On the HD Tri Glide, rear is a must even if you don't do the front. I am about to have the front done on my 2021 Trike. At the same time have the lowers on the front replaced with chrome. Might as well while the front is down.
Hey Jerry, You are absolutely correct. The front and rear suspension play different parts in comfort and performance, so you get different upgrades from each-one. That front suspension will make as big of a change as the rears did. Better anti-dive, more control, better steering. And We preach, often that the best time for front upgrades is during alterations to front end or during fork service. " While you are in there" is a cost saver for sure. From Legend Suspensions, thank you for your business and supporting American Made.
Ain't that a true statement. Did the Revo As in the rear and now I'm trying to work up enough cash to do the front end. It really makes the flaws evident. Maybe I'll just have to ride out to the Hills this spring, stop in and one thing leads to another and I got a new front end out in Sturgis 😉
Just do both. You’ll love the ride when there both done along with a full 1” to 1.5” drop. The drop will lower the center of gravity and be extremely more balanced and also help to turning feel more natural. If you can’t afford both I feel I would do the back first with about a 1.5” total rear drop. No rubbing issues even with a passenger on my 13 ultra
Lowering a bike just reduces cornering clearance and suspension travel. I went the other way and raised the rear about 1.5" because I wanted crisp turn in and lean angle. Only dropping the rear will make the bike more stable in a straight line but also harder to turn because you are increasing rake angle. Lowering the whole thing will keep handling characteristics pretty much the same as far as turn in goes. And I think you are confusing the effects of a better suspension with better spring and damping rates with the effect of lowering. Steering does feel a lot more natural when you aren't trying to work against some weak ass springs with insufficient damping which is how a stock Harley is set up. Like it is a 1978 Lincoln Town Car or something.
@@Lurch-Bot I personally am not one who rides hard so cornering or rubbing pipes is not an issue for me. I found lowering my bike put the center of gravity lower that makes it not as top heavy and I actually like the feel of my turns better. Especially slow turns. The ultras are very top heavy. Just my opinion brotha
Do the front 1st. Eliminate the nose dive that is common on Roadglides. Then match the rear shocks with Revo-A's, & VOILA, - great performance, great suspension, which equals a better riding experience.
Thank you Legend for your advise. Also the Dealer had mounted the rear shocks upside down and once that was also corrected the suspension now works like I was hoping for. Our roads here are quite rough compared to US roads and lots of bumps in corners, my new legend front and rear now give me a way better ride comfort and handling
Thanks, mine are now mounted right way up, yes they did work fine but Legend said I should change if possible, so I did. They are not as flush as I thought they would be, still feel quite harsh when I hit bumps, we have pretty poor roads down here so need to find a balance between comfort and stability
2022fltrxs. The back is the Legendary Revoa. The front has been replaced with a 21-inch wheel. I want to lower it by an inch, and I want a better suspension than now. Could you please recommend.
Thank you for your business. For the front suspensions if you have added a 21" front wheel on your '22 Road Glide Special, we recommend the 0414-0543 Axeo21 This will work perfectly for your bike and rear suspension. This will have built in suspension sag and will lower your front end and bring your bike back to level. The height gained from your wheel and tire will be corrected by this kit. This is the part number you can use at any local shop with a Drag Specialties account, a Parts Europe account or Parts Canada account. Definitely rear, you ride on the rear and your passenger too. The front is adequate enough. Iv owned over 15 Harley touring bikes in my time. The rear is the best bang for your buck. I run legend Revos.
I got the 13inch HD Rear and front suspension on my 2021 Road king 1 month ago and am still having issues with comfort and handling. I have adjusted rebound from a setting of 5 down to 1 to see what happens and dealer said rear sag was 1", so why am I still getting a bit of wallow if I hit a bump coming into a corner. I know the suspension is high quality so there must be something else. I have actually lost some confidence in cornering now. On bumps I still notice them more than I would have thought I should...
Hello, it depends what year of Dyna you are looking to install 1" longer shocks on, there are many models that had different lengths or rear shock. We have a video on possible upgrades or changes you'd need for going to something like 14" shocks. Say you have something like a Stock 2013 Street Bob with 12" shocks and 1" longer rear shocks making them 13" is generally no issue. It really depends on your setup. IF you would like, please email service@legendsuspensions.com and our techs would be more than happy to help make sure your setup is ideal. Or we do have a live chat feature that goes straight to our Customer Service/Techs. It is on our website on the bottom right-hand corner. We hope this helps.

I have a 2011 wide glide and I dont like its rear suspension. I feel every more serious bump. With the Front so far I am not having any issues with it.. Whats your recommendation?
Ralfwoick3710 Thanks for the comment. There are several great options. The Revo or Revo-A is hand down the most popular option on this bike. We offer them in 12" or 13". Most of the time we recommend the 13" due to getting additional suspension travel and the 13" shocks sit right about 12" when the sag is set. On most Wide Glides we recommend the Heavy-Duty spring rate due to the shock angle on the bike. If you have any additional questions we would be happy to answer them for you We have a chat feature on our website. Or email service@legendsuspensions.com
About to buy a front and rear set up for a 2007 Electra glide standard with 21 inch front wheel and lots of engine work done. 300 pound rider with a 145 pound wife any suggestions?
Hello, On the Electra Glide, we recommend 13" Rear shocks with Heavy Duty spring rate for this bike, the Revo, Revo-A or Revo-ARC would all work great depending on the level of adjustment you might want or need. For the front suspension the Standard height Axeo could work or the Axeo21 for 97-13 Touring. If you have a 21" front wheel and you are using the stock front fender with out the use of lift brackets, and you plan to leave the front fender stock in the stock location then you can use the Standard height Axeo, If you have lift brackets on your front fender or a fender designed for a 21" front wheel, then we only recommend the use of the Axeo21 for this application. We recommend the preload on the front suspension be set by Rider (the main rider) weight only per the install guide. For any other technical questions please reach out to our customer service dept service@legendsuspensions.com or use our chat feature on our website to ensure you get exactly what you need.
2016' Road Glide Ultra CVO, for a 40 grand plus bike the stock HD suspension is crap. I did legend both ends and you would swear it's a totally different bike! Put Legend Revo A on back and Axeo on the fronts all of it is of top quality design and build. The first time I had the wife on the back it took less than 5 minutes before she complimented the ride improvement. My only beef is there is absolutely ZERO customer service, via phone, if you have a question you have to email legend and wait a few days for a response. In my case because I have a CVO model and the instructions only addressed the non CVO type front end. The CVO, stock, had dampers in both legs where the regular model does not and the instructions do not address that, or at least they used to. Legend needs a human to answer a phone. In my case I ended up taking the front end from top to bottom apart and back together twice to do it right.
We typically tell people to start at 3 and go out and ride with that. You can pick a road that has bumps and adjust the rebound to 1, go out and hit the bumps. Then turn around, click the rebound into 6 and then hit the same bumps. This helps you figure out what exactly is going on. It is really just a personal preference and also depends on the roads and your riding style.
Do you guys have any front suspension that will fit a 2002 Softail Deuce fork? As my model came with a thinner fork, the same size as the Night Train. Thanks in advance!
Hello, Unfortunately we do not have a fitment for the Softail Deuce. At this time our Softail fitments for the 2000-2017 are for the FLST's and not the FXST's due to the tube length. Thank you for inquiring.
Hello Rich, The 13" Revo-A is a crowd favorite! it does everything well. Depending on the weight on the bike most often, will decide if you need standard or heavy Duty springs, but rest assured we offer spring swaps so there is no risk of being stuck with something that just does not work for you. If you are 400-500lbs on the bike 50% of the time or more we think you would be pretty safe on the HD spring rate, it is still softer than stock suspension.
Awesome video I’m in the situation as Carolina rider. Comment below had the 12”Revo A & the Axeo -1 installed about 800 miles ago the rear are sweet but the Fronts are NOT like everyone says “Rides like on cloud” I feel every bump big or small any suggestions would be appreciated.
2020 RGS. The installer redid the front fluid & according to him the left fork was over filled so he drained both L&R forks and refilled them. Now the bike is ALOT smoother. Had my buddy ride it & he also says it’s smoother now.
I’m thinking of doing my suspension on my 21 fat bob. I just want the ability to make it super soft (like riding on a cloud) for highway driving and then have it be super tight for days I want to play more on the gas. Is 5hat a thing with the air suspension systems or am I misunderstanding?
Hey there, What you are wanting is the exact natural biproduct of what Legend Suspensions offers. On the Axeo you have oil and nitrogen in the cartridge system, with a piston in the middle and they handle different aspects of your riding. the more you cruise the more if will give you comfortable casual, as soon as you get more aggressive the piston moves and the force being applied firms up your ride based on the input it is receiving. Think automatic transmission for suspension. The rear suspension works just the same. Coil or AIR ride will both give you this. When you set the suspension sag it is telling the shocks how much you weigh and to use all the travel without bottoming out. Then the rebound controls how fast or slow the shock extends after hitting a bump. This is perceived as soft to firm. But the sag setting is going to allow you to cruise in comfort and then get aggressive and it will instantly react based on the input you give and the velocity of the compression and shaft movement. We hope this answers your questions and please feel free to reach out of you have any other questions. service@legendsuspensions.com or we have a live chat Monday- Thursday Thank you.

Good to know! we will work on the other 8% for sure.
Do the front 1st. Eliminate the nose dive that is common on Roadglides. Then match the rear shocks with Revo-A's, & VOILA, - great performance, great suspension, which equals a better riding experience.
You got it!! Such a simple concept. when you know, you know.
How in the eff does a dealer install a shock upside down! Time to find a new dealer.
@@cheby56 I wondered that myself but apparently not uncommon, all sorted now
@@colinmanion4988Some shocks on baggers have to be mounted “upside down” in order to clear the bags. Work just the same.

Hey Colin thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear about this, please email service@legendsuspensions.com and they will get you taken care of. Thanks!
if you go 1 inch bigger in the rear do you need to make your front fork tubes longer on a dyna ?

Hi I have a 2022 Lowrider ST and put both on my bike. The back mono is incredible!!!!! The fronts are also amazing What a game changer, but the fronts are to stiff and I feel everything on the road. I asked the shop what they set the preload at they said zero I'm 195. Any suggestions?

@@freebehindbars8654 Exactly. It’s honestly the main reason I shuttered my business. I would have had to hire a customer service employee to handle all of it…and I was a sole proprietor LLC.
@@LegendSuspensions should also add she dint ride much and I also don’t load the bike down with gear would I still need the heavy duty springs
Front for me
2016' Road Glide Ultra CVO, for a 40 grand plus bike the stock HD suspension is crap.
What rebound setting are people running
Which rear suspension do you recommend for rear suspension for a 2021 RGL?
Hello Rich, The 13" Revo-A is a crowd favorite! it does everything well. Depending on the weight on the bike most often, will decide if you need standard or heavy Duty springs, but rest assured we offer spring swaps so there is no risk of being stuck with something that just does not work for you. If you are 400-500lbs on the bike 50% of the time or more we think you would be pretty safe on the HD spring rate, it is still softer than stock suspension.
@@LegendSuspensions I have a 2021 RGL My wife and I have a combined weight of 400lbs. Why does someone decide to go with the 14" Revo Arc?
Awesome video I’m in the situation as Carolina rider. Comment below had the 12”Revo A & the Axeo -1 installed about 800 miles ago the rear are sweet but the Fronts are NOT like everyone says “Rides like on cloud” I feel every bump big or small any suggestions would be appreciated.
Might want to check with Harley on this to see if the FatBob fender will work on the 22 Low S.
Did you get your fronts situation fixed? Are you happy with them now? What bike do you ride that you had a problem with the legends.
Thanks, Butch
Hey there,
What you are wanting is the exact natural biproduct of what Legend Suspensions offers.
We hope this answers your questions and please feel free to reach out of you have any other questions. service@legendsuspensions.com or we have a live chat Monday- Thursday
Thank you.
