After putting this job on the "back burner" since the summer, I finally got around to taking care of this with the replacement element I ordered from Amazon. Mine was the small back right burner so I had to slightly modify the procedure. The tips on noting the exact positions of the wires and the clips really helped as I may have rushed this and been stuck with the replacement. Thanks for very clear instructions Steve.

And be careful not to drop a screw down the side like I did today. Luckily I found another one that fit. It is difficult and takes a long time but this guy makes it look easy.

I got stuck a couple of times with the wires not coming off easily and one of the clips getting stuck but I to a short break and a deep breath and tried again. I too was really paranoid about those screws dropping down into infinity so I took it real slow!

Thanks for this video. The terminal block on my old element was a bit different than the new one but I was able to figure out where all the wires go.

Wow! This makes me want to go back to a coil stove, where you just slip it out and slip it back in.

Really useful, although more of a closeup on the retention tabs would have been helpful. Viewers should note that if you're replacing one of the rear burners, there is less wiring to play with, you can't move the element very far after removing it from the bar.

.Do you have any videos on fixing the electronic board which of course controls my gas oven…I bought a new electronic board and it worked for a day and then stopped working so 8 figure there must be another short in a wire somewhere else… any ideas? I hate to throw it away it’s a nice stainless steel gas range with a griddle that can be used. Please let me know, okay?

I found a used element on Ebay. In the picture provided in the ad, I can see a few hairline cracks in the gray ceramic tray. is this safe to use?

My brackets go from front to back and not from left to right.
This makes it very difficult if not impossible to remove the bracket being that the screw that holds the bracket in place is at the rear.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
