    Hi Mark. I was hoping you might have some intel on the changes that seem to have occured in solar web since about November 2021? It seems to have totally changed - do you know if there is a way to return it to how it used to be (like in your video)? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for the great video.

    I have a Fronius inverter and smart meter. I also have Tigo optimisers with the CCA.
    The Tigo CCA records production through modbus tcp. Is it possible to also record usage on Tigo cca with the smart meter modbus

    Hi,
    I'm in the process of getting a solar system hooked up and was just wondering if Fronius' premium plan is still available for free?
    TIA

    Hi Mark. I recently bought a used Primo Lite 3.6-1. A local installer set up my system with 8 x 400Watt panels.. Took me a longtime to get it configured but finally I managed it. I fitted a new Datamanager card and a new Smart meter TS100. all is well and I can see some data on solar web app. When I try to register the Primo I get a message saying product already registered. This may be because I had several attempts at it. What I'm trying to find out is how much (if any) warranty is remaining and can I have it extended. Great videos by the way. Cheers. George

      Hi George, it's really a question for Fronius. You should be able to increase your warranty if it is still covered by warranty. I'd try calling Fronius.

    Great informative video specifically for someone deciding to get Fronius inverter with the smart meter or not!
    Will you be able to access this information on a mobile app or on solarweb site?
    Also the Premium is still a Free upgrade? Thanks

      Yes, I recently got one and can access the charts etc. on my mobile phone - Solar web pro android app and on the browser.

    Can you add your daily metering charges in the tariff setup somehow? This would give a more accurate ROI figure and also mirror your actual bill closer.

    • @mcelectrical
      @mcelectrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Damussco. No, i donut think that's possible unfortunately.

    Recently purchased a Fronius totaling 21kw. 1 * 15 kw above the roof and 1 * 6.6 kw above the garage roof. I noticed in analysis that the 6.6 kw system is at optimal 100% on a clear day, however with the 15kw system optimal is only around 85 to 89% on a clear day. Reaching a maximum of 18.5kw of production
    I understood that i purchased a 21kw system and that on a clear sunny day that both systems would be operating at 100%. However when I questioned why this isn't the case, I was told that the reason is, we don't have enough roof space for additional 13 panels.
    The annual production is stated to be around 42,062kw. For some reason I'm feeling cheated of almost 2kw. Not sure if i have a point or not, any advice would be great. I live in Brisbane upper Coomera area.

      It depends on a number of factors - Is the 21kw the total inverter capacity, or the panel capacity? Panels only operate at their rated efficiency, minus other factors (angle of roof, shading etc...).
      If the panels are on different roof slopes, then all the panels won't be running 100% the entire time. North facing is best, but unless you have a massive home , I doubt you have 15kw+ of panels on a North facing roof!

      @@fademan7715KW + 42 panels, facing north on roof, which was max I could fit, needed more panels, I now understand why I was not achieving max output . And 6.6KW of 18 panels on top of garage.

    Hi @mc electricals . i purchased fronius primo 5 for 6.6kw but i just have the smart meter installed by Power cor not the fronius smart meter. How to get the fronius smart meter d how much it cost?

    • @fademan77
      @fademan77 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Power Co smart meter is the actual meter for the grid. The Smart Meter is a small DIN that goes into your switchboad.
      Its around $500 to supply & install.

    I Have a fronius symo 10.0.3 with 13.2kw worth of panels (40 panels on the roof). what number should be input on the inverter set wizard?
    With my solar power production graphs they are all clipped to 10kw of power production the bell curve is cut flat at 10kw .... is this set up wrong in the wizzard set up?
    Thanks

    • @mcelectrical
      @mcelectrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Marcus, The Fronius 10kW inverter will clip (or max out) at 10kW. You can't change this in any setting.

    I am with Origin and you get 12 cents FIT for the first 14KWH and then goes back to 5 cents FIT. Is there anyway to set up the Fronius software for this?

    • @mcelectrical
      @mcelectrical  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately not. That would be a handy feature though.

    I'm trying to configure this, and nowhere is there any explanation in the Tariffs section what "Reference" and "Feed-In" actually mean. Which one do I put the power company's solar buy-back rate?

    • @mcelectrical
      @mcelectrical  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jonathan, “feed in” = buy back.

    Hi, Are you saying that if we don't have a fronius smart meter but just have a regular smart meter that the electrical company will be putting in then we will not be able to measure on what amount of energy is going into the house and what amount is going into the grid ?

    • @mcelectrical
      @mcelectrical  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ankuj, The electrical company will be able to read it and bill you, but that information won't display on your monitoring platform. So you won't have the detailed historical information.

    Do you think it’s fair to ask for money for a “product” that all the others inverters give for free? And this one is absolutely not cheap.. I’m thinking about changing inverter, I don’t wanna pay for my informations that other gives for free…

    • @mcelectrical
      @mcelectrical  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HonDosso. Fronius’s free monitoring is better than any other monitoring I’ve seen. You can pay to get a few extra features, but it really isn’t necessary. The free fromius monitoring is great as it is.
