Swapping out your Landcruiser brake booster for a 1995 4runner booster and how to fix your fuel sending unit. After all the days work she finally gets her first paint polish!

That's an awesome score when you can find a rust free rig that age. I need to find some rust free parts for my 60.

Some very good tips and tricks there sir. Got the head off of my 60 . blew the head gasket last week. right at 300,000mi. no word from the machine shop yet. but i am hopeful. Just a bit of carbon buildup on the no.4 exh. guild. and both of the guilds on 5. Cylinder walls look great, with no ridge ring.:)

Hey man i dont think it matters if you turn up side down the brake booster, One time i took a FJ60 booster off to install in a FJ40 and had to turn it upside down to make it work and had no problem.
It doesn’t matter if it is. For fitting purposes I had to Flip it

Haha oo boy that’s never bad thing just means your rig is put together! Let me know if need a skid plate I think I have a few extra ones
Is the brake booster from a 62 larger than the 60 series one?
They are the same
What polishing compound did you use? Looks like something from 3M? I picked up an '85 FJ60 recently, almost identical color. It came with a farm property my brother bought in Montana (another funny similarity to this truck). He's not a car guy so I happily relieved him of that burden. Mechanically it's probably in a bit better shape than this one, only 140K original miles, but cosmetically just a bit worse. I'd like to try and make the paint at least presentable while I fix everything else up and save my pennies for the paint job.
