    The best motorcycle gear is the gear that you will actually wear. I wanted to find the best pieces of gear that were well priced, offered good protection and looked great. After testing my top choices for every gear category, I found my picks for the best summer motorcycle gear in each category (best motorcycle gloves, best motorcycle jacket, best motorcycle gloves, best motorcycle pants and best motorcycle helmet). While these are all great for super hot summer riding (I wear this stuff daily in 100 degree weather here in Texas) they are still great for all season riding gear. I have the same Dainese jacket, and we’ve been going through a heat blast the past few weeks here in SoCal. I tried packing the front internal pockets with plastic bags of ice, and let me tell you, GAME CHANGER. As it melts the condensation gets all over your chest allowing ay sort of air flow to feel almost literally like a blast of AC! Bonus feature, As you pull over for a pit stop or to get gas, you can drink chilled water 👍

      @@nathan-ls8yw apologies for the super late reply 😬 I’d imagine it’s the same as any other brand, there are differing jackets within the respective lineup depending on what you need. I will add though, this jacket is definitely breathable considering how protective it is. That’s the other factor to consider is what sort of trade off you are willing to make, do you want the best protection or the most breathable jacket that won’t resist abrasion nearly as much as say, leather. I do also have a jacket from Knox, the Urbane Pro, that is probably the best for airflow while still being rated to take a slide. It ain’t cheap by any means, but since you can either wear it as a stand alone jacket or underneath a regular hoody to still get some CE protection on a bike, I feel that versatility alone more than makes up for the price difference over other armor/mesh options. www.planet-knox.com/product/urbane-pro-armoured-shirt/

    If you want even more airflow. I recommend to switch to the dainese airframe jacket and drake air d-dry pants. Also if you use a backprotector the dainese pro armor. More airflow is almost not possible with protection.

    As you said the new feature of the gloves are the sliders. But those are not to protect you from impact but so you don't break your wrist when your hand slams on the ground . That's because normally the leather or... material of the glove would have to much grip on the ground and could twist your hand. The slider provides that. Because as it is called a slider it makes your hand slide over the ground instead of getting caught up

    • @TheFirstCause
      @TheFirstCause 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, absolutely! You are 100% correct, it is just facts, not even just your experience. Black absorbs light and thus heats up in a huge way. This is one of my annoyances with riding gear... so much is... black... because of style. Even stuff meant for summer. I aim for white for both visibility purposes and reducing the heat absorption. The difference is massive between white clothing and black clothing in summer.

    I know it's probably much more difficult, but saying the mileage gear lasts would be better. I have some summer gloves that cost me about £40, and winter gloves that cost £10 lol, the summer gloves are still in great condition considering I've had them four years, the winter gloves are torn (one is) but still usable, almost four years old too, but they have not really done a lot of miles between them. I've probably only done 6k+ miles all together in that time because I can't get out nearly as much as I'd like, I bet your gloves have done much more in just two years of use.

    Important Tip: Some pants do not fit with your motorcycle depending on the way your knees and feet are positioned

    I don't like riding with shoe laces boots. Get caught too easily with the shifter. If you somehow nub it into the lace. Or if the lace unties itself. I'm sticking to the fast loop and velcro or button type.

      Yeah, I'm cheap and wear work boots with laces. Which are very comfortable. But yeah, I've had laces get eaten up by a moving chain.

      I tuck the laces under the Velcro and into the ankle.

      @@motonosity I don't know..If it aint secured properly, it's coming off. I've seen videos of crashes that shoes fly off their feet and such. Not sure what force in physics can do that, but damn, i'm not risking...LOL

    Riding with all black gear is inviting an accident to happen. Have to have some bright colours if you want to stay safe and mind your nice bike.

    Those are all great picks for airflow but black summer gear? You can stay a lot cooler with lighter colors. The Rev'it GT-R Air 2 also flows a lot of air but the Arc Air looks sweet. Both have a white colorway.
