they had to cut the jabs animation to make it align with the global cooldown. it would have been nice to retain some of the power lost from the cut animation but here we are.
The fact is Templars are the most neglected class in the game. They are supposed to be holy knights who heal and do damage with the power of sunlight. We should have a 10% healing done passive and 15% spell/weapon damage passive. In addition to that we should have both passives more max magicka by 3000 and magicka recovery by 300. We are basically supposed to be sun touched magical knights. Just like dragon knights have unlimited protection healing and damage he we should get the same since we are their counterparts. Sorcerers should have their shields cut in half and double the cost making them 6k a cast so those scrubs cannot spam shield and be unkillable even though they are wearing light armor.
@@jonesfps6726 oh I agree absolutely. That last jab of the animation makes the whole thing look floppy. Reminds me of the wiggly pencil optical illusion we did when we were kids
Im starting in eso and been watching a bunch of videos to get to know a bit more about the classes. Yours are among the best, I can understand quite simply without going insane lol. Still not sure what class to play, torn wetbeen nblade and templar, but at least im informed.
Absolutely amazing video as always ! Whenever I see a new player in game asking for builds , I instantly link your channel, great info and asmr voice :D !
Personally, as a DPS, I still like War Maiden's with magplar. Paried with a proc set, or even just with deadly and velothi, it's pretty potent, and not a huge difference in dps.
I used to slot Focused Charge in vMA in the ice arena to get to the troll and in the poison arena to get to the casters in the corners. Dropped it at some point, when I had a better feeling for the rhythm of the fights, but helped quite a bit in the beginning.
the magicka trash setup on the chart shows 7 pcs of sul-xan. With BSW back bar, you could do front bar sul-xan/full monster set/1 pc trainee or Druid’s, or instead, an arena front bar- perhaps an oversight there? Having said that, I’ve enjoyed your videos so thx!
Yeah, absolutely right there’s supposed to be a monster set there. Wardrobe malfunction I guess - I’ll see if I can fix it but either way there’s more Templar stuff coming soon where I’ll cover setups in a bit more detail.
Do you think when you are done with the Class Guides could you also do Deep Dives into stuff like Vampire, Werewolf, Fighter's Guild, Mage's Guild, and Psijic Order skill lines?
@NinjaPulls if it’s not too much trouble, can you showcase the difference in dps between bis trial gear and crafted alternatives? Is the gap really that big between crafted sets orders wrath and Hundings/Julianos vs meta sets like relequen, pillar of nirn or are we only talking like 10% or less? Much appreciated
Hey there! Most of the best gear sets work situationally, so their power is dependent on that. The differences between trial sets and crafted sets ARE significant, but not massive. We're talking 10-15% as you said. DPS is mostly down to player execution. But this begs the question: if you're trying to do your best rotation, why not use the best setup? It's free damage. Trial gear is also easier to collect than you might think. The main difficulty is finding a group of decent people - feel free to join the Ninja Pulls Discord if you want more tips or wanna join some teaching trials with us. Good luck and thanks for the kind words!
Great video and I have recently become a fan of your content. Unfortunately, as a Templar main since Murkmire the Templar has felt deficient since update 35. Yes, on paper its dps is comparable to many other classes however it is all backloaded from execute. For a solo/small group PVE experience this is not conducive. Please ZOS, adjust beam and return power to jabs/sweeps!
Thanks for the kind words! I must admit I’ve been surprised to see a few comments like this. Sure, Arcanist and Dragonknight are still ruling the roost, but in my experience Templar is still performing very well. That execute in particular often becomes a LOT more powerful in content than it looks on the dummy. I agree that some tweaks/improvements could definitely be made, but don’t lose hope! Templar is still really good!
Sorry, probably not. I love PvP but I won't make a guide about anything unless I have a LOT of experience in that area. Too many bad/misleading videos out there already!

Honestly I'm really looking forward to the day 2h is no longer a back bar weapon it's never felt right I miss staves and bows. Jusy my opinion on it. I love all the eso classes but anymore arcanist aside they all seem so cookie cutter
Yeah, I hear this complaint a lot and although the cheeky part of me wants to say "get over it" 😜, I prefer to be helpful so I'm gonna say that Inferno and Bow back bars both work really well. Magicka sustain is one reason why 2H and Bow often work better, and there is a bizarre backlash against melee weapons amongst much of the ESO community which makes no sense at all. But ultimately there IS a lot of flexibility and it's not as cookie cutter as it might first appear. Hope that was helpful - happy hunting!
@@Grymlock I agree. A big two-hander just screams "here comes the main weapon". But as it is outclassed on the front-bar and Uppercut is no fun anyway, I take it as a good back-bar option.

I got a decent pve build going, just questing and doing dungeons, but I'm really trying to lock down the direction I need to go for gear and build for pvp. I'm so bored questing. I just want to pvp but I know I'll just get destroyed until I get the right gear.

I dont really know where else to ask this, Would it be possible to run a build that uses no magic. As in nothing that has a noticeable magical effect. Im trying to create a stereotypical dnd style fighter just for the hell of it really Could this be done? Could it be even somewhat effective? Im thinking one handed and shield and. Idk bow or greatsword for the backbar? I dont know a lot about the game but most the classes dont appeal to me immensely and the ones that do ive already got characters of them. Even if the ability costs magicka thats fine so long as it doesnt look magical or ritualistic. Obviously you can just run weapon skills but what the hell can you do about self healing? Idk all the skill lines by heart so im not sure
That is tough. You can join our Discord if you wanna get some ideas there, although most of the advice players tend to give is about optimising damage, not roleplaying. But yes, this would be possible so long as you're not attempting very difficult content. Sword and Shield is not good for damage though, so I'd recommend Bow or Dual Wield instead. However, I gotta say that many of the Stamina abilities DO have a magical 'feel', such as Volley, where you fire one arrow into the air and dozens more rain down on the enemy, or Blade Cloak, Stampede etc. I don't know if that's an issue for you, but if so then you'll find it even more difficult. As for healing, you could use a set like Briarheart and the Reaving Blows Champion Point instead of actual abilities. The healing would still be, well... magical but at least you won't SEE it! Hope that helps - like I said feel free to DM me in the guild Discord, and happy hunting.
