  • Check out our addition to the CineBrass family: CineBrass Sonore. We set out to recapture trumpet and horn sections in which we maximized tone and body.

    Even on the speakers in my tv the horns jump right out. It sounds like the player is RIGHT THERE. Absolutely amazing.

    Yes! I'm so happy finally its 4 horns. I much prefer the sound of a real 4 horn section and rarely any library company today produces this. Thank you for bringing back the a4 horns!

    Since I bought it, I definitely fall in love with the sound! I only wish that you guys re-do the strings with same new engine as this one. CineStrings 2 perhaps?

    Will there be a trombones patch later on? I'm actually missing a decent trombone patch in my template which is suitable for those choral passages and chords, and I think it would be very usable to composers to have trombone in this collection as well :)

    You know what would be nice for horns? A patch that CC1 controls the dynamics without any cuivré, like your friend Dylan Hart demonstrated for you years ago. You can swell the sound to a maximum without any cuivré. Then another CC-let's just say CC2-will introduce that sound, and say doesn't work unless CC1 is above 64 in value or something like that. So if CC1 is at 50 and you turn up CC2 to 127 you still don't get any brassiness.
    Most sample patches introduce cuivré quite early, leaving you a very small margin of dynamics to work without getting that 4khz zing. You can currently fudge it by playing with CC11 and CC7 along with CC1, but it would be nice that a library does it naturally. Then your hornist friends might not complain quite as much.

      That's more or less the approach Garritan Personal Orchestra took (of course it's an old library now that doesn't sound anywhere near as nice as Cinesamples). The main brass patches were sampled within a reasonable range, and then separate fff "buzzy" patches were designed to layer over them.

    Sounds awesome, will be adding this to the other three soon :)

    The 4 Horns is a good thing tbh.
    I wish it has A spiccato, staccato, and marcato for the 4 Horns, especially Trumpets for CineBrass Sonore.

    When you decrea
    When you decrease the volume it seems that it is the MAIN volume of Kontkt which include the reverb ... don't you think that is wrong ?

    • @louis-marlowe
      @louis-marlowe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Mike has that fader set to CC11 (Main Volume), rather than CC7 (Expression). CC7 in other CineOrchestra products behaves in the way that you'd want it to (i.e. doesn't affect the reverb) so this shouldn't be any different.

    • @zegozego9196
      @zegozego9196 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@louis-marlowe CC7 IS the Main Volume.
      We clearly see the Main Volume of Kontakt decreasing ...

    • @louis-marlowe
      @louis-marlowe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zegozego9196 apologies - got the CCs mixed up, but the descriptions are correct. CC11 doesn't affect reverb output when suddenly dropped to 0, but CC7 does - I checked it on CineBrass Core for you.

    • @zegozego9196
      @zegozego9196 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@louis-marlowe In that case, CC11 shouldn't moves the Main Volume output, don't you think ?

    • @louis-marlowe
      @louis-marlowe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zegozego9196 agreed, and I tried to say that Mike probably has main volume mapped to that fader, whereas you (and I) would rather map expression to it. It's just a matter of how one likes to work.
