Perhaps due to an impractical use of space which is a huge negative for me personally... especially the upper level. Cannot even stand on either side of the bed, although it is beautiful to look at and no doubt cozy once in bed. :) 🙏
as its already mentioned. Its the space what is lost compared to straight walls. But when it comes to static and other things like snow on the roof, wind and even keeping the warmth in a house (Thermal economy), then an a frame house can be preferred. Its more practical those ways. Over the years, space became important. Look at the cities, towns and small villages. It is simply easier to build this way. They fit better side to side with straight walls and they can be easier build on a grid system with sewers, pipes and so on. Nowadays people start to rethink what makes a house a home. Realizing that it doesnt take much becomes trendy and so the space becomes less important. Tiny homes becoming a new way of living. A frame houses slowly get back their interests aswel and so on. We realize that not every corner in a house needs to be stuffed. Minimalism is making its steps. Less is more.
I love A-frames. Loooovvve them, when they're well done, like this one. As for the slanted walls, they seem like the perfect place to put waist-high cabinets for storage. Most A-frames waste that space. I also wouldn't have a loft; I would just keep those soaring ceilings for the feeling of space. Makes me feel like a bird in the sky. PS: the upstairs in this one is totally awesome and well worth it. It must be a very tall A-frame!
I really love your Video tours. This video makes me more interested in building a A FRAME. I have always said I want to buy a old warehouse and covert it into a loft home but now I like to incorporate the A-frame design within that structure. Out of all the places you have stayed is there one that exceeds your expectations? I really like the hunter green place video as well.
Eric Elmore thanks so much for the support! We’d have to say the most beautiful are between this one and Hunter Green for sure! We will be shooting some gorgeous A Frames in California next month so keep your eyes peeled!
@@edennis8578 yes we have them here. But without glass roof/ glass windows on the roof😁 in indonesia we have a traditional house which is kinda similar. "rumah lumbung" or lumbung house👍
If I were instructing an architect on how I wanted my house designed, I would tell him that ALL THE WINDOWS MUST BE EASY TO CLEAN. That would eliminate skylights. It would eliminate any window that could not be cleaned (indoors or out) by means of a fairly short ladder; in fact, on the exterior, windows not easily reached from the ground should have a balcony/porch (or perhaps an engawa) on which the window-washer can stand. High windows under very high ceilings are a foolish choice. Asked by a friend for a bid on her house, a window-washer told her, "You couldn't afford it. I would have to rent scaffolding to reach the high windows; the labor required for erecting, climbing, and dismantling the scaffolding would cost you way too much."
Sallie Skakel I cleaned my ridiculously high a frame windows at the end of the summer season using a $65.00 power washer rental + the appropriate chemical soaps to prevent mildew.
Is that your closet or the whole cabin? I mean I guess but I say aim for the house you want not the one you can afford. Hang on and one day you’ll get there
Why did A-Frames fall out of style? It makes perfect sense where I live where there is huge amounts of snow. This house is awesome.

A shame that A-Frames "fell out of style". They seem to be making a comeback, great!

Interesting, have seen plenty of A-frames with bump outs but not on a slip stone base.
Superb!
Wow!
Love this ❤️
A-frame house means a tiny bit of snow on the roof.
I guess that is the reason for the A frame right?
Meu Deus que casa espetacular, meu sonho de consumo!!!!! Parabéns aos arquitetos e ao proprietário, muito bom gosto...
I miss the Catskills NY its like Turtle lake Wisconsin or Milleacs Minnesota.

Que casa linda 😍😍😍
The plans for this house was given by god
A "Heavenly" house!
Интересный дом!... 👍
Very cool. Need a location on top of a hill - for a nice overview of the surroundings.
Are the plans for this house available anywhere?
parabéns ótimo cantinho
I love
😍🤤 This home is gorgeous!! My son & I have 11 acres. I’m really considering an A frame. Do you have any idea of who the builders are?
The original house was built in the 70's and modified at some point after that. I have no idea who built it but I wish I did!

Hermosa ,pero pondria la cama mirando el paisaje ......🍷⛱
Insulation against the winter cold? High cieling require extra much heating as it rises. Could cieling fans bring it down again?
Another idea - oven/fireplace on which you also could heat food on top?
Stfu
Beautiful 🤩 How much did it cost?
Not sure! We only stayed here as guests
Where are you in the Catskills and what is the pricing...have been looking in Andes..Margarettville area's
We don't live in the Catskill we just do a lot of photo and video work there!
Is it geothermal heating, or do you have to wait all morning for it to heat up?
Great house,,,
Beautiful! How many acres is it on though?
Just one acre. The rest was owned by grumpy ol willy
Love💕the house! Very wellplanned n nice interior👍
But those windows r not suitable 4 hot sunny tropical places, would make it worse...
Do they build A-frames in tropical places? I've only seen them up north.

@@edennis8578 many places in this world have that typical A-framed house , but w different names n some variations👍
Is this place to rent ?
Keep wild!
Wow~~~~♡♡♡

Дом хороший, но снято резко
Acaso la casa pertenece a Joe Jonas ?
私ももっと血に足のついた生き方を選べてたら、ニセコかどこかでこんな暮らし出来てたね。
home is wow 🤩 but cheap music like the one playing makes me so pissed off that I really can't wait for this corporate video to end.
that mute button tho
Cabin? This is an actual house. Click bait. I'll make a note of this channel so I never click on another video.
Perfect! I'll make a note of your channel as well and hope we never cross paths again. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
