Miu Miu, has significantly influenced the fashion industry with its playful rebellion and avant-garde approach. Initially an "anti-fashion" brand with a focus on accessories, Miu Miu has evolved into a trendsetting entity, achieving 'Brand of the Year' status with a 49% annual search increase. The brand emerged as a youthful and maximalist contrast to the '90s minimalism, challenging established norms with its playful, subversive take on fashion. It's known for its eclectic and bold designs, blending masculine and feminine elements, with a focus on youthfulness and humor. Despite its brief venture into menswear and controversies around its advertising and size inclusivity, Miu Miu has maintained its distinct identity separate from Prada, emphasising spontaneous, immediate design processes. Their collections, often featuring luxurious materials and unique details, have attracted celebrities and fashion icons, solidifying Miu Miu's status in high-fashion circles.

it should be mentioned how crucial the Asian market is to Miu Miu, there are more stores in Seoul alone than any other city and some countries in the world. Was quite bewildered when you brought up the different cities but failed to bring up Seoul even. S Korea alone is so crucial to the success of brands like Miu Miu and Thom Browne.

Thank you for your comment! We mention the influence of South Korea, specifically the ambassadorship of Im Yoon-ah and Jang Won-young in the podcast which is longer and more detailed. The challenge for us here on YT is that we need to keep our videos short and we try to share a different view. Highlighting the influence of East Asia on the luxury market seems obvious as East Asia drives most of the luxury market across literally every major luxury fashion brand so whilst it is an important factor it feels a little like we are teaching our audience to "suck eggs", perhaps insulting their intelligence a little when stating obvious things. I hope you understand our perspective, but thank you for contributing to the conversation.

Idk the “sucks eggs” reference but I didn’t know that fact. Will definitely look into your podcast. I do all my luxury shopping when I get out to Vegas bc the selection is always stocked. The miu miu at crystals in aria closed and I was shocked!

Influencers and ambassadors also play an important role for example their latest ambassador MOMO have a big impact on Miu Miu and help the group of Prada
