    Awesome video-will be doing mine as soon as it warms up a bit-but you forgot to start her up and check for leaks-did it ??-leak?-does the new lock clip snap in when you put the line back in?-or no snap?- As long as she doesn't leak!-would love to see a dry driveway this summer😎👍

      Since this video my trans has not leaked. So I guess it's withstood the test of time, and I don't baby my Jeep around. I know you don't know me well enough to know how serious I take this, but I wouldn't have posted this up had it start leaking.

      thanks Chris-I was hoping that all went good-you never told me if you felt a click or snap when pushing the line back in?-just a bit of reassurance to know that its in for sure-keep up the good videos-and thanks for being my Friend 👍

      There was a defined seating of the clip, might make a click but probably not, but it should not allow the line to come back when tugged on.

      It felt obvious that it was in there from memory, the clip expanded as it falls into the track it rests in.

      I take it that you haven't done a complete line as of yet?-fingers crossed

    Im a jeep mechanic from the 90's that ring is a factory repair spacer if it leaks at the factory to tighten it up

      So if it doesn't leak, is it not necessary? Phew.. I always wondered, I just relied on, if it's working, it must be done somewhat right.

      @YourFriendStChris that's correct if it's not leaking it doesn't need it they were never but in on the assembly line they were put in by qa at the end of the line or at dealer if it leaked

    Cool video. Mine needs to be replaced and I may get two so that I have a backup, especially if they end up being $20 on Amazon one day after inflation.

    Great video. I just replaced my fitting because I noticed a leak. But my leak was coming from the metal line right at the fitting connection on the crease. Going to replace the whole line regardless. But good info.

    I've watched the video twice. Or maybe four times now. Lol how many o-rings do you end up using? Is it just the one number six o-ring? And I take it you don't use that plastic ring? Just trying to get mine to stop leaking.

    • @YourFriendStChris
      @YourFriendStChris  ปีที่แล้ว

      Supposedly it is O Ring, Spacer, O Ring but mine would not go in with more on it, so I just did one, still tight and not leaking with 35k+, but yours may require all of them.. Is that what you ended up doing?

      So at the Radiator end?

    • @YourFriendStChris
      @YourFriendStChris  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is the quick disconnect at the radiator that I am think of you'll need a set like this to get the line to pop out of the fitting..

    Is there any difference between the plastic retainer for the 800-714 adaptor and the fuel lines retainers? Or there are the same?

    • @mikemorales4830
      @mikemorales4830 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Asking because it is the second time the line comes off. First time I replace the retainer it was broken then once again it comes off

    • @YourFriendStChris
      @YourFriendStChris  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish I had the answer, I have never had to try.. though if you try it, definitely make a small one minute youtube shorts video saying wether it works or not.

    • @mikemorales4830
      @mikemorales4830 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Are not the same, I bought from NAPA the replacement. Compare and notice that are not the same. Bought the complete adaptor it comes with two 0 rings an two sleeves, also notice that the retainer has a conic figure in front of the body.
      NAPA part no. 730-4978
      Thanks
