- Since many people had been asking me about the result of my first hyaluronic acid knee injection in January 2021, here's a short clip of me the next day after the treatment. As you can see in the video, I had no problem doing this movement anymore. Before the treatment, there was no freaking way I could do this. The pain was unbearable when I tried to bend my knee like this. But thankfully, this treatment drastically changed my life. I can now do my knee exercises without dying in pain and play my sport, which is beach volleyball.
This treatment worked for me, but it doesn't mean it will work for you. Always seek professional help. Ask your traumatologist for the best advice. I consulted five knee specialists before I canceled my knee surgery in 2020 and decided to take this treatment.

I hope you have a wonderful time and be able to to do all the activities you want. I have the same problem (chondromalacia), and I'm planning to get my hyaluronic injection in a month from now.
I will get my second shot probably next week. I played last week, and I felt the pain coming back after I injected it last year in January. The first treatment lasted for about 1 year and 3 months, which is not bad.

Oh man! Does that mean you're going to have to take it once a year for good?
Also do you know if there is any difference if you take the injection before or after grade 4 (bone exposure)?
@@salehsaleh4705 Yes, it's a temporary solution to ease knee pain. The last knee specialist I went to said I don't have many options for knee surgery. He doesn't recommend doing the Micro Fracture Surgery. But, to answer your question, I THINK if you do it at an early stage of chondromalacia, it will prevent further damage to your knee because it will serve as a cushion to avoid bone-to-bone friction.
I wish I had done it earlier, like when I first felt the pain in my knee a few years ago.

i was diagnosed with a chondral defect and the doc suggested hyaluronic injection but it's pricey. how long is the efficacy? months? years?
My first one lasted for about 1 year and 4 months! but I was also playing my sport which is Beach Volleyball. It is pricey but I'd rather do this for now than undergo any surgery.

Hello, This video is the result of the treatment. Before the Hyaluronic acid injection, I couldn't bend my knee like in the video. So I did the treatment in January 2021.

Hey man, I was just wondering if it makes it easier to do weight after the injections, I can't straighten my knee for the last 6 or 7 months, would this injection help
Hey Sean, the Hyaluronic acid injection helped me a lot with my gym exercises and doing my sport which is beach volleyball. It worked for me, so I would highly recommend it to someone with the same knee problem. But like I always say, consult a specialist first before anything else.
