I think it'd be hilarious if over time, they kept adding in more supply backpacks with more and more slots, until you get really tall Death Stranding type stacks of ammo

In Helldivers 1 they had a motorcycle as a stratagem so don’t see why the vehicle would be specific to optional mission. It would make the walking around faster which is what I’ve been waiting for since it helps get Allie’s that split off with everyone quicker whenever
Vehicles could be easily balanced by limiting the number of times the stratagem may be used, similar to the orbital laser,
If I remember correctly the vehicles strats in Helldivers 1 only had one call in use. Once they were gone they were gone
@@therazgriz0079 yeah same with mech suits. So my team would run 2 mech suits a shield and sometimes tank sometimes just barbed wire

I’m gonna be honest, Helldivers is looking like the ultimate war game. We have orbital strikes, comical amounts of explosions, vile bugs and rogue machines (let’s face it, illuminate are coming too), recon vehicles with mounted turrets, mech suits, players working together under the banner of -dictatorship- democracy… I won’t even be surprised if they add dinosaurs, it would ideally fit the bathseet insane style of the game

-Some of them even managed to take over a ship and are able to use stratagems.

Seems like with the additional 2 ammo slots on that supply backpack, we may be seeing standalone stratagem upgrading like the ship modules.

@@hedquarterz Then what would even be the reason to use the 4 stack supply bag? I hope it isn't it's own thing, it will get old scrolling through pages of obsolete stratagems if they are just the base stratagem but with more functionality.
I think that the 6 pack will only supply ammo, while the 4 pack also supplies grenades and stims.
@@Junk4u999 Seems like a weak tradeoff tbh. Usually after a combat encounter, I will typically use at least one grenade and maybe a stim if the Hunters get extra quirky.
Losing the ability to gift myself and my whole team with two entire other supplies (stims and nades) for the sake of 2 extra charges that only give ammo seems like an objective downgrade.
Maybe if you run the Stalwart MG or the base MG stratagem, but I don't see myself EVER using this backpack over base if that's truly how it will work.
@@TheMemeSharky It’s definitely a trade off, but I wouldn’t call it weak. Depending on the play style, If the extra ammo allows the team to avoid getting hurt as much, then the lack of stims might not be an issue, and depending on what other stratagems you bring, a lack of grenades might not be to bad either because you still have the supply stratagem and supplies found around the map. The supply pack could also be great solo if, like me, you love spamming the grenade launcher.
Can't remember the last time i spent the whole night playing a game with friends, this one just didn't let us go until dawn. Can't wait for all the chaos once vehicles and mechs are added

In the first game vehicles were single use. You could only call down one. They had hp and could be destroyed. I know the mechs can run out of ammo. They had effectively unlimed fuel, so most vehicles are likely to work that way. Though obviously could be changed for 2
I think for balance purposes, single use for any vehicle per person would make sense. I'm sure you can only store one of each on your Destroyer, so it makes sense before needing to manufacture a new one after it's been destroyed/abandoned.
Boi, I really hope the vehicles wont be overpowered. Many MMO games were destroyed by OP mounta already :c
All I’m thinking about is the soon to come not-so-suicide bomber meta where people just run into large groups of enemies with a cooked grenade and then warp out

In the game files under BehaviorID_bug it lists the new bug enemy types coming. Dragons, Striders, Prowlers, Tunnelers, Shriekers, Loot Bugs

Oh finally a recon vehicle, it would make traversing hot planets that drain stamina really quick less of a headache
The 6 pack is ammo only and the supply pack gives stims and grenades.
I don't see how it will be wise to use the stims and nades backpack instead of the 6 pack ammo one. Even more since there will be a medic backpack too.

I suppose its an option when only one person has the room on their back.
A lot of others may want the shield or the laser drone.
If you can't get another player to run the other 6 pack with you then the 4 pack may be a better option depending on the mission.

I've played the first helldivers and played with all the equipment in that game, so when helldivers 2 came out missing things from the first game, I knew they were going to add everything we had in helldivers so I'm really excited to see how arrowhead will upgrade all of the old content and gear.
There's gotta be some kind of drawback for being in the vehicle or else you can just mow down enemies endlessly. My guess is the gun turret will eventually run out of ammo and with enough damage from running things over the vehicle will breakdown and you'll have to call in another one which the cooldown will probably be like 10 minutes or something.
pretty much, in HD1 all vehicles had ammo, and let's not forget friendly fire is still a thing, you can absolutely one shot vehicles with airstrikes/orbitals, I would guess ramming your car against a charger/hulk wouldn't bode well for either of you.
And you only get one of them. I used to run a 2 mechs + 1 heal backpack + 1 mission specific stratagem, so that I could leave the first mech as bait when I ran out of ammo for it.@@XxLouisTKSxX
The vehicles kinda sucked vs bugs in hd1 the chargers would destroy the mechs fast. People mainly used the mechs and tanks vs cyborgs
arc shotgun functions as old arc thrower in helldivers 1, the teleporter pack used to be a perk
Presumably the new ammo pack will ONLY restore ammo, not stims and grenades. And the if the displacer works the same way it did in the first game, it won't be controllable but automatic whenever a character is about to die. Very useful in getting out from underneath a Charger's trampling or a Bile Spewer/Titan's acid spray... but it can also wind you up in the way of friendly fire or danger close strategems.

Just one car is something I've been wanting since the first time I've played.
The amount of times I've run out of time simply trying to get from place to place because I get spotted and killed by random patrols because I have to go everywhere on foot is staggering.
Just a vehicle to use to get around the map is extremely helpful.
Best guess I’ve seen is the vehicle strategies are limited to like once per mission, making it a legitimate choice between 1 car with a turret, or unlimited turrets.
That will make the vehicles feel more significant to lose, and more devastating when lost.
I think it would be better if they just had an egregiously long cd (10 ish minutes.) and took like 15 seconds to call in so it’s still a loss to lose one but it’s not the permanent loss of a stratagem for a mission (and maybe the cool down only starts once your vehicle is gone to make it really stressful if you lose one.)
I would love to see upgrade modes for things like the backpack to get 6 supplies or upgrade the rail gun to fit 2 shots before reloading, stronger shield mod etc.
These strats that be leaking are gonna add very interesting gameplay. Wonder when the update will happen… 🤔
All vehicles in the first game had a set ammunition pool when deployed and you're only able to deploy one in a match so they had limitations in place to balance em plus some vehicles like tanks and apc require teamwork to survive in unless you wanted to be swarmed. Don't know how vehicles will play in the second game since the first game was a top down isometric game but id imagine arrowhead is gonna stick to their classic way of doing things but changing a little to benefit the perspective shift to 3rd person.
on HD1 ammo on vehicles CANNOT be refilled and also called only ONCE per game. it can be healed by the medic gun though, i forgot if it can be healed by the medic drone
In Helldivers 1 vehicles had a limited ammo supply and ramming enemies didn't do a lot of damage. This means that once they're out of ammo, they become pretty much useful only to move around a little bit faster but you also can get easily overwhelmed (mech was basically a deathtrap without ammo). Tey were also limited to 1-2 uses per mission
You can use the displacer backpack to drop a 500kg bomb on you for example, and lure some big killer bugs or bots into it
it depends if 500kg does one instant damage burst in a radius effect, or if it "travels" through the said Effect zone. Imagine being teleported further from the center of explosion just to be yeeted by the blast effect XD
You can survive it with a shield

I was in a match this morning with someone I presume testing a vehicle it was awesome & drove around the map fast. One player drove while another shot the turret gun on top we were on Fenrir. It was a strat that he called down at the moment it’s a little car icon strat, man I can’t wait to get these!!!!
Vehicles seem pretty strong, I hope they add new tough enemy types (to the terminids and automatons) to balance it out a bit more
I think the difference between the 4 and 6 pack is that the 6 pack only supplies ammo, not grenades and stims.
In Helldivers 1, the vehicles were a one time only stratagem with limited ammo. In order to repair the vehicle you needed a specific tool for the job.
If you check on the rear of the destroyer, there is two door closest to the lift that has the sign (Vehicle Bay) on it.
So yeah, we might be able to call in vehicle ourselves. mech especially.
I was doing a 2 man mission and a 6 pack showed up out of nowhere. I’m not sure where it came from or what happened, but I wore it for a little bit but it wasn’t usable as far as I could tell. It just said “backpack” as the label.

It would be cool if the displacer pack stunned the enemies directly within your character when it teleports you, almost as if it confused them for a few seconds. Could be useful to run as someone that is on the frontline and could retreat to safety instantly while gaining a brief surprise advantage on a horde of robots or bugs.
The minigun has a spool-up time. 1:35 When you press the trigger, it doesn't shoot instantly, which is a nice touch.
you can run over/stomp on your squad as well. in the 1stHD when you stop hitting the gas to hop off, the vehicle still has a little bit of momentum which can kill you of run in front of it
I wonder if we could run over basic tier bugs like insta kill them but the others either take little to no damage
I hope the turret on the vehicle isn't super slow like those big turrets you can use on the ground.
I kinda also want more ship modules. The sixpack supply backpack for example sounds less useful without an upgraded supply drop that gives six as. You basicly have a six slot backpack which only is full if you call it or are really careful not to waste ammo.
I’ve seen the 6 pack ammo pack in game and I even equipped it, Some dude who had access to a bunch of strategems and a question mark on his back kept dropping them I thought it was a ship upgrade that gave it extra ammo
If the crossbow has sticky shots thatd be awesome so peicing into the enemy and then it explodes destorying armour

looks like there will be fuel in the buggy, it has a meter that says 58L on the side.
The displacer pack eould be hilarious in the right moments. If you dive or throw a grenade right as it activates without realizing its going to, then it could cause you to teleport into friendly fire or throw a bomb at a teammate
I would find it cool to hold off Automatons like how in that one halo wars 2 cutscene.
I hope the upgrades on the cars or mechs are for different attached weapons. Reactive armor would be cool too
Was in a game that someone called in the car. The turret has limited ammo. Only got to experience it for about 2 minutes before the driver drove us off a cliff and killed us all😰 😮💨😵

if you look it does seem to have fuel It went from 59L to 58L in the video.
These look cool hope we see new automaton vehicles, like vtols and trucks ect. Other thing i really want them to add is a slide for the player allowing them to slide small distance or slide down hill when on elevated terrain

Im new to the game but before the recent patch were there destroyed mech suits and vehicles on the map? If there wasnt than im all for how the devs add new stuff. They sprinkle some usable or destroyed ones first and then they release it.
I can imagine this happening. You go in for a destroy robots mission and than half way through the mission and unknown enemy drops in and starts messing bith sides up. Than later they finally introduced yhe new faction.
The tide of war will change with the vehicles
vechicles were good to use on swamp, snow,and other terrain. because it does not slow you down
God I really hope they add a bike that you can shoot from while driving, I can already see myself on a blitz mission doing drive by’s with a grenade launcher
i have a feeling theres going to be a lot of launchers with the cars getting hit by chargers and bigger bugs
That ammo pack is already in the code. When I got the infinite stategem bug i spawned with that six pack on my back and in place of my gun

always ran with displacement device in hd1. You could have it and the overpowered jet pack
I've been following the game since it came out and that was the first time I'd heard of the helldivers series. My family played Magica for a whilenon family game nights but this game just looks like the dev team yeam leveled up and was able to keep the insanity and fun. Just the right mix of sarcasm, satire, and over the top action.

The 6 pack backpack doesnt resupply Sims or nades its just ammo.
Hopefully they add other vehicles from Helldivers 1 like the Tank, and the 4 passenger APC
I really want more stealth stratagems like a invisibility cloak or something similar

Mechs are a great edition. It would be nice if they add a couple of different specialised types, like melee and ranged ones.

I think something I would add to vehicals, so that they not too OP, is have that you have to grab fuel that is stocked somewhere on the map, once the vehical runs out. Other wise squads are just going to blast through objectives and move to the next no problem. One of the core game play machanics is that it takes so long to run and you kind of have to get on with it other wise you run out of time.
If they work the same way as vehicles did in Helldivers 1, then the ammo would be limited on each of the vehicles. Then they are essentially just a taxi at that point. Also while they did allow for faster movement, there weren't indestructible. If swarmed by larger enemies that were to tall to run over, they would destroy the vehicle quickly. They worked really well in the last game so I'm not too worried about how the dev's will implement them in this game.

My guess the car will have a fuel gauge so you couldnt just drive it the entire mission so its probably gonna be used to like go from one objective to the next and thats probably it
I played a game this morning on the new order planet and he had a mech that he was calling down as a stratigem so they gotta be close to putting it in for everybody considering some people already have it

The devs have said that the mechs are basically done, they just have polish to do on it along with work on the other stuff they want to add in

I believe they gonna balance it well. Game with this much success in such a short period has good development strategy behind it. And devs are creative.

Game needs a strategem to call in a squad or 2 of regular super earth troopers. As hell divers are only special forces.
