Wolverine Blues was a James Ellroy reference. Which I mistakenly thought was from the book LA Confidential but is actually The Big Nowhere.
Would agree with your top 3.
Left Hand Path. Had the Nihilist "Only Shred Remains" demo via tape trading, which was my first time having a demo prior to a band releasing it's first record . When Left Hand Path came out it was a massive deal, and the record more than delivered. Best DM record of all time IMO.
Clandestine. One of those "what if" albums. What if LG had been in the band. Or if Orvar Safstrom, who did the vocals on the Crawl EP, did the vocals on the full length. Nicke Andersson vocals are still fairly good though.
Wolverine Blues. The record that started "death n roll" but did not forget the death metal side of the coin. Great album.
To Ride... Been a long time since I listened to it and I as a big fan of the first three, I might have overlooked some of its flaws at the time.
Uprising. Good death n roll.
Morning Star. Need to listen to this again, I recall being mixed on it at the time.
Inferno. Did not care for it either. Serpents Saints, probably only listened to it once.
