Hi Miquel, your zino footage looks great. I’m thinking of buying this drone. Have you encountered any issues? Would you buy this drone again yourself?

Hello Harco, that's a good question. At that moment there was nothing with the specs of this drone under 250g. Right now, there is something from Autel and from the rumours there will be a DJI Mini 3 Pro very soon, but both are more expensive than Zino Mino Pro. I bought mine in Bangood at launch with a promotional code including 2 batteries for 450€ (just based on specs) with some faith it would be a good drone. But I have waited several months for it to become available and manufactured. It is not perfect because occasionally there is some jello in image, the HDR mode does nothing to image and Hubsan doesn't sell all parts for you to repair it yourself in case you need. I had an accident and cracked an arm but they didn't sell me one and wanted me to send the drone to repair. Since it was not severe, I just put some glue and it seems to be ok. So, to answer your question, I think at this moment I would wait for some DJI Mini 3 reviews and see if the price is right. This was my highest priced drone by far and it was already a bit too expensive for my introduction to drone filming just for recreation, I'm glad I ordered 2 batteries, I think I should have gone for the 3 batteries option because if you really want to use it on a special occasion (like it's now or never) it might be useful but it was already too expensive and I was afraid that I would break the drone in a month and then had wasted money on batteries that I wouldn't use, but now a new battery is too expensive to get (I think it's about 80€ and in the initial kit it was just 30€ more for a battery). So maybe if you can get it on a good deal it's still a good buy... it's not obvious to spend twice the price on a drone with similar specs from a well known brand, it might be less risky though. I think you better wait 2 more weeks and see what's coming.

@@MiguelSilvaX Thanks for replying! Over the last week I have been going through the options and had concluded the Autel Nano (not plus) would be the best option. It is set for launch in June. Price is a bit more friendly than that of the Nano+ version and also the Mini 3. Than yesterday I found that the Zino had gone on sale. So I went through a lot of reviews, looked at the progress beeing made in correcting flaws and....in the end decided to buy it. I'm in it for photo rather than video. and hope it will not disappoint. Have fun flying!

The video is terrible. I have to believe there is a camera or gimbal problem. I hope it is as simple as a firmware fix, otherwise, this mini is a non starter.

Did you wait for the TH-cam video processing? Otherwise you might have seen in very low resolution and not 4k.

@@MiguelSilvaX I’m not sure what you are asking, I watched your TH-cam video. You were very thorough in your video, but the video looks similar to prior videos on your channel as well as other channels. I am researching mini drones to make an informed purchase. The Zino pro looked promising, but the video was so bad in comparison to the DJI mini 2, mini SE and the Evo nano+. I just can’t believe it is inherent in the product because it so bad. I’m hoping it is a firmware problem, because it has the features and price point that I like.

@@jeffmelcher2908I was saying that after I upload video to TH-cam in 4K, the TH-cam needs a few hours to process the video and meanwhile it will only show a lower quality with lower resolution (360p 720p or 1080p) of that video, so a 360p video will look terrible. If you can set the quality to 4k than it should be the final video already processed. But yes, as you can see in the description, there is a bug in this firmware that triggered most of the video tests i have done to end up with a bit rate of ~7.3Mbps that is 10x less information being registered than a "normal" video recording from other drones but since it's using the h.265 codec, even though it still shows some compression artifacts, I think the overall image still shows a lot of detail for such a low bit rate. My other videos are mostly using 60mbps and most of them had been recorded using "sunny day" image mode that caused image to become blurry, but my last video testing firmware 1.4.0 in the begining it has a good example of what you can get using the "natural" image mode, I just need to better test it disabling HDR but I think the image quality is becoming pretty good already. Can you point me to some other video to check what is your reference for image quality on another mini drone?

@@MiguelSilvaX check out the Idaho Quadcopter channel. He has reviewed all three of them. His quality seems the same as yours, although if it is a firmware bug, I would expect the same. If you look at the grass or a tree, it looks like parts of the frame is very poor resolution and part of it is very good. It also seems more prevalent while moving.

@@jeffmelcher2908 I have seen Marcus videos and he has been having some problems with jello effect, i don't remember to see any recent video showing the Zino mini pro so i think his videos are still using old firmwares that Hubsan still didn't change the gimbal parameters and had some problems in image quality (blurry "sunny day") etc.. lately he has been testing the Magic 3 that is a larger and much more expensive drone. I hope to be able to make another test on weekend, hopefully without those previous issues...
