tail cone can be temperemental, goes on one way. Use 518 sealer on it not the stuff you did
great video, loved the humor...but I was bummed you didn't show how to replace the bearings without a press...or with one for that matter.
I inspected the bearings and they both looked to be in fine condition, so I didn't bother replacing them.

Well considering this was my first attempt at rebuilding a jet ski, I'd say the only major tip I have is take loads of photos so you remember how things go back together.

Grab handle idea.... just get a 97-99 SPX grab handle from ebay. They are hard plastic and black instead of gummy purple.
I thought about that... the one I have is in fine condition though, other than the purple gumminess. I ended up wrapping it in black cotton friction tape. You'll see it in Part 5, whenever that drops.
U are able to use a Vise on the impeller shaft or will that damage it
I wouldn't recommend it, you don't want to risk warping the shaft.

I can’t remember the specific website, but if you google “adhesive vinyl sheets” a few options come up.
When putting the impeller shaft back how much grease do u want to put or do u not add grease I added both gear oil and some grease for lubricant
Yep, it's a good idea to grease the splines on both ends of the impeller shaft.
@@reed.k.h ok I did what u did in the video but if it’s not grease and just has gear oil on it is that bad
@@nabeela6102 You want to put gear oil in the pump cone (the black cone-shaped thing) to lubricate the impeller bearings, but grease is a better lubricant for the splines on the impeller shaft.
