I used to not like them. Hate them actually. Bought one. Sold it. Bought it again. But akai just keeps at it. Constantly improving. It’s like being part of something rather than just buying a music computer.

I know, right? As soon as I heard about this update, my brain started darting in a hundred directions, just considering all the possibilities. In a way, it feels like a "golden ticket" type situation. We all lucked out and chose the best possible device at exactly the right time!
Arranger mode and a perfect looper and mpc will be the portable studio king!!!!

arranger mode would be great, right now i make entire tracks in one sequence. would benefit from more efficiency while not having to mess about with the song mode

This is amazing. I think you guys have probably doubled the capabilities of the MPC One since the day I bought it, less than a year ago. Crazy.
Same is awesome, bought mine in the first c19 lockdown 2020 too, worked out to be the best piece of kit I've ever bought.
Totally agree, they are setting a new standard, Akai and spectrasonics, they keep on giving and giving so much after you buy their products. That’s why I keep coming back

Man. Been an MPC user for 20+ years and have the MPC X and a 2500 now. So good to see AKAI carving a niche for the MPC. What an amazing update.
Worth giving major kudos to AKAI for simply supporting a product so heavily too. So many companies leaving their users high and dry these days. Makes the choice to stick with MPC so much easier.

After you install you need to add the synth content, for your stand alone - all you need to do, is login to your Akai account and download the Synths content (MPC 2.10 synth content) , just copy the SYNTHS directory to your SSD card and your new plugins will appear when you fire up the machine
I did all this and it’s still not showing up
Might have to put it on a sata drive
I installed the firmware first via USB stick , got the message when 2.10 installed stating additional content is required . I then removed my SSD card and copied the Synth directory on the top level - powered on the MPC and the plug-in synths were all present
MPC X - it does not. I has an ssd installed, copied it to the top level - nothing. Then copied it to an SD card, inserted, restarted - nothing
in controller mode it does show up. frustrating to be honest
I have to say, AKAI IS UNBELIEVABLE ABOUT KEEPING UPDATED THEIR MPCS.
CANNOT WAIT TO FINISH MY DAY OF WORK TO GO UPDATE MY MPCX !!!!!!!!!!!!!

not really, I have the mpc touch and I have to pay for this upgrade, and I also have machine studio, anytime native instruments come out with an update all of their units gets the update. not so for Akai...

This update is incredible I am actually going to start using my MPC one again because of this update I’m sure the arranger updates will be coming on 3.0 I would like to see unlimited slots for sample layering but what they did here it’s amazing, Akai actually listened to users with feedback and request unlike Native Instruments !!!!💯🔥🔥🔥
I bought a live 2 a couple of weeks back, and I’ve been really loving how deep it is. But this update makes it utterly amazing. Thank you Akai. If you keep this up I’ll always buy mpcs and don’t bother with daws anymore.

I usually hate the sound of VA synths. For example I never use tube synth cause I can never make something with it that I am actually happy with... But hot damn does the Odyssey deliver on sound. Idc really what it's supposed to sound like, cause I don't feel it sounds 100% like an arp, but this just made the mpc one a better synth buy than most standalone synths imo.
THIS NEW UPDATE IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GAVE US ALL DA PLUGINS WE NEEDED! Now we need something like Omnisphere & nexus with the spacey bells and spacey sine leads and pads! And now we need a new update to help us sequencing/arranging recorded audio with are [midi]/drums/instrument recording In the track mute groups! Bc mine just play thru all sequences unless i mute the audio the whole time or unmute it the whole time, we need better arrangement options in standalone mode for recorded audio! Bc i like using real hardware synths & real instruments too with my mpc in standalone mode!

I haven't even downloaded the update yet but Im so excited to start using these new features.. Thank you AkaiPro... I used to want a JazzMutants Lemur back in the day. I couldn't afford it then but now I have the MPC Live which is all that and more.. Thank you guys for putting work in making this thing so dope.

@@MGoolas Yeah it's great, as an old fart can now use my mpc one like I used to do in the 1990's -early zeros with breaks on the old S950/1000/S3000 trough analog or digital mixer to tune the mix live P.A/freestyle, only the one is on steroids now with all the other vst updates.
This, is- the ultimate! Gift. Explored 5%, of the new offerings... HYPE sound textures have breathed a new lease of life to my MPC! Way to go!. .. @AKAI.. A quantum leap forward!

If you have the extra hundred, get the MPC One Retro. So tasty looking.
The Live 2 definitely has its advantages though, built in speaker, battery powered and you can install an extra internal hard drive. Both are great and do the exact same thing on the software side. I have the Live 2 and was contemplating upgrading to the X but now with being able to use an audio interface for more inputs and outputs I’m good, I’m looking at the Tascam Model 24 now lol.

@@ricardomilice2470A lot of these features are in development for the Force, but they havent released it for the Force despite the rest of the ecosystem getting it. A pisstake given it's the premium device out of them all..
Its coming soon for the force. It's in the release notes of the 2.10 update install. Says for 3.07 and above for force.

Right way to make products in 2021. Make dope hardware, plus great updates that matters. Unselfish design, props to Akai. Can easily upgrade minor hardware with those function but they did it right for the community!

It's up now guys!!! Download the firmware update and also the synth content so you can use the new plug-ins. Install the synth content folder into the root folder of your storage device and plug into mpc
The continuous updates makes me happy that I spent the money a couple years ago on my akai mpc live II. It's also awesome for me to test my eurorack modular stuff

The update makes MPC as functional as 737's cockpit.

Blown away. This covers all my asks except for arranger mode... which tbh should be important for anyone used to the MPC workflow. Seriously, this feels like a new machine, and akai finally understands that users need a LOT of good presets to get ideas started. Then we dial in sounds from there. Well they did a great job with the presets.
MPC truly truly is the standalone king. If there ever was a question this just shut up all the doubters.
