Classic greenhorn mistake 😂 I've done something very similar, hell I've even stalked into 35 and realized my release was on the dash of the truck, took 2 shots with a finger grip missed by a mile 😂
Great Story son, There will be other days. Maybe tomorrow. Live in the moment, each moment as they come to you. I stopped using gloves shooting bows for that very reason. We hunted in Washington state very rarely had the open space you had here
@@WyoElkHntr77I understand that. but a giant bull is widely considered 370+. A 270-280 bull is typically 4 years old. If you are from Wyoming this is surprising for you to say that, Wyoming has by far the best general elk hunting in the country. 320” bulls are common in many general units.

Looks like y'all had a good hunt with an awesome encounter. Def not a giant bull though, looked like a 270"-280" bull.
Giant is different I everyone’s eyes. If the see rag horns all the time then a 270 is a big bull.
