I know this won’t be a popular opinion, but I’d rather have the heritage Softail. More comfortable on longer rides and the engine performance isn’t that different. If I want fast I’ll add a slammed, stretched and turbo’d busa and actually have a fast bike. Haha
@@glockster19 sure I wish they were cheaper, but when you look at other bikes within their class they’re not priced that differently. Plus - purchase price is only half the equation. Haley’s hold their value far better than any of their competitors.

I got my 2021 Heritage Classic 114 from a Harley dealership and got a great deal..it only had 2200 miles on it and I got for 4000 cheaper than other dealership asking prices...
I went with the 2022 Heritage a couple of months ago. It is a beautiful and responsive bike, in every way. Being 69, this is my forever bike that can do some light touring and around town cruising. I'm happy. I've own every kind of Harley there is and a lot of Japanese bikes and this bike impressed me to no end. I also own a 2018 Iron 1200, and an MT07 for a little carving work. I also own a Triumph hard tail chopper that I built 35 years ago. I've been around motorcycles my whole life and wont die without one.
I was waiting for a ST for weeks and could not locate one that wasn’t spoken for. One day I sat on a 23 Heritage in the showroom and that was it. I stepped down from riding a RKS because I wanted something a little lighter and more agile. This was it! Great video by the way. 👏🏼
Heritage wins by a mile except for being 2.3 ms slower in a drag race and holding one hotdog less in the saddlebags. And best of all, it has contrast so it can be seen as something other than a black blob from across the street. Extra luggage capacity can easily and cheaply be added to the Heritage. Passenger needs a backrest anyway. Just add the luggage rack and you can take an extra suitcase full of stuff if you need it. I have one from HD that has wheels and a handle too. Slides/secures right over the passenger backrest. Comes with rain cover too. Brilliant!

Irish Heritage owner here..fell in love with the new Heritage after riding Route 66 and a bit more 2 years ago. Have arthritis in my hips and still found the bike very comfortable . I rode 3,300 miles in 12 days.
I bought the 23 Heritage and am completely happy with it. I like how I can snap different windshields and fairings on it instantly. For long trips I bought a snap on aftermarket fairing and tourpack.
Just hit the Harley Truck here in Scottsdale and rode the Low Rider S for the first time- (someone dumped the ST I signed up for so no go that day 😑… did NOT like the Mid pegs set high up!!! My knees were up in my gut. No bueno. I took out a FatBoy and fell in LOVE! I find the LR gorgeous bug its SOO not for me. I also noticed there wasnt much torque in the first 2 gears but DAMN! When you get up in 4th that thing comes Alive! Some of us can fall in love with our Eyes but then it falls flat once ya take em out. (Kinda like dating strippers in my 20’s 😂) . Cool to see you pointed out some of the same points as Im finding each time i ride new bikes. Cheers buddy! Keep goin 💯🇺🇸
Love the looks of both, but yesterday I bought the Heritage. My wife rides with me and the type of riding we do the Heritage was the choice in Atlas Silver. It has the chrome package which I prefer. Good video 😎
These were the two bikes that I had narrowed my search down to and it was a difficult decision, but I went with the Lowrider ST and I love it it’s an awesome bike
I'm about to take my second 1,700 mile tour on my '23 FXLRST and I am all about it. Best thing I could have done was buy a small luggage rack for the back for a Sportster and modified it to fit over the back fender (since they still don't have too many options available as of yet). I legit love the f** out of my Lowrider. She's fast, nimble, and is a nice alternative to full-size bagger, which is what I didn't want. Sidenote: you have to detach the entire fairing if you want to add front engine guards, and spend and additional $150 for a signal relocator to do so. I found that out the hard way.
Heritage all the way. You can keep the bags and windshield on or take them off. Looks mean with them taken off. Currently own a 2018 Heritage and my one complaint is the bags leak water in the rain which I solved by putting hard bags on my bike.
I would choose the Heritage over the Lowrider ST. Rode a rented Heritage from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West and back to Ft. Lauderdale in a single day and it was a pleasure. From what I hear the 114 has plenty of power out of the box although I would probably go with a Stage 1 or Stage 2.
I don't prefer the style of the Heritage, but when I tested the LRST, it felt very cramped. Plus, when flat-footed, my legs touch the hot areas of the ST. I thought the ST was going to be my dream bike, but it was very disappointing. I wish the Heritage had a fairing. I guess they make some aftermarket ones. ($$$)
Just substitute the word "HERITAGE" for classic styling. That styling exists for no other purpose than to harken back to the day. We old guys like saying those words, "Back in the day". The less electronics the better. My first bike was a 1864 XLCY Sportster. Breaks came with Rosary beads. When riding my Harleys all I wanted to hear was the engine's heartbeat, feel the wind and temperature changes and smell aromas as you'd ride past a freshly mowed field. I'm 78 and in great health and am about to buy my next (and likely, last) bike.. It will be bike #24 since high school. (1958-1962) It will likely be a Heritage.
I’ve rode both….the Heritage sits and rides like a Harley….lower and a more stretched out position which I prefer…both great bikes….I bought a ‘19 Heritage Classic 114.
I can't stand the dash on the Lower Rider ST, but otherwise like the bike. The heritage seems to be the better value for anyone wanting to do longer riders in comfort. Tough decision between the two.
The Heritage is my kind of bike, it drives great and fits me with 6.3' well. I rode past october a gunship-grey lowrider st with floorboards ( maybe from a blacked-out 22 Heritage) , and I liked it a lot 😁😁😁.
Nice video and a fair comparison. I have a 2020 Heritage V107. I love it and if the windshield, bags and rear seat is removed the bike looks like the discontinued Deluxe minus the white wall tires.
I’ve had both, traded in the Heritage for the ST. With the right modifications the ST is just as comfortable to me and I love it more than my Heritage.
Luv em both but gotta go with the Heritage. Bright wheel option along with motor and the vivid black is definatly classic. Brand newness of a 23 that still looks like a 93!
Great video and review. Only thing I need to say is the heritage right bag is also smaller, ever so slightly and for the same reason is the exhaust. I never noticed it until I did true dual fishtails on my 2018 Heritage.
The 117 and the updated style are awesome. Even so, I still like the old school stuff at times. I think I’d go for the Lowrider ST, but I’d also be happy with a Heritage.
Great review. Give me the Heritage any day. Can that Heritage windshield get blown off the bike from a strong side wind or tailwind? Also , on those Heritage bags with the sunken locks, do they leak in the rain?, looks like they can fill with water when parked.

The Sport Glide did come with a different exhaust setup but still had the uneven bags. I get it's not ideal but I think people make a bigger deal out of it than it really is.
