I feel like the Editors are the most under-rated band we have, they've done so well as it is, but I always feel like they deserve so much more. I genuinely don't understand why they aren't more mainstream, c'mon people, Listen.
I love this. One of their best songs. Beautiful melody, and THIS voice. You know what's amazing? It's that Tom's voice matured with time. He doesnt have to do much, sometimes delicacy is the most powerful. This "I AM your Hope..." my favourite part. Almost whispered. Goosbumps. 2006 I bought a Microsoft Zune just to be different from everyone with an ipod, and it came with music from Editors, I still remember the first time I listened to them, I was 14. 2018 and I still haven’t heard them at the local radio in my country, thank god for that Zune!
Been a fan since The Back Room, was exceedingly fortunate to see them at the Barrowland Ballroom in 2020. Their music is sublime and has been a constant companion for 18 years. I am indeed grateful for their presence, and for the family of fans I've met over the years. Love you all.
Editors are miraculous. I like their latest softer songs a lot (there were few at The Weight also). This song makes me want to dive naked into a lake at night, not mind the cold or dark, and play like it's the sunniest hour of day
