Us (as fans) need to keep Travis Fimmel's acting career alive. Travis wants to be a farmer and used acting as a way to prosper. Do we not want him to stay? Voice your opinion. The Striking Viking Actually the producer said that when he sats goodbye to Gyda, that it is one of the most stressful and emotional Ragnars moments, everytime i watch the scene i get the chills.

it was so painful to watch ragnar grow older, grow weaker, and grow unhappy🙁. in the first two seasons ragnar was so happy young and strong with lagertha bjorn and gyda, but then the tide turned and I was only sad to see ragnar because he was stressed 24/7 and had no time to be happy and in this state he died poor ragnar 😔

This t.v show was epic. Specially Ragnar. It changed my life, and gave me the confidence to go off travelling alone and become who I am. I have never bee one for t.v and shows , what I mean is I have never really idolised famous people or let them influence me much, but Ragnar has so many sayings, and truths that I've been able to apply in real life. The writer of this show or who ever wrote the words done an amazing job. And watching Ragnar throughout the years has helped to not want to much and to be contempt, often I dream about more and then I remember Ragnar saying: in my mind , I wish I never left the farm. Apply his hunger for new things. But remember if you are happy how you are then try and see it. Because you may throw away something that's amazing in your life and you don't even know it. Thanks again for this video, I remind myself of Ragnar and how I want to be through tributes like this. Good health everyone.
It's just a tv show, but anyway I feel like a part of me died with Ragnar Lothbrok and it still hurts thinking about it
He is such an intense actor, for a "new" face in the industry I liken him to like a Johnny Depp, he becomes the character and I love him for it...I am watching the series now on Netflix and I have had to stop bcuz I realize I am coming up to Ragnar's end and I can't take it
Vikings will never be the same without Ragnar Lothbrok, Travis Fimmel did a HUGE job with his character, you just can't stop loving him, despite the fact he's not the classic "good guy" or "protagonist" we are used to, I'm not even sure I will watch the 5th season ... Hail King Ragnar !!

First I’d like to say a huge majority of the fan base doesn’t watch it for the action and actors it’s about the historical accuracy of the Vikings although the show doesn’t get it fully accurate it’s still impressive how accurate it is and also it’s spelled lodbrok or Loðbrók
The beginning felt so hopeful and adventurous
And it became so broken and finished
A lot of people are complaining about that, and it is somewhat the writers fault, but I think it is also part of the story. Showing how destructive Ragnar became when he was selfish, and how everything can fall apart without good leadership.

How can you not love this character, absolutely brilliant series but once Ragnar had gone it lost its soul.

Depends on who are you talking about... If you talk about Ivars, Ragnars, Flokis actors, or Laguerthas actresses of course. But if you talk about Bjorn or Hvitchek actors...
We love this character so much is well of course the actor who played it has played it so damn well, thank Mr. Fimmel. And the character, we have seen him rise, seen him in crisis and seen him falling. He is a neutral character but the strongest, he comes back in such a strong way. He was the one to play dead and enter Paris and opened the gates for his people to loot Paris, when everyone else's plan fail. Even when he was dying, King Ecbert had no idea whats coming for him, King Aella..(blood ea.. ahem) well Ragnar died a legendary death in which he knew he would be avenged. Thats why this character is 10/10. King Ragnar Lothbrok.

His eyes were blue depicting his ambitions about growing his empire but as he grew old the color faded away and all he had was pain.
Hands down my favourite live action series protagonist. Travis Fimmel's portrayal. The character's story of such great achievements, such ambition causing his greatest suffering

@@chandu5420 For sure just start with Season 1. It's about how the young Ragnar gains his power. The following Seasons go on to tell Ragnars life as the main story and he is the main character.
