have a supply.
I love to find out more about the puzzle artists. I was so charmed by the beautiful watercolour illustrations on a Pomegranate puzzle by Claire Winteringham that I looked her up & she has an online Store & couldn’t have been nicer about shipping a picture to Australia! I now have a beautiful watercolour print of hers in my office which I never would have discovered without puzzles!
I'm hoping to do more puzzles in 2021. I also take all mine apart and either donate or add to a redo pile. But I do a 300 piece puzzle in the time you do 1000. And I like my partner to do puzzles with me. It's a fun way to sit down and talk to each other.
The little puzzle library is such a good idea! I do puzzles so fast too and don't have the money to but them so often. I gotta see if they have that here
You could be doing Ravensburger puzzles every week and I would still watch so no need to ever feel pressured, but it’s really cool you’re getting into unusual puzzles too. I really enjoy the vintage ones
I just spent $64 on a 1000 piece Ravensburger on ebay. I just recently got into puzzling ... I was under the impression they were not exactly luxurious but by your comment sounds like they're average ... I guess I need to be more careful.. I did love the illustration thats ultimately why I got it but I'm guessing I overpaid. In this time of covid, seems like puzzle prices have shot up for the more unique ones.
@@Katie-vy5rd Ravensburger are definitely quality puzzles. Probably among the highest quality available, but they’re not super exciting compared to a lot of other stuff. Edit: $64 is still a lot to spend on a puzzle though. Ravensburger are usually around 30$ in my area
@@kristine5561 agree , 64 did include 19 for shipping. It was pretty special but last time. This was shortly after missing out on a very unique ravensburger that I left in my shopping cart overnight then it was gone, so the fear of missing out factor was at play when I spent the $64.Thanks for your reply!
Im so glad Im not the only one who takes puzzles apart/redoes favs. Ive never understood gluing them. You never get the joy of assembling them again. Plus its rare I love an image enough to want it on my wall. I have art I buy for that reason. 2021 I am ready to puzzle!
I am glad my husband has no interest in doing puzzles. I also want to do my puzzles all alone. Gluing a puzzle has always seemed such a waste of a good puzzle! I was glad to see a new “Karen” video during the week! 2021
I love passing on my puzzles as there are VERY few I like to do more than once. I am happy to have a fried who also likes to puzzle and we regularly swap them.
I bought the lemony persuits puzzle you reviewed during the last video and it arrives in the mail today. Ya. 🧩. I like learning about art though puzzles too. And I think ur make up routine suits you and you’re beautiful. You don’t have to justify your make up or lack of it to anyone. That’s something that I have learned to fully embrace that I don’t have to be like anyone else. 2021
I take my puzzles apart a few minutes after I build them. I was trying to sell them on ebay but I didn't make enough to make it worthwhile, after postage and fees. So I'm just donating them to charity shops now.
Normally I hate when people mess with my stuff too!! This video helped me realize that I am so fortunate that my boyfriend has no patience for puzzles and only walks by occasionally to find matches that I never saw! ❤
Do you get into a zen mental state while doing puzzles? I do. It's one reason I love doing them. I would describe it as a pleasant, enhanced feeling of clarity and mental acuity.
I used to get occasional but severe back pain (e.g. one instance I could not stand up straight and multiple times I could not sit, in one of those cases not being able to lie down either). I started going to the gym and never really had it again, even though I later stopped going. Now it’s well over a decade without it. I’ve once or twice had different back pain, but it has more been due to tension from stress and not crippling in the same way. So, anyway, I agree: exercise is the key.
2021. I take my puzzles apart right after I finish them too. I do my puzzles on my coffee table. It is big enough for most puzzles. It is an old kitchen table that I had cut down. It is 19.5" high. I find that the height is good for me. It doesn't cause as many problems for my back and neck.
Today I'm answering MORE of your questions! Happy puzzling everybody 🧩 🧩 🧩
I have a question for you. When you do puzzles for this channel do you consider the spending time as leisure time and enjoy puzzel or just work? Thank you
Thanks for answering my question about your makeup routine! It was quite a surprise to see my comment pop up in the video😅
I'm glad that I discovered ur channel. I love jigsaw puzzles too!

About the table problem: isn't applying silicone in the gaps a good idea? applying with the gun on the underside of the table and smoothing it out with your finger on the top? that would give a almost invisible look and would keep the pieces from falling

2021...Great idea with giving puzzles to your community, nice to let others enjoy them if you don't want to do them again.
The little puzzle library is such a good idea! I do puzzles so fast too and don't have the money to but them so often. I gotta see if they have that here
When I looked at my phone I had several notifications for new videos on TH-cam of course Karen puzzles is my first choice above all others 💙
That means so much to me!
Thanks for the new video. I bought one of the mystery puzzles after your video about it. Blimey it’s difficult. 😂. 2021
Im so glad Im not the only one who takes puzzles apart/redoes favs. Ive never understood gluing them. You never get the joy of assembling them again. Plus its rare I love an image enough to want it on my wall. I have art I buy for that reason. 2021 I am ready to puzzle!
2 Karen videos in one week? Wow, we are in for a treat!
Love the puzzle sharing thing! Puzzles for everyone in 2021 :)
Puzzles that I really like the image I will hang in a poster frame for a while, no gluing or taping necessary. But mostly I take them apart as well.
Karen!? On a weekday?!? I'm so excited!
please do a video of your personally favorite puzzles! I need ideas for my next puzzle to do
2021 is the year of the puzzle!!!
Jig saw Puzzles are so relaxing I love them 😍 2021.
I LOVE that there are little free libraries for puzzles!
Normally I hate when people mess with my stuff too!! This video helped me realize that I am so fortunate that my boyfriend has no patience for puzzles and only walks by occasionally to find matches that I never saw! ❤
Love the Q and A videos! 2021!
Do you get into a zen mental state while doing puzzles? I do. It's one reason I love doing them. I would describe it as a pleasant, enhanced feeling of clarity and mental acuity.
I get really good puzzles that I like the image of and tape or glue them, and hang them on the wall
2021, great Qand A.
Love your channel!
Thanks for the answers! We are here where we are in 2021
2021. I take my puzzles apart right after I finish them too.
I do my puzzles on my coffee table. It is big enough for most puzzles. It is an old kitchen table that I had cut down. It is 19.5" high. I find that the height is good for me. It doesn't cause as many problems for my back and neck.
2021 is going to rock!
2021
And I really love your channel
I hope your 2021 gets better and better😀 Have you completed any of the 500 piece blockbuster jigsaw puzzles
