Easy, home made apple compote. The flavors of Christmas in a jar (Romanian)

Ingredients (according to taste):
-apples (I used 13)
-water (I used 11 cups)
-sugar (I used 1 and ½ cups)
-cinnamon sticks (I used 5)
-lemon (I used 2)
Ingrediente (dupa preferinta):
-mere (eu am folosit 13)
-apa (eu am folosit 2.5 litri)
-zahar (eu am folosit 300 gr)
-batoane de scortisoara (eu am folosit 5)
-lamaie (eu am folosit 2)
