How on earth do bands like this go so unrecognised??? Depeche Mode, She Wants Revenge, glorious combo. I spend hours and hours trawling TH-cam for these gems every week. It’s all worth it when you find the one❣️

Lemme give you some context, Editors came along as the poster child of the greatest of the times in the 2000's on the likes of Interpol, The Strokes, The Killers, YYY's, etc.
Editors was the UK part but a sort of follower, not the sort of bands that created the movement called Revival.
If you listen to Interpol back in the 1sts aslbums you'll hears a lot os similarities and it's bc they took what they did and make it different (I woulnd't say better cause both have their charm) the thing is...
Editors always got better every album and Interpol didn't, the opposite, then by the 3rd Editors album the get their sound and from there they improve every year, and actually is one of the few bands that (ironically) survived the movement
The race started as a copy guys but they acquired their sound and made their own way, however the reason you never heard of them as you did about, like, The Strokes is because "the first to land are the first to shine" even if the band is better than the originals, being first is more important than being better
Take The Beatles from The Rolling Stones - or The Rolling Stones from Pink Floyd or Led Zepelling from Black Sabbath
Depeche Mode is not an unrecognized bang. They're known as being one of the best bands to come out of the 80'.s.

I think I'm the only one who loves the fade-out parts. They're part of the magic of this video: love that fades away like fade-outs. Even sugar can't replace a faded love. For me, this video is a piece of art.

These guys are achieving the levels that Joy Division and Echo & The Bunnymen could've been at, had tragedy or musical differences respectively, not blighted them.
I like these guys because they remind me so much of the two greats I mentioned.....
I never ever heard about this band, but now when I listen I really enjoyed it . Will check out some more of them!

Jarosław Gackowski thank you for the lyrics, you just reminded me how much of the Taurus in Tom is in the lyrics 😂. We don't just like/love something or someone, we want to be the center of their world and attention. We actually want to OWN them! I read that these lyrics were inspired by fatherhood...which reminds me about how jealous I am of my only daughter..it's almost embarrassing when I remind her that she "is mine". Tom's passion.. the most incredible and powerful I have seen in a long time, if not the most powerful I have ever seen. Thank you Tom, thank you Editors. I hope you will revisit Zagreb someday. Words unfortunately aren't powerful and good enough sometimes to portray the weight and depth of someone's thoughts and feelings towards something but I'll use them anyway.. you guys are truly wonderful.
