Hi! I am Anna, a young mother of 2 beautiful kids, and I always had a passion for food. I have a BA degree in hotel, tourism & business management from Switzerland where I've learnt so much about good food.
My internship in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and later on marring an Egyptian, also exposed me to middle eastern food. So I have quickly embraced the culture, spices, traditions and their hospitality.
I love to travel and come across different cultures and foods. I believe you can learn so much about a nation just by trying their traditional dishes, so I've always tasted authentic foods while visiting different places.

Thanks for this great review! Nice to see it’s not as big as I expected! Have you used fresh milled flour for your pasta at all? I’ve been debating on buying one of these but I just don’t love pasta so not sure if it’d be worth it! It would be nice to have for the rare days I want it!
@Stormycloudcaptain my pleasure. I did use fresh milled flour and it worked OK. As i said in the video, I added too much liquid so that was my fault. We are also not big pasta eaters but I am glad with the purchase so far. I will be trying healthier versions soon, such as buckwheat pasta as my kids love those when we buy them. I will be documenting the results, so stay tuned.
@ I can imagine with fresh milled finding the balance of water to flour is even tougher, it’s so thirsty, at least that’s how I feel with my bread dough! Awesome, I can’t wait to see more!! Your channel is so lovely, I get amazing ideas and inspiration from you 😊

Nice to see it's possible but then the explanation is a bit vague of how you could achive this. I saw that a very very hot pan can have the opposite effect :(
@amandavargas443 just heat it on medium heat. From time to time drop some water on it. The drops should slide and roll in the pan. They shouldn't immediately evaporate. That's when the pan is ready to be used. You can drop a little oil in it at that time too.

They only have 3 tbs of olive oil. You can reduce the quantity if you want.
Wow thoughs loaves are gorgeous! I need to try your recipe ❤. I have the same pans but I never grease them as they are non stick pans plus the oils can seep through the vent holes and mess up an oven. Great video, thankyou!

what if we dont have ladyfinger biscuits ? can we use other substitute
@shreyashait2586 you can use plain tea biscuits, biscoff cookies, etc but it won't taste the same or have the same texture. Usually you can order the ladyfingers online if you can't find them in stores.

Hi Anna, We enjoy this pastry whenever we are in Calgary and Love them. But at $5. a piece, I am very excited to try making them at home. I believe they use their sour dough to make theirs, but I will be trying your recipe. Thank you so much for sharing it! Blessings from Canada!

how do i make the starter for the bread
@harveymartin4821 you can make it but it will take about 10 days. Honestly it is much easier if you bought it online or get it from someone. Anyone that has a starter would be more than happy to share a tablespoon with you. If that's not an option, then a starter is made by mixing equal amounts of water and flour, discarding half every day and mixing again. You can find more detailed instructions on Google. Hope that helps.

At some point in the video instead of the typing transition text , it just appeared all at once and that was way better :) the crepes look amazing keep up the good cooking

Teflon pans are not immediately dangerous to the user, as long as you don‘t roast nuts in it or do something else where it could reach temperatures above 350C. Even if you scratch off the PTFE coating and eat it, its just going to end up in you poop, as no biological process can even begin to degrade it (in german it is called a forever-chemical). BUT the organic fluoride compounds (there are others than just PFOA) are similarly stable, and if they get into the environment, they can cause cancer, compromise the immune system/reduce vaccine effectiveness and even more stuff I can’t remember. So I guess your right for the wrong reason.

Looks delicious. Will try this recipe soon. One of the best parts of your interesting recipes is that you show how to can/jar and water bath to preserve some for shelf-stability. These old-school methods are tried and tested for generations, but not always easy to find. Thanks again for the inspiration.
@livmaher6527 thank you too! I grew up in a family where both my grandma and mother canned every year. Although I wasn't interested in it in my teenage years, now that I am a mother, my priorities changed too. I am lucky to still have them both in my life and be able to seek their guidance whenever I need to.
