    This has happened to us a few times before too .. where another bull comes right into your space, while you're working on the bull you just got.
    You do an outstanding job of explaining every single thing you do and why you do it. But, Just when you think you're at the top of your game, one totally catches you off guard and does something you didn't even expect!
    RHR you're the BOMB BROTHER!

    Great advice. I hunted an area a few years ago that was literally only a mile from a campground and in between roads. The elk were everywhere and no one was hunting there because it was maybe too obvious or not far from people. I shot at a bull but missed, I learned a lot about that area and have been hunting my families ranch since then. But next year I want to go back and try again. Sometimes the areas you don't think hold elk have a lot of elk and get over looked.

And all of this during an awesome hunt! The only negative thing I can say is that I thought the video would help “cure the itch” while I wait for this coming fall hunting season. Instead, it made me go even more crazy for next season! At least the turkey opener is just around the corner!! Awesome vid

      @RoeHuntingResources  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! ...regarding the Iron Will Broadheads, also scroll below and see the response I gave to Ken's question. But...in short - they're incredible! Hey chris, great video... the winds seemed to be extra crazy in Colorado for us this year for is.. sooo many blown opportunities because the wind would randomly switch... how do you like the iron will broadheads? Good blood trails?

    • @RoeHuntingResources
      @RoeHuntingResources  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely LOVE them! They fly perfectly, have incredible penetration, are wicked sharp, and their durability is unreal! ...because it is a smaller head, the blood trails are excellent, but aren't what you get from say a Rage or RamCat. Because they fly so well, they go where you send them, so if you send them into the boiler room, you'll get blood trails and quick kills!

    EPIC!!!! You seem to let cow calls do the work for you...when are you using the bull bugles? Great video man

    • @RoeHuntingResources
      @RoeHuntingResources  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In most cases, I'll use Level 1, 2, or 3 Contact Bugles when I'm trying to make vocal contact from a distance (i.e. seeking a vocal response/locating). In the right situations, at the right time of the behavioral cycle (based on bull behavior) I'll use more Bull vocalizations, but 99.9% I go straight to base, core, fundamental elk vocalizations/communication and skip "playing to testosterone."

    The bull that came in at the end of the video was a really nice bull, but I disagree that it was a "giant"!

    Dang, I must be the only one that is annoyed by this know it all arrogant dude. I respect his passion and enjoy the same hobby but he's too much for this cat. He needs a friend to talk to.
