This is true. Some folks rather be entertained but, what if the church is doing a fundraiser? Is fundraisers with Christian entertainment wrong? I don't think it's wrong. There's a time and a place for everything. Flat out playing or doing secular entertainment in a church is wrong unless it's being done for teaching purposes.

Some worship and praise music to prepare our hearts is fine, otherwise church will be seen no differently than a concert, movie going experience or some other means of entertainment.

Every year, in every church that I've played in, they've had concerts, banquets, anniversary celebrations, Christmas plays, Easter plays and the list goes on. For each event I've mentioned, they'd go outside of the typical church service. The Word would be given at these events but it's not always in a 30 min sermon. Sometimes they would have poets, rappers, singers, bands or choirs performing. Matter of fact: I was in a singing group called harmony. We performed Momma by Boys II Men for Mother's Day a couple times in church. Is that OK or No?

I bought into being a music minister. (Not biblical.) It wasn't until I got into my 30's that I've realized that I was being used by some as a entertainer. Now I know that we don't need a worship team or a great band in church at all. I'm not saying to rid of worship. I rather the church focus on Biblical truth not experiences they don't understand.

Yup, I WAS GUILTY of doing something similar in my church. Rapping off of clean worldy music using GOSPLE lyrics but as I look back I WAS WRONG my heart thought it would draw young people to church BUT NOW I know that's the HOLY SPIRIT'S work. I have repented and won't do it again. And no one in my church ever questioned me, is that crazy...not a Deacon, the Pastor or another fellow believer.

Pastor Dharius Daniel definitely has the gift of the spirit to teach the gospel and I started listening to change church during the pandemic when he had the biblical intelligence bible study. However, since the church started being affiliated with other celebrity churches. They have adopted a more circular approach and gimmicky style of preaching which was never them,to try and relate to the current circular gospel . I now periodically tune in to their live church service but I really don’t appreciate the over exaggerated gimmicky flashy preaching. I miss when he just preached the bible and actually taught theology and in very simplified manner..
It is really sad and it's a shame that most churches let the world into the Church. What is supposed to happen is to bring the gospel to the world not the world bringing the worldliness into the Church. Like I said we are living in the end times right now like Jesus said falling away from the truth that is where we are right now.

First, clips without context don’t tell the whole story. Secondly, I think you’re being a bit hyperbolic. Jesus often used cultural or controversial content (prodigal son and woman at the well) to connect to a kingdom truth/principle. In the sermon on the Mount, Jesus used cultural norms such as love your neighbor but hate your enemy to reveal a kingdom standard, love everyone. I could go on… but using cultural content doesn’t mean friendship with the world.
We are so adamant that we are not under law we are under grace. Then the people with that is we are losing sight of what governs us. We beat the dead horse of grace so much that we will actively sin repeatedly. Everyone is governed by law. Anywhere you live there are laws we abide by. The question is what are the laws of the father??? The church looks more like the world than the world looks like itself

IDK I may be wrong but I think that sometimes it's just having fun. I think that if a church is having a concert or something outside of regular activities, I'd let some things slide. If it becomes a normal thing for every time the pastor preaches, then it should be stopped.

We don't need to turn worldly songs "churchy". The Holy Spirit is more than able to inspire melodies and tunes we need for worship, praise songs etc.
To these false teachers, the Gospel is not enough...the want additives, preservatives, high fructose and watered down Gospel so that the Gospel does not taste like the Gospel, sound like the Gospel or feel like the Gospel. They tread the courts of the Lord with foolishness. This man preaches another Gospel....he does not reach the testimony of our Lord (2 Timothy 1:8)...he is a motivational speaker...a TED talker. Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that he will also reap.
First, clips without context don’t tell the whole story. Secondly, I think you’re being a bit hyperbolic. Jesus often used cultural or controversial content (prodigal son and woman at the well) to connect to a kingdom truth/principle. In the sermon on the Mount, Jesus used cultural norms such as love your neighbor but hate your enemy to reveal a kingdom standard, love everyone. I could go on… but using cultural content doesn’t mean friendship with the world.

IDK I may be wrong but I think that sometimes it's just having fun. I think that if a church is having a concert or something outside of regular activities, I'd let some things slide. If it becomes a normal thing for every time the pastor preaches, then it should be stopped.
The church wasn't built for fun,
it was made to bring people to Christ, you can do all the other stuff on your own time.
