Nice!! I've got an Indium estate which I'm shortly going to book into DMS. Mine is GPF equipped and they are quoting 378bph. Looks like it goes well, can't wait to have mine done!!
I have one of these. Doesn’t turn heads, (which I like). Quicker than my previous 2016 WRX but not as good on windy roads , the WRX was excellent but 6 speed manual was unforgiving. Love the auto, only drive in race mode. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
A proper ‘sleeper’ would be the 272 Passat or Superb. There’s very little in their styling and even the bodywork badging that hints at the performance compared to the standard TDI’s you see everywhere
Eek why is evryone so salty on here ?!😂a practical estate, quick looks good sounds good the exhaust may not be for evryone but who cares it’s not your car, enjoy it and smile
Estate standard exhaust has no flaps, only hatchback has exhaust flaps. Why spend money on a remus to have flaps for exhaust (if selected) I don't know, what's the point in modding it.
I have a stage 1 Cupra R ST 368hp/489NM (measured on a dyno at 31 degrees celsius temp), more than enough. Didnt want to touch the exhaust system as its and opf car. The rest of the setup is the same. All racingline w stage 1 ecu and dsg software, plus I added a GFB DV
Cat-back full system with resonator delete, Racing Line air box & foam filter, turbo muffler delete, wider bore elbow & intake pipe then a remap of ECU and gearbox. Dyno showed 322 before and 402 after on the day so an 80bhp gain. Not that fussed if it’s actually 400 or not given the obvious point that all dynos vary and most forums seem to suggest the mods done deliver circa 375 / 380 on average. (that’s just what that particular dyno showed on that particular day) - happy with the gain in performance for the investment.
This won’t be making 400 bhp , will Need downpipe and stage 2 map for them kind of figures . Obviously been on a generous dyno . DMS bullshitting people’s dyno figures 🙄 More bhp sells maps I guess
Right nice setup fella 👍🏾 reason I asked because I've got the golf r 17plate estate I want to no if it was stage 1 you put on your car . But sounds like you have . so I no I'm in the right decision to remap my gearbox and engine I've got the cat- back back box and the racing line intake and resonator delete suggesting to get the wider bore as well to get a better roll Plus mines all stock at the moment so I'm just thinking 😁 . So I'm just trying to put the same things on my car to get it to 400 bhp
The reason why he thinks DCC controls exhaust is because fake sound is pumped through the speakers in comfort mode where as nothing in eco. It may potentially also enable overrun etc.
This variant with the extra large exhaust tips is not a "sleeper," especially with the massive amount of HP under the bonnet. Maybe your friends can let you drive next time? Just wondering...
Looks outdated? These look decent. I personally think the BMW 1 series are some of the ugliest cars around. BMW know how to make a saloon but have no clue about hatches in terms of styling.
There's room in the back for a matress.....so you could call it a sleeper
He’s full of conversation this guy
He was a very serious individual...
Mr Serious interacting with Rick Moranis .... cinematic gold!
Opinion: people should stop putting big stupid exhaust tips on Golf Rs
there's a line and that crosses it.
I'm going with the Milltek exhaust for my 7.5 Wagon. They have oval tips which I prefer and look closer to stock
Cap
Since it’s his and you didn’t give it to him, he should do what he wants with it. I think it looks great.
The DCC does not control the exhaust valve also, thats controled by the drive profiles.... you get that witout the dcc also...
This was hard work to watch. Dave needs a rocket up his behind. Soz.
Nice car though, but please don't drive it in Eco and learn what DCC is.
Lovely looking car you can't really beat a estate looks awesome
Exhaust tips look very TACKY
Them exhaust tips make it look like a Romanian car in the uk
I have the GTD estate, brilliant car. Done a few mods nothing excessive, this is perfect but I do too many miles to warrant owning one!
Think the GTD suits you for the big miles you say you do. I sat in one before and they are decent and powerful for what they are
Its got quad tailpipes. Definitely a sleeper
They’re massive too....very subtle! 😂
What a very serious and apparently humourless character... Bit tough to watch.
Yeah...
sold mine about 2 months ago, really miss it. super fun to drive and super practical

I also have 7.5 estate in blue with custom S1 remap and R600 air intake pushing out 395bhp on the dyno with stock exhaust
Dms hmm, within 500yards from my house there’s a 485bhp mk7.5 wagon and a 522bhp mk7 5 door both sound immense , great video as per usual 👌

Dave 'Mr Happy'
Wouldn't call it a sleeper but a good video overall👍
Nice 😊
The tips are great but stick too far out.
Wicked video Luke 🤩❤️
Pains me SO much we can’t get this in NA 😩😭
You can make one out of a 4motion Sportwagen.
Yep!
Eek why is evryone so salty on here ?!😂a practical estate, quick looks good sounds good the exhaust may not be for evryone but who cares it’s not your car, enjoy it and smile
Stock downpipe? Resonated remus?
Did he say the DCC controls his exhaust? 🤔
Pops and bangs in race mode only; not in eco and comfort mode
Think so 🤣
Dave Morris yeah but thats not the ‘dcc’ the dcc is only to control the shocks and the way they rebound
@Lastname Firstname ok cool my bad, I thought the DCC ‘was’ the mode selector between eco / race etc - I see what you mean 👍🏻

Hi there. I’m looking to buy one of these right now, in this exact spec - would the owner be interested in selling? Many thanks, Mark
What spacers?

I'm with everyone else, not a sleeper. Great car though... good content. Thanks.
What stage did he tune it too . And did the back box give it 50 bhp to make it 400 bhp with tune to the gear box and engine ??

@@davemorris1589 Any dragy times?
@Paul Jacobs, no but I’d like to find out whether it’s much different to standard
This won’t be making 400 bhp , will Need downpipe and stage 2 map for them kind of figures . Obviously been on a generous dyno . DMS bullshitting people’s dyno figures 🙄 More bhp sells maps I guess

Haven’t watched every second of the video but was where it was mapped, especially the gearbox mentioned?
DMS in Southampton
I'm interested of - what kind of fuel he use, what kind of fuel people are using ? 100, 98 or 95 ? All of them are ok with the car ?
95 and above is good
i mean tbh if anyone knows there cars you wouldnt think this was a sleeper.. only a none car person.
How is this a "sleeper" with a remus exhaust 🤔 because it has a roof rack?
Just wondering if Dave has bad teeth?
I assume E means economy mode. Why
“Looks a bit bigger doesn’t it…”
Ignored*
Yeah we’re running on spacers front and back
😅😅😂😂
I was looking forward to the 0-60 times, did you get them as you mentioned the other stage 2plus, I’d love to know the difference.
It's about 5 seconds on the standard r estate
Harrison Gray with 400bhp? Should be more like 3.8
@@msherlock1607 like i said, on the standard
Harrison Gray appreciate your feedback Harrison, although I was asking about this particular tuned car!
@@msherlock1607 yeh then I'd have to guess a smidge under 4s with the upgraded horsepower :)
Go rtech in nuneaton best place in the uk guarantee

DCC is the suspension. 😲
Revving it in P 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah in N there s no limiter, although if it has a dsg mod then it shouldnt have a soft limiter even in P, my car revs to 7000 in P also
My car could blow that away. I have the Smart Fortwo Edition 1 Full electric/asphalt grey 😂😂😂😂
Nice to see golf taking on from civics in the fart noises.
I’m guessing this has no OPF
Nope 2019 and on
This variant with the extra large exhaust tips is not a "sleeper," especially with the massive amount of HP under the bonnet. Maybe your friends can let you drive next time? Just wondering...
Hardly a sleeper is it
Horrible Exhast pipes!
PMSL @ 'sleeper' !!!!!
Fast, but boring.
Another video of you driving around on public roads like utter fandangles. 🤬
I absolutely love driving round on my public roads like a fandanglez nothing better tbh. Especially when it riles your feathers so much Andy
Just awful!!!!
Useless car. This is a practical fast car, you dont mod cars like this 🤷🏼♂️ looks very outdated tbh and that exhaust is a joke
Are you for real?! What are you driving? 720s? LOL
Lastname Firstname im driving a m135i not that it matters.

Buffoon
BluePixel Motorcycling i disagree. Your saying this boring golf looks good? It doesnt even sound good
