I’ve been producing for 25 years. This synth on the force is my all time favorite VST / synth. Ever.
I remember the first time I saw the APC 20 a friend of mine had it sitting in a box in his shop he bought a car and found it in a box in the back of it and asked me if I wanted it I was curious so he told me 20 bucks it had everything except the original box it came in that APC 20 changed my life.
After that I bought an APC 40 a 218 and now I want to get my hands on this. I'm saving every Penny I can.
AKAI saved my life it's kept me out of my depression.
And looking at this wow I could take my medicine with me everywhere I go. Thank you so much for making my life worth living.

I'm pretty sad that my DAW will never have a stock plugin as good as Hype. Usually people take stock plugins for granted and often seek out third party unnecessarily when they have quality sounds already. Third party should supplement what you have and not replace it. If you're an MPC live user don't sleep on this. Akai came through for you.

If anyone from AKAI reads this, first of all thank you for a brilliant update. The new firmware puts one up on making this a brilliant experimental sound box, to create our own sample content, well played.
Can you please, make the Program LFO to function like the LFO on Hype? So basically include the Tempo + Beat option so the LFO does not re-trigger from the same phase cycle, at each trigger. If you want to add a phase parameter to select at which phase the LFO will initiate for the Tempo + Note, that would be great.
Since you can implement this LFO on Hype, it would be easy for your programmers to add its functionality to the Program LFO.

That is great and it all works the same as every filter, amp, fx and so on, the main mystery of this synth is how to change the synth engines.

I can't find a way to change the osc type / waveform, or modify a bit more like fine tuning . Maybe in the next update? :)
I got lost just messing around with the first few presets on Hype for hours last night... then come to find out there's over 1500?! For the $, I think MPC One is THE One and only One.
So, basically what you're saying is that there's only one filter type and it's a lowpass (no hipass, bandpass etc). And that the single lfo is "hardwired" only to the filter and can't affect any other parameter on the synth

@@joebrewer4529 the force has phantom power so you can record directly into it. The update would give you more inputs with the usb.

I don't get it? What kind of oscillators are they? Is there more information on them? How do they behave?
Can you also record these changes to the presets aka motion record? How many?
Up to 3 synth engine each patch so, how can select and choose these 3 engine ?
How do you change the number of oscillators in a patch? Do I seriously have to base all my sounds on a existing patch? The 6 parameters in the main page are unmodifiable? Or am I just dumb?

I'm a bit confused, is there no way to change the "synth engine", i.e. what oscillator types are used once a preset is loaded?
A bit awkward having to restart sound design using another init preset when changes are needed, but maybe i'm missing a (hidden) function here.
On the Macro page, can't you double tap one of the sound engines and get presented with a list of available sound engine sources? I'm away from my studio and can't remember if this is possible or not. Otherwise, you have to load an "Initialize" sound engine source to start.
@@EnochLight What you are describing is changing the oscillator. What i'm looking for is changing the oscillator configuration (e.g. Wavetable & Analog, or Analog & Analog) which is not possible. Loading a new preset is not a solution, that's starting from scratch.
@@uly1981 - ah, right. When you're in a loaded preset, you can only change the oscillator from an available list, and that's it I'm afraid. Hype's strengths is definitely in its macros. We aren't given access to anything much deeper than what you see in this video.

@@elmortobeats5919 - I realize you're trolling (poorly), but for everyone who has a Force - Akai most certainly is not "scraping" it. You can be damn sure that Akai has some awesome updates planned for Force. ;)
@@EnochLight I sure hope you are right. I dreamed of Force being a DAW killer but a lot of basic functions still missing particularly in the realm of traditional musical composition such as meter change and notional representation. I am eyeing a copy of Ableton if Force doesn't get better soon...
Im having a very frustrating problem with MPC ONE retro. I can't access any of the new plugins; mellotron, hype, Solina or odyssey. i was able to export reaper and underground crates from MPC software onto an SD, creating 'expansions' folder but the 'Synths' folder was dropped into 'expansions' buuut they're not accessing. do i need to move the synth plugins to a different folder? I'm becoming very discouraged...
The 'Synths' folder has to be it's own folder on the root of the SD or USB drive.

The synths are great.
As a Force user I've been enjoying Hype for a long time already.
You get a lot of presets but you soon go through them very quickly. Akai are missing a trick by not releasing more sound packs for these synths.
Although Hype is a synth of sorts you cannot create your own presets from scratch.you can tweak existing presets but it ends there.
Hopefully now that all the MPC community have these synths we will get more people asking Akai to release more sound packs 👍
How you not make your own sounds? They literally have a bunch of INIT patches for you to start from scratch with. I have created things that aren't in the presets already. Every synth known to man has INIT patches to be used as a "blank" starting point. Also, you CAN SAVE HYPE SYNTH PRESETS!!! After you make your patch( see above about INIT patches), hit the DISC ICON on the top right. Once the save screen pops up, go to the INTERNAL drive of the MPC. Then go into MPC DOCUMENTS FOLDER. Then go to PLUGIN PRESETS FOLDER, Go into INSTRUMENTS FOLDER and they(AKAI) has already made a HYPE SYNTH folder for our presets. Go into HYPE FOLDER, name your preset and hit save. Now, when you go back into the Hype synth plugin a USER folder will automatically appear in the preset section at the bottom- with your just made preset in it. YOUR WELCOME.
@@IsshmanGarcia the INIT patches are not really initialised patches. You cannot change the sound engines to what you want.
You're more or less stuck with some of the settings on that first page which limits the sound design possibilities.

You can put them on a USB drive but it will always need to be inserted in the device.

These plug ins are not on my mocx and I updated and put the synth content on my hard drive. Plus I don't know what to do to save the sequence please help I will pay if need be

Wait, so you can only modify existing patches ? You can't create one from scratch ??
Under presets, (INIT) you can start with a simple sine wave, wave table, FM Init etc to build your own patches from scratch without manipulating the presets. Would love to hear what you can come up with!
The “synth content” folder is on my SD card in my MPC live. I rebooted my MPC and the plug-ins are not available but I see the file on the card
You need to copy it to your internal drive. Then reboot. Drag n drop or copy paste it.

@@babar141 do it with it plugged into your pc with the USB cable attached. You will see the mpc internal drive listed on your pc/laptop what ever you have in its drive list.

Hey I downloaded this new Mpc software 2.10 with no new plugins My mpc one is telling me I need to download it How do I get these new plugins in my mpc
Log into your akaipro.com account to access the included Synth Content
And once you download the synth content, take the folder labeled “Synths” and put it on an SD card that’ll stay in your mpc live. Took me too long to figure this out yesterday 🤦♂️

folder of a SD card or USB drive. You do not need to copy any of the other files. Then, insert the
drive into your device
I have the same issue. 2.1 install didn't install the plugins for standalone automatically.
The instructions are exactly that - copy the folder called "Synths" (from the MPC Synth Content file available from your Akai account) into the root directory of your attached storage (whether that be an SD Card, USB stick, or installed SSD). Update to 2.10, and then the new plugins will all show up. Just make sure your attached storage is attached before you turn on your MPC.
@@EnochLight Thanks. Yes I figured that out. But what's strange is that the existing standalone synths (tube, bass, drum, etc ...) must be on the internal microSD card.
I do wish the other synths, like hybrid, the Wub, rtc .. could be moved over to standalone, as well.

Yes they can. It works on all current MPC's (Live, Live 2, One, and X).

How to get it ?
Hype is available for all MPC standalone devices (MPC One, Live, Live II, X, Key 61). Make sure you are on the latest OS version. Log into your akaipro.com InMusic Profile to access the latest update.

@@70soul35 - yes for original Live (MK1). You don't see it on that page because the Live is no longer manufactured. It's the exact same hardware as the Live 2. Hype Synth installs and works fine on it.
