@@Thisonegoestoeleven666 Honestly Tucker Carlson was pretty bad before but ever since Trump, he's got disillusioned with neo-conservative politics in general.
Lately he's been talking about how MSNBC is instigating race wars to (and i quote) "distract Americans from class struggles and wealth inequality"
Iv seen this a lot with "conservatives" in general.
Hes been like that since Trump aswell honestly.
During the whole BLM fiasco, you had this dude saying there's a reason why politicians arent being raided, while the poor get their houses burnt down.
Trump was a new york democrat and only chose the Republican party because it was easier than Democrats to get into. Hes advocated for climate change shit and universal healthcare before, and he's pretty famous for arguing against the Iraq war and against stereotypically "conservative politics".

I think with Trump, he previously said hes tryna be the next Reagan. So I wouldnt be surprised if he went along and forced the republicans to do a complete 180.
Everyone hates mconnel, romney, and George bush now, and everyone in the republican party calls them war criminals.

Members of the Australian government, past and present, might find themselves at the Hague if they aren't too careful. Depriving citizens arbitrarily of the right to a fair trial isn't something quickly forgotten by anybody - least of all in the legal profession. The bugging of Timor was undertaken by Downer and was in place in 2003, it was during Howards era (2004+) that the news of that bugging (and further bugging) came out with Witness K (who also mentioned Downer's involvement) and the US embassy leaks published by Wikileaks. (which resulted in a couple Labour and Liberal ministers resigning as they were on the CIA payroll).
Downer instructed the ASIS operations to bug Timor of to the benefit of Woodside who were in negotiations at the time with the company over gas rights. Downer used an agreement from the 80's signed by Suharto to claim the gas fields, and gave the rights to Woodside.
Downer on leaving parliament, was then employed by Woodside as a representative for a few years at $500k a year.
Interestingly Downer also played down security concerns with Huawai equipment in our telecommunications network (even though their devices were caught phoning home to chinese servers run by the government on the quiet as soon as they had power, this is national infrastructure too, not mobile phones) and after woodside, Downer was employed by Huawai.
TBH I suspect there could be a case against Downer for treason, he used Australian funds and intelligence services to give away gas rights to a foreign owned entity who then employed him in a possible quid pro quo situation.
Witness K should be hailed as a hero. Anyone involved who did not push back against downer should join him in being charged.

As a Swede, I am just confused as to how I wound up here.
Although I admit I am oddly fascinated by the topics at hand.
    Great content there, mate! 😄

I have just written an email to my local federal MP to ask why whistleblower David McBride is being prosecuted, while at the same time, nobody who committed those war crimes has been charged.
I urge everyone to email (politely) their federal MP to ask a similar question.
They can ignore me, but they can't ignore all of us.
Edit - and don't forget to donate to David McBride's legal fund.
    He is worth supporting.

Good that you're holding Labor to account (in the few instances they even need to be lol). Not free of criticism, and whatever criticism they do get I'd hope is an avenue for them to improve even more. They need to step up and make their position on this case known.

They need to be taken to task for abandoning Assange after creating false hope with the "quiet diplomacy" nonsense, and they also need to be severely dressed down for signing up to this obscenely expensive and pointless submarine deal that effectively surrenders Australian sovereignty.
Geez, take the rose-tinted glasses off. Labor are a terrible disappointment.

"in the few instances they even need to be" labor need to be held to account just as much as any other government. being 'less bad' than other parties doesn't mean they should get free reign.

The police raid you mentioned in the beginning, I mean, we expected them to be more circumspect with that after "The Assistance and Access Act 2018", but daaaamn...
