Up until 31 minutes ago I was feeling pretty good about my woodworking abilities, But now, FORGET IT! LOL Can you please consider us mere mortals and stop having us consider taking our own lives. LOLOLOL! I think in order to keep my honor, I take my life In the Japanese way....Sepuku! ROFLMAO!! Again my friend, thank you for sharing you"re brilliant, creative functional art. As I was enjoying this build, the word that kept coming up was WOW!
hey my friend, what about having the "Live Edge" look on the legs of one of your deigns? And no, I don't know how it would be done but , give it a try? Just a thought.
As a professional film maker and a hobbyist woodworker I would have thought you had a background in video production. Your woodworking is truly inspiring, but it’s the quality of your videos that keeps me coming back to your channel. Thanks for all the great content.
Your photo of the underside of your desk says a lot. I’ve been to many shows featuring “fine” furniture over more decades than I care to remember. I’m “that guy”that gets down on the floor and looks up to see what’s “inside”. Its mostly to get ideas “for how things were done”. It’s amazing how much different the fit and finish of what shows versus what’s hidden that there is in many “fine” pieces. I appreciate the care you took with the work shown in that shot.
Thanks for letting me send my audition tape in! My agent says this could be my big break...although, I think he was referring to Shopcat Jerry 😜. Seriously mate, another incredible piece of furniture that is full of creative design, intention, form and function.
You're the one woodworker I always watch your new videos on my TV because they deserve to be seen on my giant, beautiful OLED. I'm always blown away by your beautiful work mate, it's remarkable and while I do woodwork myself, I can't even comprehend your talent, it leaves me speechless. Thanks for sharing, wish I could be part of the patreon, I'd love to see all your other amazing videos. Thanks for continuing to raise the bar in the woodworking world. ❤
Wow, you blow my mind! You’re a brilliant designer and maker. I get very excited every time you post a video and never want them to end. Best woodworker on TH-cam.
I make stuff, I just started recording videos in my small workshop and I realized how difficult it is to shoot videos and do something. So thank you for your work.
The beauty and grace of form brought a tear to my eye. Kinda like watching a master performance of a piano concerto; not many ever possess the drive and talent to do it right. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 Bravo
...but isn't it awesome to see just what might be possible if you had 30 years to devote to that one thing? Or at least inspiring enough to get you to learn something that's new to you?
I don't make stuff for TH-cam. But I always like to do something around the house. A few months ago I saw your workbench video and it inspired me to make my own furniture for the house. since then, 2 chests of drawers and a bed for my daughter are in the process. you are an incredible master!!!
Gorgeous work as always. I've been a woodworker for over 25 years, and every time I watch a video of yours, I feel inspired to up my game. Your videos are always so warm and comforting. I love to watch them with a sip of brandy and a good cigar. You are a true gentleman, an artist, and an incredible woodworker. ✌🍻🥃
I MAKE STUFF!! you are an inspiration &I respect your skills&mixture of art with craftsmanship. I have educational videos as well as builds being a 3rd generation arborist for over 30years ,owned a sawmill for a few years&have been building furniture for some time now(part time for many yrs but have been focusing more as u get older) thank you for sharing wisdom&art with all of us. -Chris
I make stuff, just not for TH-cam. Beautiful work. The leg design sort of reminds me of an antler. Very organic and stunning. Love your passion for creating unique pieces
That’s one heck of a sculpt for such a nimble looking structure. 13:09 is a great message to keep an open mind, also there is something to learn in every field that you can apply to yours.
2:40 for those new to design, don’t mistake room specific applications as a limitation. This is actually a huge advantage in design because now you can focus the appearance of your elements to look amazing from a fewer viewpoints. As wood workers, we are subconsciously Accustom to designing our work to be viewed from all sides and any angle - which is the real limitation
I'm 20 now and I've been learning about furniture making since I was 16. Whenever I watch your videos and learn new techniques, I feel like I haven't learned a single lesson in those 4 years. And the way you talk gives a different energy to go deeper into the woodwork. Hoping to learn more from you
That’s really really awesome 👏🏻 It’s kind of a sculpture about the life cycle of wood. Looking from the sculptured side it’s got an organic flow of a tree growing out the ground and morphing into a desk. Looking forward to the next project 👍🏻
I am absolutely mesmerized by how your mind works with these extraordinary pieces of furniture. I could seriously watch your videos over and over again and still learn more at every step! Thank You for your hard work and dedication to your craft and also allowing us to see inside your world of furniture!!! Mike!
Сколько стоит орех. ?Никогда не видела что бы продавали его древесину. Теперь понятна откуда такая фактура. Интересно на нем вырезают или он твердый как дуб?
Great work, and as for "some peoplr wont like how I do this" as a fabricator I see perfect sense in using the grinder / sander / carver to sort the shape out
I love your work, it’s always so beautiful. I really appreciate that you are continuing to make client projects and are producing your videos around those projects. A lot of TH-cam makers stop doing commissioned projects and become “content creators” while making things for themselves which I feel takes away from the final project because when we make something for ourselves we are willing to accept something that is less than what it might have been. There are three levels of craftsmanship, in my view, the lowest being what we make for ourselves, the second being a commissioned piece, and the ultimate (but most rare) is something we build as an unexpected gift for a loved one. (Your new bench was made for a loved one; yourself, your shop and your craft.) Thank you for continuing to make things on commission and striving for art and beauty.
Many wish they could knock-out their work on a inspirational desk like yours. The precision geometry produces the flowing symmetry that is no accident. I am equally impressed with the simplicity of the tabletop jointery at 29:50. A threaded insert in a domino and a screw. I will also employ your plate glass alignment technique for critical glue-ups. Thank you for sharing and expanding your woodworking knowledge.
Great video Nick! I love your attention to detail. It really shows when you're attaching the top using wooden clips that are perfectly made even though they will never been seen.

This marriage of utility and art, presentation of process, and exquisite video editing is why I keep coming back and then sharing your videos. Hello. I am Jam from Malaysia. I have built a bench after I got inspired from your videos. I am 67, retired and a lady. My family was shocked and at the same time proud that I could do such a bench. I have accumulated some tools too. I hope to build a workshop in my garden soon.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and "lessons learned". I am a hobbyist and find myself trying all sorts of different techniques and styles. You have provided me some insights into the "can do" mindset to create new pieces of furniture and objects d'art. Thank you.
Just found your channel not too long ago, and I have to say, you're an absolutely talented individual and a pleasure to watch. Keep doing what you're doing, sky is the limit. 👏
Nick!!! These are the types of videos that get me absolutely fired up to get back in the shop and create something unique. Thank you for sharing your incredible work!!!
Beautiful ❤❤❤I don’t do furniture but absolutely love looking at beautiful wood furniture. I do miss that sometimes the old fashion furniture designs aren’t in fashion as all that carving is truly an art of work. The simple design you have shown just truly shows how beautiful wood is. Thank you for sharing this and showing how much skill is involved in knowing all the tricks of the trade it takes to be able to accomplish this beautiful piece of work. Keep up the beautiful work.
Nick, not only are you amazing at what you do. Your also a massive inspiration for other woodworkers as well. Love what you do, love how you go about it. So talented yet so humble. Cheers mate!
even though i am now retired i really enjoy seeing a fellow craftsman produce something of this quality. don't worry about the hate on domino's, when its a case of how much bread can you put on your families table, then the quickest way is often the best. i spent many years as a one man shop doing commission only pieces. the thought of doing production work scared the pants of me as far as boredom went.
I once did an order for 400 complete bedroom sets for a lodge, as an amateur during normal times, that was a very stressful project. I will do it again for the financial benefits but that might cause a person to loose the love for woodworking.
Every projects I have had the opportunity to watch, makes me happy to witness such skills, well done, interesting and so much for me to learn it is a bit late at my age but it is great to see that a young generation doing such artistic work.
Fantastic craftsman. I was in Sydney a few weeks ago and almost stopped by your studio to see what you had cooking. You give so much calculated inspiration for me and my projects!
Your wood working is amazing. I have no intention on even attempting to make something similar to your work. Some of it isn’t my taste. But watching your videos are relaxing and just intriguing. Great work … ty sir.
Your furniture is the definition of artwork. I like to think that art is nothing without the work behind it. Your videos do a great job of giving us a glimpse of the work you put into it.
the craftsmanship is impressive. I remember doing wood work when I was at university for a film project. We needed those Japanese traditional sliding doors. And the problem solving was really fun. As we had no money, I remember looking at the bin full of scrap wood and having my piece made out of so many different wood pieces.
Not knowing how to make it is the fun part, it engages the brain in a creative way. You are so right to jump on challenging commissions like this. These jobs are few and far between, I love doing this type of work over normal joinery every time. Great job. p.s. I am super envious of your panel saw.
The youtube algorithm just suggested this channel, no idea how i went so long without coming across it. There's wood working and then there is this, your work is just art.
This has been sitting in my "Watch Later" for a few weeks, and I'm very glad I waited until I had time to watch it all in one go and appreciate it fully. Gorgeous work, thank you for sharing it.
I make stuff. Currently it is mostly building out my shop. No videos from TH-cam yet, but a few pics and reels on Instagram. Videos like this one gives me so much inspiration to learn this craft.
As a life long surfer, I love the flow and curves of your designs…I see the lines I want to be in. Your a an amazing craftsman and one of the best furniture designers I’ve ever seen.
I make stuff. 🥰Wow, fabulous work as always. You have miles of experience and your workshop is the stuff of dreams! Yes, I make stuff & have a teeny channel. Thanks for paying it forward & being so supportive!
This project is just hard to fathom for this novice, although many professionals will likely agree. The warm curves are the most visually satisfying and the most tactilly inviting piece I've ever seen.
Hi Nick, Beautiful as always. When the video started and you said that the bends would be difficult, I immediately thought of boat builders who by having the luxury of working with green wood including root buttresses and branches can almost always find the shape they need in nature. The trade off is that it’s rare to get everything from a single tree but because color matching is not a problem, they manage to make some fantastic bent structural elements of their boats. Wouldn’t be nice to have a whole tree milled and dried, branches and all, to see what one could make? Probably never happen, but one can dream. Anyway, a most enjoyable build. I’m awaiting the next one impatiently. Cheers, Keith
Love the channel call out Nick. Such a wonderfully worded promotion for every channel out there that is making, Large and small. PS only half way through and am mesmerised by the narration and pace of the video. You have a real talent for the video side as well as the obvious, building skills. Thank you.
I make stuff and a lot of the video elements I try to capture are inspired by your vids. You’ve always got the lighting and finishing sequence spot on. You’ve got the best woodworking content hands down
I make stuff…as one of your Patrons I really appreciate how you have supported other makers and using your audience to share their work. I have a few build videos posted and more in the works that I’m hoping to get posted soon. I feel like the video work is the hardest part. Cheers!
I love good design - that‘s why I look forward every new video you release. The dynamic lines you create are mindblowing. You are a true master of your craft . Thank you for sharing your art. I am no maker but an enthusiast. Nene
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. Your thought process and design are beyond words. I look forward to every update from such a skilled artist.
All I can say is... WOW! You smashed this unique artistic peice of furniture right out of the ball park my friend. As a retired Antique Chair maker of 33yrs (self employed) brings back for me wonderful joy in building something out of nothing and to be proud of. You managed every aspect of the craft and skill set to create what I call a real "MASTERPIECE"... Thanks for sharing this video!!!
This looks amazing! As someone who has large and old walnut trees in the garden, I would probably have looked for a branch that fits the bend and cut it from the tree. PS: I do make stuff, but I don't do videos about it. I am mostly dabbling but not seriously working through, creating one-of-a-kind stuff and then doing something entirely else. I do stone work, 3D printing, macramé, and currently are building a guitar case for my son's electric guitar out of construction foam and a cheap guitar bag.
Hello Nick! I make stuff. I make: renderings, plans and head the job site when renovating or constructing new homes; I take care of everything from lighting to plumbing fixtures, Choose finishes, draw the millwork plans and elevations, sometimes even for furniture. In my spare time, I like to give old wood new life... repurpose old pieces ... I'm an interior designer by trade..... But I think I am a woodworker at heart. Thank you for your videos and for the time spent on keeping your channel well updated. It has brought me a lot of joy to watch you work and try and follow your thought process as best I could - I am nowhere near your level of execution! .Keep them coming! Cheers!
I make stuff! I am 15 and have a woodturning and woodworking channel. At the moment I only really make small projects due to cost and having a small workshop. I would like to pursue a career in furniture making. I love this channel! I really like your roubo workbench. Edmund

Hello. I am Jam from Malaysia. I have built a bench after I got inspired from your videos. I am 67, retired and a lady. My family was shocked and at the same time proud that I could do such a bench. I have accumulated some tools too. I hope to build a workshop in my garden soon.
What can i say? Your work is on another level of woodworking. It's not just woodworking, it is an art. Hats off to you, Master.
Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and "lessons learned". I am a hobbyist and find myself trying all sorts of different techniques and styles. You have provided me some insights into the "can do" mindset to create new pieces of furniture and objects d'art. Thank you.
Your reveal outro was outstanding. You remain the best YT woodworker IMO as your story telling & video production stands above the rest.
Thank you
I really like the combination of artistry (exceptional), outlook, and commentary that comes with your videos
That is indeed a beautiful piece of art!!! Love the overall design and how the sculpted leg flows... An eye candy
Great to hear!
Hands down my favourite woodworking channel on TH-cam, great content.
Thanks so much
even though i am now retired i really enjoy seeing a fellow craftsman produce something of this quality. don't worry about the hate on domino's, when its a case of how much bread can you put on your families table, then the quickest way is often the best. i spent many years as a one man shop doing commission only pieces. the thought of doing production work scared the pants of me as far as boredom went.
The dowel trick was genius. Your craft is truly inspiring
Oh boy, that's gorgeous. BIG thanks for your generosity to see how you do it...
It's a delight to watch a master craftsman work. It also inspires me to aim high in the quality of my work in my own respective field.
Idk y but watching these kinds of vids late at night just hits different.
Thank you
Another great design nick looks awesome! Nice job the leg curves look like they grew that way@
I make stuff. 🥰Wow, fabulous work as always. You have miles of experience and your workshop is the stuff of dreams! Yes, I make stuff & have a teeny channel. Thanks for paying it forward & being so supportive!
Stunning design and truly a one-of-a-kind desk. Your videos are true art
That's an amazing desk. I can truly appreciate the time it took to think about how to even begin something this complex. Well done, sir.
This project is just hard to fathom for this novice, although many professionals will likely agree.
The warm curves are the most visually satisfying and the most tactilly inviting piece I've ever seen.
Hi Nick,
Beautiful as always.
Cheers,
Keith
I have been a subscriber for some time now and appreciate that you have come out from behind the mask and are using your voice, good job mate.
Nick you never cease to amaze. I know your clients are over the moon happy and honored at the same time to have one of your pieces
Thank you
What a wonderful idea about the leg that stretch out.
This is creative art that is functional at the same time.
Love the channel call out Nick. Such a wonderfully worded promotion for every channel out there that is making, Large and small. PS only half way through and am mesmerised by the narration and pace of the video. You have a real talent for the video side as well as the obvious, building skills. Thank you.
Thanks so much
I make stuff and a lot of the video elements I try to capture are inspired by your vids. You’ve always got the lighting and finishing sequence spot on. You’ve got the best woodworking content hands down
Just outstanding! The wood The presentation and most of all, the craftsmanship.
I make stuff…as one of your Patrons I really appreciate how you have supported other makers and using your audience to share their work. I have a few build videos posted and more in the works that I’m hoping to get posted soon. I feel like the video work is the hardest part. Cheers!
Your TV Console is great! Well done!
Thank you! I didn’t say it before but great video and beautiful piece as well.
Beautiful desk. Thanks for sharing your process!
I love good design - that‘s why I look forward every new video you release. The dynamic lines you create are mindblowing. You are a true master of your craft . Thank you for sharing your art. I am no maker but an enthusiast. Nene
The beauty and the flow of that desk perfect.
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. Your thought process and design are beyond words. I look forward to every update from such a skilled artist.
Thank you
All I can say is...
Cheers!
Young man, I love your work. No epoxy waterfalls or rivers, just beautiful, unique pieces of wooden art!
Thank you
Yes, I am so sick of epoxy this epoxy that.
Yes this is a sculpture and you are actually an artist. Hats off!
The best days are when Pedulla posts 👌🏼
Thanks
The result speaks for itself. Whatever the path or tools. It's beautiful.
This Masterpiece of you created is above excellent. You are in my eyes a Master of this Art. Thank you for sharing your sculptures.
I make stuff! I am 15 and have a woodturning and woodworking channel. At the moment I only really make small projects due to cost and having a small workshop. I would like to pursue a career in furniture making. I love this channel! I really like your roubo workbench. Edmund
Great work Edmund!
Sublime! I am always amazed by the originality, technicality and quality of realization of your creations. What you do is purely beautiful and very inspiring! 🇫🇷
Thank you
