    This is a very good review of a product I'm seriously thinking about buying.
    Thank you

      You bet - and I can say I still love them! They are holding up well and I have zero complaints. They did come out with a new version which I have not gotten yet to see how they are. You can check them out while you are making your decision, but again - I haven't had a chance to try them - they go by the same model: smx-1 r, but they are V2. blueeyedrider.com/gear/alpinestar/boots/smx1rv2

      guys are those boots for street riding or more track oriented boots? Do you have a link to your jacket?And idk where did you get those boots but they're not on revzilla or either on alpinestar website.

    Just ordered same boots I have the dainese raptor ankle boot,they are comfy but they are lace ups they are a nightmare so I’m hoping the Alpinestars with the zip up and Velcro strap will offer more comfort.
    Great vid by the way 👍🏼

      Thank you! You will love the boots. They are so easy, and without laces I think you will find they are worth every penny.

    Have you had the chance to try the new V2 yet? Are these still holding up well?

      These are holding up great and I absolutely love them. I have the V2 non-vented in my wish list with a plan to purchase soon just because I need something warmer in the cooler weather, but as of now I have not tried them.

    Do they protect your ankle good enough?

    • @BlueEyedRider84
      @BlueEyedRider84  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they protect your ankle like most riding boots. Reinforced armor around the ankle area and very hard to bend. They don't protect as well as the full height boots, but that's just due to physics and support characteristics. I will say if you get in an accident where these don't protect your ankle, you have a lot more you are worrying about than that. They will protect it from drops, etc where you're bike ends up resting on your foot, etc

    Are they save?

      In my opinion, they are a great and safe riding boot for the open road. I would even wear them on a track, but tracks may not allow the shorter boots.
