Let me also state that as a believer, we should also represent Christ by honoring our debt and pay our bills. If a pastor tells you to pay your tithes instead of your bills, run!
@@icemanred Exactly. There are actually a lot of Christian pastors who will tell people that they are not commanded to tithe. On the other hand the crooks living in palatial mansions and flying in their private jets will manipulate the people who can least afford it to tithe. They actually tell them to pay their tithes before they pay their rent/mortgage, utility bills or buy food. They emphasize paying the tithe up front. You have to pay on your gross, not net income. After they force people to tithe they start begging for love gifts, alms, offerings, pastor's birthday, first lady's birthday, pastor's anniversary, church's anniversary, and everything else to get money. It's rare these days to hear a sermon about salvation.
Interesting. About 5 weeks ago I changed my prayers and attitude about the job He gave me. Instead of complaining like I had been, I started practicing gratitude. I began praying about being a good steward, thanking Him for Mondays, and telling Him everyday how much of a blessing it is to represent Him at work (I do legal work from home- nothing “ministry” related). Ended up getting a promotion I didn’t interview for and a substantial raise two weeks after my attitude adjustment. Haven’t “tithed” in 8 months. 🤷🏾♀️
@@philw9787No, and I never said I didn’t give. I said I don’t tithe. That’s why the quotation marks. I give 10s of thousands of dollars in free legal work to churches and leaders- me and God are good. Plus, I tithed for decades and stayed in financial stress until I started doing what I said I did. Thanks for your concern. 👌🏾
I remember speaking to my former pastor about some of my stresses in life over the phone. He then told me that I should give in proportion to the amount of blessing that I hope and expect to receive back from God. So many are manipulated in this manner. Thank God I’ve always had a mind of my own.

Most who think they are tithing are not. Tithing was food and produce, not money. I do believe we should support our ministries, but not by misuse of scripture, trickery or by pressure.
The tithing is fake, the ministry is fake, the building is fake, God created his church to be upon flesh and blood, humankind, what God made with his own hands, not what Satan made through mans hands, everybody got it wrong. I'm ashamed to say that I've only learned about this tithing game about a decade ago, after having read through the Bible myself. Corey, you explain it well, especially about if you choose to be bound by one part of the Law, then we must be bound by the whole of the Law. And having your congregation fall more in love with God is perhaps the greatest version of commandment I think I've ever heard. Amen!
I have heard this my whole life and in various forms. Some just like this guy in the video to others that supports your view in a modified way. What I love about this channel is you causes your viewers to ask the Holy Ghost to open our minds to the truth. I don't just take a person on TH-cam viewpoint as the straight truth. I do, however, know when I hear the truth and hope that God continues to bless you and your channel.
I'm not looking for a channel my brother, God did not send JesusChrist and his disciples to build a building called church; they were the church, flesh and blood, Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19; Almighty God created it to be through what he made with his hands, humankind; and Satan used man to build buildings, so satan wanted his church to be what he made with hands, through man hands: Almighty God told us Satan said in his heart, I will be like the Most High (God), Isaiah 14:14.
Pastor at the church get in a public chat and start calling me a thief. He said I know you have a good job. I rolled my eyes 🙄 and didn't respond. I have never asked him for anything. I keep to myself. I hadn't been in there in over 6 months
I learned this about 20 years ago and when I did I was criticized. It’s so bad in many church BUILDINGS and BUSINESSES in my area, that some pastors and/or governing bodies require members to produce their tax info at the end of each year. That way they can ensure a member has paid 10% of their income. One of the mega churches in the area does this faithfully. Once my half sister got sick and was in the hospital and nursing home for almost a year. She almost lost her house that she was almost done paying for. No one from the church was visiting her. No one was helping her navigate her situation with being denied disability. She cannot stand up and required a feeding tube. She did not seem to be in a great mind space, yet she was denied disability as they felt she could still be a TEACHER. She has hired a lawyer…and guess what…no one from church helped her pay the retainer. And she’s been a member of that church for at least 25 years singing in the choir faithfully and paying tithes. And I know this is not an isolated incident.
My brother, that's cause from the foundation of the world,we, people, flesh and blood, suppose to been the church..... Satan knew God's plan, so he made a building called a church......
I check out ASBC services pretty frequently. This example is out of the norm for Dr. Wesley's teachings on giving (so I'm thinking they just wanted to bless a single mother that day). 9/10, he teaches to give solely based on what God puts on a person's heart vs. a compulsory %, and has been on record critiquing the misuse of Malachi 3. This is a very generous church that gives liberally in scholarships to students, in gifts to colleges/universities, their surrounding community, and gave a $1 million donation to the African American museum that was built in DC a few years ago. While the video could possibly give off a wrong understanding, I think the larger point was that God honors faithful giving (although I agree it doesn't always manifest in material form and our utmost pursuit should be holiness and Christlikeness).
You are absolutly right tithing is not for the church in the New Testament. The New Testament teaches freewill offerings. The Bible even says not to give money that you need (2 Corinthians 9:7). Furthermore, the Apostle Paul did not try to get money from people who did not have it too give, but a year later when they could give he told them to give, not by commandment, but in order to prove their sincere love. He also said that God accepts a person's willingness to give if they could, as if they had given, even though they could not actually give anything at that time. (see 2 Corinthians 8:8-14) God accepts the heart alone, just as much as He accepts the action. In addition, the widows, fatherless, and poor were never required to tithe in the Old Testament either! They actually received tithes once every 3 years (Deuteronomy 26:12). And te tithe was only of crops never money. That is why Jesus and the disciples never tithed. None of them were farmers. You could not tithe on money or even on fish. The tithe was only from the fruit of the ground of the land of Israel. This is why you also never see any thithes being given in Babylon. Many of these preachers are greedy of filthy lucre. The New Testament teaching of stewardship is to church leaders concerning church funds not to indviduals concerning their personal funds (luke 16:1-13). Peter even told Ananias and Saphirah that the money was theirs to do with what they wanted and they just should not have lied about giving all of it. So they were not required to give any of their money. They were only struck dead for lying about how much they gave, trying to decieve people and make themselve look good. (Acts 5:1-11) Also, Pastors are not to become millionaires off of church funds. The Bible says the elders who rule well are only worthy of double honour (the word honour in that verse means money). This puts a cap on the Pastor's salary. Even a good pastor should receive no more than double the cost of living for a family his size to live comfortably in his community. Therefore, if in the Pastor's community the cost of living for a family of his size to live comfortability is $30,000 per year, then the pastor should receive no more than $60,000 per year, no matter how big his church is or how much money is given to the church. And any deacons who rule well should be payed according to the same standard. If the church has a surplus of money then they should distribute it among the needy members of their church first, just like the first church at Jerusalem did, even to the point of paying off members' mortgages, if they just have so much money they don't know what to do with it. God does not want any of His people enslaved to debt, and Christians are commanded to seek to make each other wealthy. (1 Corinthians 10:24) Church leaders have a duty to make sure their congregants are taken care of. They are not to rob the poor and become rich off the ministry.
I grew up in a church where there were whole segments of the sermon about tithing. I was lead to believe it was a sin not to tithe. I’m so glad someone is being honest about this now. I understand supporting a ministry that spiritually feeds you, but flat out tricking people as if they will go to hell for not tithing is so wrong. Edit: It seems like this preacher took this little skit right out of the Mike Todd handbook.
This church does more in the community and nation than any other church in this country. They do great mission work and they are major donors to HBCU’s. The mission work is done in this country and outside of the country. They are a great church.
that don't allow the pastor to lie the early church reached the world and they did not tell 1 person to tithe go study every thing on the tithe and tithing to see the truth and tell the pastor to repent for preaching tithing it was not preached by Paul of any preacher in the new t and when Jesus rebuked the pharisees he never said they tithe money and abram tithe the spoils of war and we cant find 1 ver were Abraham ever tithe again and not 1 gospel preacher received tithes in the early church and Mal 3-8-10 was never quoted or preached 1 time wake up were free to give what ever we want no law no curse to pastor lying to make himself rich
Bad doctrine and good works can coexist. However, tithing was for the nation of Israel. There is not one biblical reference for a Christian to tithe. Giving yes, tithing no. If you want to call giving a tithe if your paycheck a tithe, ok (not biblical).
But before the foundation of the world, God created his church to be in humankind, flesh and blood, Matthew 16:18; that's how it was for the prophets of old. Let me show you how the Spirit of God brings things back to our memory; in 1 Chronicles 17:4-5, God told his servant, who he spoke through Nathan, Go and tell my servant David, This said the LORD, Thou/you shalt not build me a house, temple or building. 5, I have not dwelt, remained, lived, in a building since I brought up Israel (from the house of bondage or slavery) unto this day. In this, God helped me to understand where his church was, because he made me study, and forget not what he hath told me. But to Go out into all the world and teach all nations or people, Matthew 28:19-20; And in Mark 16:15, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. And we can't control the Holy Spirit or Ghost, until once or twice or 1 week out of a year.

Of course, and I'm glad you see that: don't to many people see that. After that we have to find others that believe the same, and be disciples of JesusChrist, and go out into the world: but people don't take that seriously; I told about 5 people on here that, and I lost them in that saying. This is awful. The church should not be policing how much in tithe/offering give or guilt people to give. Also, the church needs to teach people about financial literacy.
Creflo Dollar is notorious for that mess. He actually makes his congregation turn in their W-2 forms at the end of year so he can make sure that they're tithing properly. Terrible

Thank you, as always, for breaking down the Word of GOD. I know these scriptures. And I do, love the Word. I am tired of feeling guilty about not being able to tithe 10% of my income. I know that I should not feel this way about giving in the Kingdom of GOD.
Tithe teachers take select scriptures to push people to "tithe". As someone else has already pointed ut here that tithes were ALWAYS food. Jews who farmed or raised animals for food were the only ones required to tithe. I have NEVER heard a tithe teacher point out that tithes were only collected 6 years out of the seven year cycle. Exodus 23:10-12 10 “For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield, 11 but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the beasts of the field may eat...... Words are powerful. Years of listening to negative words about being cursed with a curse if one doesn't give 10% of income to God ( church) --brain-washing, fear sets in, and even if a grester understanding or revelation is given, damage is done. Personally, I tithe, yet I make sure I budget my $$.. so I can help someone else with a couple of dollars if needed. I will not give in 9k offerings for this, that and third. I certainly will not try to buy a blessing from God. He can choose or not choose... So far, my Heavely Father had taken care of all my needs, and I believe he shall continue. Pastor at my church would tell us that God will curse us and our children if we don’t tithe 10% of ALL our financial earnings I ran out of that church. It was all about that 10%
I appreciate this message. Unfortunately my mom bought us up in this way because of what she was taught but I thank God he has people who study and share His truths in the correct perspective. Will I stop tithing? NO. Will I share God's truth about tithing? YES. And let people decide if they want to or not. Thank you for sharing.
God's truth about tithing is its an Old Testament principle. Isreal was a theocracy (government and religion system one in the same) hence, the tithe was a type of tax unlike free-will offerings in the Old Testament. Hope that helps!

I heard this Pastor of a church give a testimony from a member that said she was in a car wreck and bc she was a tither the Lord spared her life… 🤔 so I said oh we paying the Lord to keep us now?! The church was so manipulative and I couldn’t stand it. I told other members about this and they didn’t/couldn’t see it. My family left and haven’t found a church since, that was over 6yrs ago.
I remember when my former pastor mentioned how much he paid for tithes and then pull out the stat sheets for the number of members who are paying tithes every Sunday. What’s interesting is that John Howard was his favorite pastor. So glad I left that church.
My brother or sister, I think you should leave all buildings called a church: Because for 1, God in JesusChrist build his church upon flesh and blood, humankind, Matthew 16:18; And 2, God, Almighty God told us in 1 Chronicles 17:5, I have not dwelt, remained, or lived, in a house, temple, building, or church, since I brought up Israel (from the house of bondage, or slavery) unto this day; 3, Satan said in his heart in Isaiah 14:12-14, I will acsend into heaven (it's 3 heavens, not where Almighty God is, Satan and his angels can not go back; had to make clear), or go up to heaven, I will exalt(or lift up) my throne above the stars of God (angels or actual stars, I can't tell, but God knows)...... 14, (Satan say), I will send(go up) above the heights of the clouds, (maybe it is actual stars, because Almighty God always put the definition of things, in the scriptures, or the next scripture, or close; I learned this from God himself; when God gave me a Concordance, and caused me to study to show myself approved unto God; and at the same time, I didn't know God would show things that I never knew, even people in the world .....). But Satan said in Verse 14, I will be like the Most High (God). 15, But God said, Yet will you be brought down to hell. My point is that God set up his church in flesh and blood, and Satan set up his church, with mans hands.
I know God Almighty sustains us in more ways than one!!!!!! Ministers should never make promises to someone (especially out in the open) making a spectacle of that person could be very embarrassing. I understand he was trying to make a point, but that could have been done in private, like in his office with one or two other ministers present. We to support the work of Christ Jesus, not to get something in return. God bless you and yours brother Corey🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Tithing is one of the less dangerous things that Dr John Howard Wesley teaches. You should definitely check him out Corey to see all of the other false doctrines that he teaches. Great video!
Dislike his example? Tithing was for the nation of Israel, not the church. There is not one scripture commanding a Christian to tithe, but to give. However, if you want to believe that a tenth of your paycheck is a tithe, fine (not biblical). Give cheerfully!
4:26 - I totally agree brother Minor. And the irony also is that by exploiting this woman's situation, and making a public spectacle of it to make his point about tithing, he's actually disobeying the Lord other commandment about not giving charity to be seen before men: "[1] Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. [2] Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward" (Matt. 6:1-2).
I agree with Pastor the church blessed her in return she gave back with the ten precent without faith it's impossible please God. You may get back in money but God always give back blessings. That Mog guilt her he blessed sow a seed into her life.
8:18 Sadly a lot of people feel there is something spiritually wrong with themselves because they are not getting that pressed down shaken together and running over blessing. They think “maybe I haven’t been good enough,” or “maybe something is wrong with my heart even though I tithe religiously.” It ought not be so!
Wow. He doesn't even tell her this is of the Jewish law at all. He doesn't tell her about the other Jewish tithes to keep the theocratic system going. He gets the applause of men rather than God right away.
Well you should NOT practice tithing with money.... If you really want to please God you should use animals and crops.... That's what pleased Him in the Old testament...

The other thing is about the woman who was between jobs analogy is. Where did the money come from originally! All those gullible people in the church had previously given tithes to that pastor. So in effect the pastor wasn't giving any money out of his pocket but out of everyone there. So the pastor is on a winner anyway!
Giving Tithes is a Freewill Personal Decision to Give Sacrifice. But God said to give Sacrifices only in the place God Saintified. But God also said don't give your sacrifices in every place you see. Mainly because every place of Worship is not doing what God wants done with the Tithes. Deuteronomy 12:13 “Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:” King James Version (KJV)
Pay your tithe with the understanding of gratefulness for God's provision. With this understanding you can even give more. Also the old Testament is also for us, we shouldn't choose what in the old Testament applies to us or not.
You don't have to give, but it works for me and one of my gifts is giving. God did say he would give back to you pressed down and overflowing. And it is true. After many years of giving, I am going from cleaning for little pay homes/buildings, to now having my picture on a Internatinal drug company and dealing with a Bullion dollar overseas drug company and I don't even have a college degree or High school for that matter. I will be opening a home for battered women and children as well as a supply place for churches in need. I hate seeing so many close down but that is going to take a couple more years, but I have seen it in my mind for a few years and will do it. And giving works when you do it because you want to and even if you don't. But obedience is part of it as well. You have to do it over and over till you understand it. It does not happen over-night. Certainly, we should not put anyone off giving if in their heart or God has told them to or you cut off their blessings. Your will be done Lord.

As a pastor I encourage tithing because it is a BIBLICAL STANDARD FOR GIVING TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE CHURCH. I haven’t been paid a penny in terms of salary or compensation of any kind in 16 years of ministry and I tithe a tenth. Yet the NT says that I should be paid for what I do. I don’t try to shame or use a gimmick to encourage people to give. May I remind you that Christianity has its roots in Judaism (the law). While believers are saved by grace through faith I am not convinced that the only Bible we are to subscribe to is the latter 27 and disregard the first 39 books of Holy Scripture. Giving is and always be a sensitive and divisive topic in the church today and you don’t need to give the people another reason to give less. Sign your name on a lease or mortgage document and then talk to me “brother.”
I am a 'Baptist Fetus,' in other words, I have always been in church. I used to feel that GOD didn't love or like me because I've never had a lot of money. This Pastor does not do what you are implying. You would have to follow and listen to him regularly. 🙏❤️
If you give someone in need they glorify the Lord and pray for you. If you give someone who has enough they will call it success and write books about it.
The other common verses that our church and others use is Acts 2:43-47 and Acts 4:34-35. This gets twisted as a norm for church as it is now, but like you said, there is no command for church goers to do this. They did this because they “were of one heart and soul” and were provided for as needed. We don’t have communes in churches. We aren’t starting under hardship and persecution where they would be shunned from society. We ought to give cheerfully and out of compulsion by the goodness and love of God, not by the compulsion of a guilt pushing sermon or rewording of scripture. We, as congregants, ask for the truth according to God and God’s freely gave to us who may not or don’t deserve it. This is the model of giving and the definition of the gift of grace. Some pastors only see who’s giving or not, some even by name, and hold that against them, indirectly. If your church spends more time on tithing and offerings and less time on communion and Christ, you have an issue.
Tobit 4:7-11 Give generously to anyone who faithfully obeys God.[a] If you are stingy in giving to the poor, God will be stingy in giving to you. 8 Give according to what you have. The more you have, the more you should give. Even if you have only a little, be sure to give something. 9 This is as good as money saved. You will have your reward in a time of trouble. 10-11 Taking care of the poor is the kind of offering that pleases God in heaven. Do this, and you will be kept safe from the dark world of the dead.
@@VW-pb8ge There is a catholic version, but there are also versions in it's original versions, The catholic church are the ones that hid these other books anyway.
Malachi 3:8-12 is directly from God and also tells how He will rebuke the devour off you so that you will be able to walk in security. He multiplies back anything you give. In other words, you get back more than you give. It’s not mandatory but it will affect your finances. Prevents struggling. In addition, you have favor in life. I walked it 20 years and I know it works. Homeowner, no mortgage.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Mathew 7:22,23.
I actually teach that we now give under grace. When a person understands Grace Giving it’s not uncommon at all that they cheerfully give far more than 10%. We see Grace Giving in 2 Cor. chapters 8-9.
Most people haven't studied the the Torah, so they don't know the law or it's purpose. Moses revealed what God wanted Israel to know, which was to make them holy and blessed in the land of Canaan. Paul revealed the law was was a schoolmaster to keep them and lead them to Christ. The only thing concerning the law that can apply today is whatever's left of the promises and prophesies to Israel. Salvation has been given to the Jew and Gentile, and the end is revealed in Revelation. Other than that, all we need to live until then is in the NT writings. We can learn some good lessons from the OT, but nothing in it can justify us or save us.
Glad you brought this up. This is not how God works. I've seen people that tithed and got nothing in return except further in debt and missed bills.
I “gave” off my credit card once 😅… wish I would fall in that line of ignorance again
This the one!

(Acts 5:1-11)
Also, Pastors are not to become millionaires off of church funds. (1 Corinthians 10:24)
Church leaders have a duty to make sure their congregants are taken care of. They are not to rob the poor and become rich off the ministry.

Bad doctrine and good works can coexist. However, tithing was for the nation of Israel. There is not one biblical reference for a Christian to tithe. Giving yes, tithing no. If you want to call giving a tithe if your paycheck a tithe, ok (not biblical).

But before the foundation of the world, God created his church to be in humankind, flesh and blood, Matthew 16:18;
that's how it was for the prophets of old.

5, I have not dwelt, remained, lived, in a building since I brought up Israel (from the house of bondage or slavery) unto this day.
In this, God helped me to understand where his church was, because he made me study, and forget not what he hath told me.
But to Go out into all the world and teach all nations or people, Matthew 28:19-20;

smh...how awful!
That’s pitiful!
I remember when my former pastor mentioned how much he paid for tithes and then pull out the stat sheets for the number of members who are paying tithes every Sunday. What’s interesting is that John Howard was his favorite pastor. So glad I left that church.
My brother or sister, I think you should leave all buildings called a church:
Because for 1, God in JesusChrist build his church upon flesh and blood, humankind, Matthew 16:18;
And 2, God, Almighty God told us in 1 Chronicles 17:5, I have not dwelt, remained, or lived, in a house, temple, building, or church, since I brought up Israel (from the house of bondage, or slavery) unto this day;
3, Satan said in his heart in Isaiah 14:12-14, I will acsend into heaven (it's 3 heavens, not where Almighty God is, Satan and his angels can not go back; had to make clear), or go up to heaven, I will exalt(or lift up) my throne above the stars of God (angels or actual stars, I can't tell, but God knows)......
Who is John Howard?
@@rayj.9568 My correction his name is Dr. Howard John Wesley. He’s the guy in the video
@@GraceMinisterKev Thank you for responding.
@@rayj.9568 no prob!
Obedience before sacrifice
For those that want to sheppard and lead….that is a great question you asked. How do we get others to fall in love with the word
So, you dislike the example he used. It was an easy example to follow. @ God use people to bless others out of their hearts.
And the irony also is that by exploiting this woman's situation, and making a public spectacle of it to make his point about tithing, he's actually disobeying the Lord other commandment about not giving charity to be seen before men:
"[1] Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them.
Was Abraham a Jew? How about Job? They both tithed.
It's good that I'm not the only one who think that tithing should be out of love not out of under pressure
Well you should NOT practice tithing with money.... If you really want to please God you should use animals and crops.... That's what pleased Him in the Old testament...
@@tiwanstrong1413 let me ask you something. Do you really believe that nonsense you just wrote?
@@BrettL250 and let me ask you did you understand what rhetoric was in high school or middle school or elementary School??? Oh I didn't think so either 😕😕😕
How about no tithing at all. Give sacrificial as God has blessed you. Free will offerings is New Testament giving.
@@anonymousreview1049 I agree
Amen Brother. I always thought the same. 👏
Deuteronomy 12:13
“Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:”
King James Version (KJV)
Thank you Corey.
A cool gimmick and one blessed lady.
I hope they have funds set aside to assist those in dire need just like the churches of old.
Pay your tithe with the understanding of gratefulness for God's provision. With this understanding you can even give more. Also the old Testament is also for us, we shouldn't choose what in the old Testament applies to us or not.
I haven't paid tithes in years nor am I going to be pressured to do so..
Message approved Corey 👏👏👏
ALL OF THIS!!!!!!!! So so so good
Nothing to see here. Absolutely brilliant presentation on the blessing of giving.. AND he blessed her in the process
Always great video's Cory really appreciate all your hard work learn so much from you.
Amen, share the love of the word❤❤🙏
Giving and Tithing are not the same. Giving is voluntary and tithing was commanded by the Lord for the nation of Israel.
My mom is 85 and she stopped going to church before I was born. She said the pastor mentioned he didn’t want to hear any change in the collection plate and she was done with church and pastors. It took me 45 years to become a christian and these folks make me sick to my stomach.
I believe we should be giving our 10th. We should be tithing. Don’t let the foolishness keep you from giving what God told us to give.💯
You believe it why? Scriptures please, thanks.
If you do things for the kingdom of God desiring the wealth of this world you are of the world.
Great job thanks 🙏👍👍
God gives us life. God makes our hearts beat. God died on a cross for us. What more do you want from Him? Do you follow Him for Him, or what you can get??
Check your heart posture.
Joshua 22:5
Great Great reiterated message. I've experienced so called prosperity teachings few years ago and the Kenneth Hagan Affect wasn't convincing.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer 29:11 (NIV). There is no mention of tithing.
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV). Note, you always hear false prophets quoting verse 6 "cough cough...Pastor Winston Cuffie - Miracle Ministries, cough cough" but they will never quote verses 7-8
The Swaggarts are always doing their "Share-a-thon" events, or whatever they call it. Seems like they do it at least twice a month. A friend of mine was at the Jimmy Swaggart Bible college in Baton Rouge, LA several years ago, and they told me that a large chunk of money was spent renovating the *_parking lot_* at Jimmy Swaggart's church.
The adoption of tithing in the Church only serves to build the personal kingdoms and wealth of various ministers.
It took a very long time to realize that I did not have to pay GOD to Bless Me. I am 68 years old now, start realizing more and more, that GOD didn't love me any less because of my income. This Pastor does not do what you are implying. You would have to follow and listen to him regularly. 🙏❤️
All that I have is not mine but I am the steward of everything God has given me. Your life is not your own neither is your money.
If you give someone in need they glorify the Lord and pray for you. If you give someone who has enough they will call it success and write books about it.
Most wealthy people give 10% in donations. It's in their portfolios
Amen! ❤
My favorite tithe hustle is : "Just give according to your faith" which means "You'll give us lots of money if you *truly* are Godly"
Tobit 4:7-11
Give generously to anyone who faithfully obeys God.[a] If you are stingy in giving to the poor, God will be stingy in giving to you.
Is Tobit not an apocryphal book in the Catholic Vulgate Bible? Just asking.
This is horrible manipulation, I couldn’t have been either her father or a significant other. We would’ve returned all the money, and left that place.
