Sentimental value. The people that want these (such as myself) grew up with this generation of pickup trucks. Add in the reliability, ease of maintenance, availability of parts, and pricing where you don’t need a loan to afford one, all drive up demand. Increased demand means increased price. @@slapshotjack9806But where do you think that fancy new plastic truck/computer will be in 30 years? I have my doubts that these new ones will be going in even just 20 years. After all, they're flawed by design. Literally. Parts built to go out by x miles with the vehicle itself designed to be replaced rather than repaired. Therefore it's a hard pass on the disposable plastic trucks for me.
Oh and one more thing. The old trucks simply look so much better than the new ones inside and out. The feel of driving one down the road actually feels like a truck ready for any task you throw it's way. Every newer truck I drive feels like a car going to round up groceries and children after soccer practice.
But hey, if spending 100k on a disposable computer on wheels is your thing then more power to you. At least you'll have a fancy television screen in the dash and a heater to warm up them cheeks. Maybe even internet in the vehicle to play some games since there isn't any real work involved with them 😂

99-00 were great. The cateyes were decent too. The 07-13 don’t hold up well. The 14-16 Silverados are the perfect modern design, it’s a throwback to the 80s. The 16-18 didn’t look as good imo.
2016-2018 sierras though are the nicest looking trucks they’ve made in the past 20 years though.
The 19+ sierras are alright. The AT4 is the best looking one. The rest played it safe and just a modern look on the 16-18. The 19+ silverados…some look okay and some are absolutely hideous. The 22 refresh looks miles better.
