I really appreciate you donating this to a good cause. As a veteran myself, I love seeing family's of those injured or killed in the line of duty receive so.e help to make their lives easier.
Been custom carving my first guitar body for like a month, and watching you do innovative designs inspires me to make more! Keep making cool guitars and so will I.
Dude… you have become my favourite guitar build channel. I love that fact that you are completely self taught. (Isn’t the internet wonderful?!!) Dry humour, self depreciating comments, and sheer honestly with your mistakes(?) (No!learning moments.) Love the design, the cause and the coolest of small details. Good luck with the wiring issue. You’ll get that sorted. Would love to hear it. Awesome design,
Been playing guitar since my early teens, now 52, have always wanted a custom 1 off guitar, these by far are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Keep up the gorgeous work sir.
I love your honesty, humility, willing to admit you've never used burl before because it makes you that much more authentic. I've only assembled basses with off the shelf parts, never made one from scratch, so you have "it". I look forward to seeing the finished product. EDIT : I bet you REALLY understand how to make a great neck now ! Also, I love using threaded inserts. The finished product is stunning. I love the Hippie Sandwich look.
Beautiful guitar. I'm not much of a woodworker myself but after watching some of your videos i'm considering purchasing one of your templates to give it a go. The designs are gorgeous and it looks like a lot of fun. Thanks again. I've subscribed to your channel and will definitely be keeping an eye on it!
One day I will make an entire guitar from scratch as you are doing in these videos, but for now I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of making parts-casters. Thanks for your encouragement!
Very impressive. I am just starting my journey in guitar building, and discovering your channel has helped me a lot. You're very good with your explanations , and the videos are very easy to follow and very informative. Please keep the great content coming.
I am very glad I found your channel. Been thinking about starting a guitar kit, to then eventually work my way to an actual full guitar build. Lover everything about your channel so far man.. Thank you
The compliments are appreciated! Skip the kit and go straight to a build 🤘🏼 you’ll learn more that way. At least do lol I make so many mistakes and each one is a lesson !

Very nice build, resembles a Relish guitar body. I recently acquired some wood to do my own guitar, but I also need to utilize tools from people near by. Good for you for donating the proceeds. 😊
Woiw, what a beautiful build! I am a guitar player (jazz) and not a woodworker nor guitar builder but, I am truly impressed on how you built this guitar and the look of the finished job. As a veteran of both the military and the army civilan service, I appreciate adding the coin and making it visible that is crazy cool! I simply had to subscribe, you do great work!
Thanks for keeping me up watching your videos for hours. My musician friend has been pressuring me to take on a guitar build for him. After watching your vids, I’m all in! Going to start this coming weekend. Wish me luck!!!
This one is really cool too. And I can totally relate to the wiring issue. I finished a Les Paul copy with bourbon barrel top and oak body a few weeks ago. The only way I could get the bridge pickup to work was to finally replace it!
Yeah sometime parts are faulty, I’m just replacing the whole setup for something more appealing to the eye. Luckily pickups are more affordable these days, for the most part

From one luthier to another, excellent job bro! Watching through this vid made me realize I have no original thoughts while building cause you said everything I was thinking right after I thought it lol Absolutely loved the ecplise inlays, I am 100% gonna try that on my next build
Beautiful burl guitar. You did a great job. I do like contrasting metallic colors like deep blue and yellow or crimson and green for epoxy resin and wood guitars. Rainbow, not so much. Black does go well with wood, but I like color as well. I like the shape of the guitar as well. Good job!

Working my was back through your videos and there’s already another give away. Probably too late for this one but a great idea to help people like myself who want to build guitars, or a guitar at least, but have a long way to go and lots of jigs and templates to build just to get started. It seems i am on a similar path you the one you’ve been on, learning as much as possible on YT and Google. Thanks again for a great and well edited video.
Nicely executed, and most likely either neck would have looked just fine. Amazing bit of wood for the top, and the finish lets it stand out front and center.
Awesome! The template winner was just announced in the comments yesterday. Don’t worry though, I will be giving more away in some of the coming videos! 🤘🏼 I’ll probably do around 4 to 6 template giveaways a year.
Simply amazing! One tip I would like to offer you is to show some slower panning shots at the end to let us see the beauty of your work. Also, the end cards covered up the beauty shots at the end. But your work is outstanding.
Subbed! A 12" jointer planer combo is a nice compromise for those of us that can't fit a 16" battleship in our shops. A low angle jack with a toothed blade (worlds different than your old stanley) makes pretty quick work of the odd flattening project that won't fit on the 12" jointer, and is too rough for the 16" drum sander. There is always a way! Also, a second bandsaw set up with a 1/8" blade is the great alternative to a jigsaw.
A beautiful job with a great choice of woods. I recommend sorting the bearings in your bench drill as the chuck is not running true ( an easy fix ) and get yourself a 1/4" (6mm) 10 tpi skip tooth bandsaw blade and you will be able to cut out a whole body with one pass, instead of taking all those bites at it. Great job and excellent video, keep up the good work !!!
I definitely need to update my drill press forsure. I purposely do no use a small blade because I hate change blades out on the bandsaw. I keep a resaw king on it because my main use for the bandsaw is resawing and ripping. Also, thanks for the compliments!
This is a really cool looking guitar. I've been toying with trying to make my first guitar, but always been afraid of doing it. Might actually make it the next project and try to do it with the limited tools I have.
I definitely recommend giving it a try. There are many people who make guitars with only hand tools. Maybe you’ll even create a more efficient process!
Traditional drum makers in India throw the log into a water well and leave it there for a year before pulling it out, drying it up completely, and then carving up the wood. I think I read somewhere that the Stradivari violins also went through something similar. I wonder if you'd like to try that someday?
if you use plastic binding it is a lot easier and cleaner. you attach the binding by wicking acetone between the wood and bind. it melts the binding into the wood and the only clean up is waiting for the acetone to dry. then you can usea razor to scrape the binding to size.
This turned out incredible man! Just recently found your channel and it's really making me want to dust off my very amateur woodworking skills and try my hand at a guitar haha!

Great build and always good to see mistakes happen, we are all human and it helps us all learn. So many builders love to use long drill bits. This always makes me nervous. @@TheWoodenHobbyist I'm only on my fifth and sixth build- defo a garage woodworker. @@TheWoodenHobbyist pls consider building an original design of a bass guitar on ur next built, n if im worthy enough for that bass guitar i'll b donating it away to a good friend who is a sessionist, but is in a downward rollercoster ride of his life
I’ll be doing a bass guitar soon! I plan on having a custom bass done in December or January. Got quite a few different builds in the works right now 🤘🏼

Nice work, wish I had the tools and the time to make something like this.
Took a lot of time to gather the tools, but the tools made it less time to make. 1000 ways to skin a cat, I’m sure you could do it with different tools!
I think this was actually a very cool way of book matching a piece of burl like that
Much agreed, thanks!

Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching 🤘🏼🤘🏼
What a beautiful guitar!
Great job!
I’m a professional musician and amateur (very amateur) woodworker.
Are you going to do a video of it being played?
Thanks! I post stuff afterwards on IG. I absolutely will before the charity in February
Awesome job!
Thanks a lot!
